Dear Dylan, Yes you did called and followed up, but no discount was offered. You still offered the same 399 they offered me during the visit. Our disagreement during the visit was that he wasn't great at calculating the rate. I calculated it 3 times to explain the total wasn't adding up. We eventually got it right after calling the company. Plus the service that was offered om the phone was contradicted in person. At that point i choose not to add the monthly plan. I contracted for a year with Citywide exterminating because of a problem with moles and voles in our yard. Over the course of the year, they caught two moles, so it cost about $600 per mole and my yard is still full of mole tunnels and holes. read more

Would advise to give customers written agreement prior to service. Do not ask customers to sign an agreement electronically without providing a hard copy in advance. Ideally, it should be sent via email prior to service. When requesting that my husband see a copy first, this made it a pretty cumbersome process. The tech who serviced us also made a comment that sometimes customers have too high expectations and call everytime they see a bug. He referenced one tech who was "dealing with a difficult customer." My understanding was that they would come out if there were bugs between contracted quarterly services no questions asked. Hearing a tech talk behind other customer's backs was concerning to us. Unlike other companies our family and extended family has used in the past (particularly Ivey who has done a fantastic job for them!) in the Charlotte area, City Wide only treats "critical areas." Our expectations from prior successful exterminating experiences involved full baseboard sprays inside. The supervisor who called to address our concerns made one comment that was very innappropriate: questioning WHY we would ask about their cancellation policy. Because as a consumer, we have that right and any informed consumer should inquire of contract details at ANY company. We chose City Wide due to their presence in our community, but their practices and policies did not meet our expectations. We do appreciate that a supervisor reached out to explain their reasoning, but City Wide's overall policies and procedures didn't match what we anticipated. Do your homework and ask for contract details with ANY company. City Wide does draft monthly, but fine print indicates it is a 12 month commitment, with a 50% penalty for early cancellation. We rarely do business with any company that requires an annual contract and monthly draft. Always a red flag for business practices. The company our other family members use are billed quarterly, which is what we will seek out in the future. Will be switching to Ivey per several high recommendations from friends and family. read more

I used them as a result of calling 5 of the highest rated pest control companies on Angie's List. City Wide had the pest price on a single inside and outside spraying with no contract. We had a wide variety of bugs popping in from time to time and after the treatment the only bugs we have seen have been dead! The tech was very knowledgeable and professional. I had no problem letting this guy in my house and around my family. I also had him do a mosquito yard treatment while he was here. I will probably continue using them for the rest of the summer because my kids loved not being mosquito dinner. I will use them again for pest control if I see anymore creepy crawlers. read more

I called city wide because I thought I had bed bugs. Turns out I had poison ivy. Dylan came when he said he would. He performed a thorough and professional inspection. Even though he didn't find any bed bugs he left me some traps and told me. How to use them. Also, the inspection is good for 30 days. I would use City Wide Exterminating again. read more

I know I have the cleanest house. I would never have thought to see German roaches in my home. It was disgusting. I got several estimates from pest control companies. I decided to use City Wide exterminating company. They are knowledgeable about the cycle of roaches and I was so thankful to be educated on how they multiply and what to do to prevent them. I have learned that the cleanest houses can have an embarrassing pest invade their home! I don't even LIKE writing about Bed Bugs! Never in our lives would we ever think these critters would invade any residence we lived in, but it happened! I called City Wide Exterminating to ask for someone to confirm my suspicions. Dylan Morrison, their Technical Director called me back very quickly and answered every crazy question I had! Where did they come from? Guess what? They can come from anywhere! A movie theater, your job (yes, even from a hospital), any seat where they could hitch a ride. It's pretty scary! Dylan went over all my options and he was at our home within a few days. He even tried to juggle his schedule to come as quickly as possible. Frankly, hubby and I were freaking out over the whole thing, had removed our bed to the garage, TRIED to sterilize the bedroom and were sleeping on the sofa's downstairs. Dylan came armed with his tools of the trade at 8am and worked on our master bedroom, bathroom, closet and family room couches until around 12pm. I can tell you that Dylan and his company take their work VERY seriously and want to leave you feeling better after the experience. I must have asked him a million questions, but he was patient and answered ALL of them. Prior to his visit he coached me on what to do with our clothing, etc. These BB's are a royal pain in the you know what! Best part of this experience? Dylan left us feeling like the problem was SOLVED. He emailed me several times checking up on us to make sure they were eradicated! If I found a bug and sent him a picture he would tell me "no worries, it's an XYZ, not a BB". WHEW! The follow-up visit was 3 weeks later which was included in the cost and he sprayed more and double checked the couches and anywhere else they may still be hiding. If you're thinking a hardware store will help you solve your own problems? Guess what? Don't waste your money. Dylan found ONE (yes ONE) bedbug after he disassembled the bedframe and it was UNDER a screw in the hole! Seriously???? So in total, we found 3 of these nasty, biting pests before it turned into a much worse situation. So if you have your suspicions, I can't encourage you enough to call City Wide Exterminating as quickly as possible! And by the way, this is a family business that CARES! We had a great experience with City Wide Exterminators. They were very friendly and professional and removed a raccoon from our chimney in under an hour. He even placed a temporary cap of sheet metal to keep the raccoon out and offered to get us a quote on a new permanent cap for our chimney.
