Absolutely awesome service. I was serviced by a smith named Mike or Mark. I'm not 100% sure, but regardless, he very quickly, effectively and cheaply was able to fix the shoddy work of prior locksmith from a separate company I had called. Long story, but a couple months ago I lost my mail key and had to get my lock replaced. Being broke, I called around to several smiths and took the cheapest quote I got-- Big mistake. This locksmith (from a completely separate company than City One) not only ended up charging me 3 times as much as he original quoted me, but did an awful job. He was loud and obnoxious. The lock he installed was loose, and I held it together for several months with rubber bands and tape. This morning, I decided I needed a more permanent solution and called City One. They arrived far quicker than the previous locksmith and were absolutely aghast at his shoddy work. Apparently, the prior locksmith didn't even put the proper lock in. It took the City One Smith half the time, half the noise, and ultimately, half the money, for a much more secure and higher quality lock. Thank you so much!! read more

Do yourself a favor and get some quotes from other locksmiths before you go with these guys. I was given a quote of 250 dollars to install a deadbolt in my door but I was able to get it done with another company for only 105 dollars. I guess it's their prerogative to charge what they want but this was So overpriced it almost seems dishonest. read more

hello. so I had a key I needed to duplicate. but it was not a standard, ordinary, run up the mill kind of key. do we have time for a little backstory? I had a different key I wanted duped, and I took to it home depot and two other places trying to get a copy. and all for naught. finally I went to a locksmith. it was a different locksmith but that's not the point. the point is I now have more faith in locksmiths. but for this new key, I was in Burbank and needed a copy. so I called a locksmith listed on yelp and told him I wanted a key copied. and he said he only did auto keys. and then I called a second and his place was being renovated and he would have drive to me. I didn't want to pay for his gas. so I called. third guy and he only did auto keys. for crying out loud, how could I find a locksmith to copy a key?! well, let's jump to the end. I contacted City One Locksmith. And the locksmith actually copied my key. and what is best of all, it worked! It opened my lock! Hallelujah! Thank you Mr. Locksmith Man. You are a 5 Star Smith. I contacted Mike at City One Locksmith after reading some of the positive reviews and seeing his 5 star rating on Yelp. I am glad I did. He came the same day I contacted him and quickly fixed our front gate lock and re-keyed the lock to use the same key that all our residents had. In addition he re-keyed our unit locks and made us new keys. I guess these are things that many locksmiths can do. However, what set Mike apart is the very easy communication, prompt response and care with which he approached his work. Besides re-keying the locks and installing a new lock at the front gate, he lubricated our unit locks because they were all "dry" inside. I really didn't notice this until I locked and unlocked the door after Mike did his work. It was so much smoother. Finally, what really blew me away is his willingness to come on July 4 (Independence Day) and make us a few extra keys. When he changed the front gate lock and re-keyed it, we tried it with a few of the old keys and they worked without issues, however, after Mike left, some of my neighbors came home and realized their keys don't work. I texted Mike the next day (July 4) and asked him if he was working on July 5, because I didn't want to bother him on a holiday. To my surprise, however, he came out on July 4 and made a few extra copies of my good key so I can distribute to the neighbors. I really appreciated that.
