Great food and service. I stopped in for lunch and this will be added to my lunch rotation when I'm working Downtown. The menu is extensive so they have something for everyone. I will definitely add them to my list if I come Downtown for a show, the drink menu was impressive.

Service was lackluster, crowded seating and super LOUD. Over all very overpriced for what you get and it is college bar food at best with fancy words. The beer battered Cod was a small, grease soaked mess. The Cole slaw was kind of room temperature warm with a very light dressing and the fries seemed to be cooked at too low of a temperature and were really not worth eating. I was wondering why so many tables around us had fries left on the plates but realized as soon as ours arrived. No one at our table ate more than one or two. The cheddar Mac could have come straight from a box and the Steak Bowl was.....really a little steak tip with a side of rice and a side of broccoli. So a "deconstructed" steak bowl. A very large beer selection seems to be the establishments biggest draw.

I have been here several times, and I feel this is a perfect 3.5 restaurant. It always has a clean feeling with tons of workers, but the food could be hit or miss. The last time we went my food was a hit and my husbands was a miss. We were here for brunch on Saturday with some friends to start a birthday celebration. We got two appetizers...fried pickles and the popcorn chicken. Both options were a great choice! My meal was so good. I got the BLTE with no arugula with the cheesy potato casserole. The sandwich was swoon worthy...loved the bacon and garlic aioli. My husband got a salad and there was some sort of herb that he really did not like...sadly at all!

I love this place. It's always so lively, the employees are always nice, and the service is quick most of the time. The beer selection is phenomenal. Shrimp tacos from City Works Restaurant Market Square They're crispy, saucy, and I loved the slaw. I am not a coleslaw person but this was an exception.

Arrived near opening on a weekday. Within an hour it was packed with the corporate lunch crowd. Definitely popular with the locals. Our server Honesty was genuinely passionate that we also left in love with the place and assuredly we did. Loved the eclectic menu, the presentation of food and drinks, outstanding service, epic location in Market Square and the food was delicious. Perfect respite while walking Pittsburgh to thoroughly enjoy its people, local color, grand architecture and irreplaceable epic vibe!

Dined outside for lunch on a beautiful fall day. Our waitress Lachelle was a 10/10! My friend and I each started with a cucumber mule which was delicious and refreshing. We then shared chicken tacos and the brisket egg rolls. The tacos were really good, the chicken had great flavor. The egg rolls were good but I personally didn't love them. All in all would recommend this place, great beer/drink selection. Lots of TVs to catch a game, nice vibe.

I visited City Works with a large party (16 people) on a Friday afternoon. We made a reservation a few weeks before our visit so they were ready for our party to arrive. The greeters and waitstaff were great for the most part. Towards the end, it took a while to get our check. But the food was good. I ordered a house salad and the southern Mac n cheese (no red onions in mine). In addition to the food being good, the location is prime and they have a great bar area to watch sports on.

7/29/25 Ate List: Grilled Chicken Sandwich - 8.4 A surprisingly solid lunch. When they opened, spot was less crowded than expected for a lunch rush. Portion size was ideal, flavors were spot on, and as a whole was a very solid first impression. If this was just a touch cheaper - this spot would become a near weekly occurrence for me.

We ducked into CW during Picklesburg to cool off and grab a bite for lunch. Our server, Logan, was super nice and took our orders quickly. We tried three of their Brunch options: the classic breakfast, the chiliquillis and the breakfast tacos. The side of potato casserole was very delicious and heavy with cheese and bacon. The tacos had lots of scrambled egg, some bacon and smoked tomato with an extra add on of avocado that was pretty puny to be honest. They were good. Their espresso martini was very good, not overly sweet and their pickle martini was awesome. They always have an incredible beer selection too. This place is a solid and reliable option when you're in town and good for larger parties.

Located in Market Square, a large restaurant with tons of seating and a huge bar that offers TONS of drink/beer options. Not sure about parking as we walked there. There is some construction happening so things are a little out of sort with the square itself. We did have reservations as they were easily made on the website. However, not sure we would have needed them. The employees were nice and friendly. Not as attentive due to being busy. Food came out quick. Menu options are good. Things were tasty but nothing that we will talk about having to have again. Typical bar grub. Reasonable prices for what you get.

Was staying nearby and needed a place to grab a quick bite before starting the night and this was perfect for just that. They had a pretty good beer list so we had a couple of flights and since i know what I like when it comes to beer I knew id be just fine. I was a little disappointed that I couldnt make my own flight, I feel like it shouldnt be hard to give people the choice but otherwise solid choice for lite bites and beers.

Let's start with the positive, and let's face it, it's gonna be mostly positive. The atmosphere here was great! For it being such a busy weekend, (Pitt graduation weekend), our server Matt, was phenomenal! We had a party of 13, and Matt handled us flawlessly, he was personable and made the experience that much more enjoyable; from cracking jokes, to recommending menu items, to bringing me a taster of beer to sample! To drink, I first tried the orange old fashioned, which was good, my only complaint is they used cubed ice, instead of one big ice cube, so it became watered down fast. My second drink was a beer, bumble berry ale, which was crisp, refreshing and just the right amount of sweet. Now, what we've all been waiting for, the food! I ordered the smokehouse combo, with pulled pork and pulled chicken. My sauces were classic bbq and mango habanero. My sides were French fries and coleslaw. The pulled chicken was very good. I was shocked it came pre-sauced due to being able to order two sauces with the meats. The sauce that came with was very good. Had a bit of a cake and overall I enjoyed it. Now onto the pulled pork, which I'm assuming was smoked pork shoulder you could absolutely taste the smoke flavor and I'm assuming they used mesquite wood. Unfortunately, the pulled pork was quite dry and not up to my expectations. Both were delicious with my favorite being the mango habanero perfect amount of sweetness to counteract heat. French fries fries are absolutely just french fries. Coleslaw was delicious, it was not a vinegar coleslaw it was your usual mayonnaise coleslaw but it was not a typical group you're used to at a church picnic or potluck. Overall, I would recommend if you go ask for Matt as your server.

The beer selection here is excellent, and they get bonus points for incentivizing folks to drink locally brewed beers during happy hour. Their food portions are small for the price, so I advise you to go during happy hour and stick to the dishes that are discounted. The service was also hit or miss the night I stopped in. All said, I think this is an ok place to gather occasionally but I wouldn't make it a habit.

    They do have a bar.

What the distance between this business and Heinz Field?

A 25 min walk or take the tram at gateway center. That should take 3-12 min! Ha

Is there parking garage or lots nearby ? Me n my wife are going there in sept for a college reunion get together

There is some street parking on Wood Street and Boulevard of the Allies. There is a parking garage on boulevard on the Allies and one connected to the Hilton Garden Inn in market square.

Now, I am going to take you on a journey just like the books Belle read so strap in. We had a 5:45 PM reservation, and even arrived a few minutes early. The hostess/employee (I don't want to assume positions) took me upstairs for a table right by the window, which will be an awesome view when the construction finishes. It was also a beautiful sight of that part of the city as-is. When I was seated, I was one of a few tables seated. It was not full or even busy at that time. Also, as we were seated, we were given waters. My friend joined me about 5-7 minutes after the reservation time. We then ordered our drinks at about 6:00/6:05 PM. From there, we waited and did not meet our waiter, who will be referred to as sweet baby angel Max from here on out, until about 6:20 PM. We ordered an appetizer and two entrees at around this time. Our orders had some modifications but nothing major. By this time, many more tables were seated upstairs and others seemingly received their alcoholic drinks and even appetizers by the time we received only our drinks around 6:30-6:40. Our drinks were big, too, which is great, but that also meant we had to drink them a little more quickly due to the time constraints with the show. We were enjoying ourselves but noticed multiple more tables receiving not only their drinks and apps but also their entrees. Once 6:55 came, we had to tell sweet baby angel Max about our predicament. I will be honest and say we suggested for our drinks to be comped at least - not only for the wait and lack of courtesy with everyone else receiving their items before us despite our arrival and reservation time, but for the fact that we would have maybe 15 minutes to eat, finish our drinks, pay, take our food back to our cars, and make curtain time. What sweet baby angel Max did next flabbered our gasts -- he said not only will our drinks be comped but our whole meal will be comped. He also helped pack our food and kept it in the back so we didn't have to worry about going back to our cars. We made sure to tip him with all we had! We are so glad we did because when we returned after the show, he had the kitchen remake the food and kept it warm for us. When you go to The Eagle, ask for sweet baby angel Max and you will not be disappointed with him, the service, or the food. Because even when they may mess up? The Eagle gets it right with their classy attitude and positive treatment of their customers. You definitely have multiple return customers just from this encounter. Thank you!!!

LOVED our dinner at this place…read more We came here for dinner while visiting Pittsburgh. The first thing that struck me was the interior decor. Very industrial and moody with an open kitchen/preparation area that adds some intrigue. I do like to see the happenings of what's going on as someone with zero attention span. Service was excellent. George was fantastic. He kept a close eye on us without being overbearing. He anticipated what we might need so we didn't spend one second waiting to order anything. The menu is not endless or overwhelming which, presumably, allows them to focus on the items that are listed. I have decision panic so it was kinda nice to have less things to choose from. They asked if there were any allergies or dietary restrictions so I mentioned my vegetarianism. George went through the menu and pointed out the vegetarian options including what seems like it is vegetarian but isn't. They had TWO vegetarian entree options and fortunately the non-mushroom one was something I probably would have ordered anyway: pesto with walnuts, arugula, and a very generous amount of grated cheese. To start, I ordered the Brussels sprouts whichc I was warned had fish sauce. This was fine but nothing that blew me away. GF, on the other hand, loved this. GF ordered the wedge which was brought to our attention as vegetarian with the bacon on the side, which was her request. We ended up sharing both, a large part of that was because hers came out first and I couldn't wait but I'm so glad because the wege was FANTASTIC. The dressing? holy fuck pure ecastasy. The wedge was more like a filet shape which was much easier to eat. Who decided on the wedge shape anyway? The lettuce was so fresh and crisp and went wonderfully with that orgasmic dressing and breadcrumbs. Back to my pasta. Also delectable. Noodles were al dente. The sauce was creamy and packed that pesto umami flavor. The walnuts were a really nice contrast in texture. Everything about it absolutely fucking slapped. GF ordered the mushroom entree which came served on a bed of barley which, don't mind if I do, had a few forkfuls to "sample" for "my review". Again, so fucking good. Because it was my birthday, George provided a dessert (yuzu maybe?) that was served inside a meringue-esque igloo, creamy perfect balance of sweet and tart custard with some berry business underneath. Wonderful. I almost forgot their spectacular cocktails! Holy shit, literally they have a CORN CHIP cocktail that I could not pass up. It comes with two massive cornchips on top of a flavored foam. When you bring the glass up to sip, the cornchips are right in front of your nose and their aroma sets the stage for the drink which was STRONG. It wasn't as corn chip forward as I expected but I understand that flavor is probaly hard to create. For my second drink, I ordered the blue one which was refreshing, light, and really good. GF ordered a spritz which was gorgeous "it was good". For second round, I picked out some uranium thing that was very cucumbery, GF says, "it was good". I just read it outloud to her. "it's true!" Fantastic meal at a great place.

My son called and made reservations. The day came at I met him in the hotel lobby. We took the elevator up to the 25th (27th?? Can't remember) floor where the restaurant is. When we got there we were told that they weren't ready yet. We didn't even tell them we had reservations. So we waited. . . and waited. Finally my son walked over to the bar and told them that we had reservations. The bartender called a server out. She asked us if we were doing fine dining. I said that I wanted to check out the menu to see what they had. She took us to the back of the restaurant. We found out later that there was a nicer area but it was closed off. All of a sudden all of these people started coming in. It took us a minute and we realized that they were guests of the Embassy hotel. They must have been given tickets for free drinks. The bar line was long and stayed long. They were also given access to a very small snack buffet. The server that waited on us was the one and only server working the entire restaurant. She was constantly cleaning tables and checking on the snack buffet. So we had to wait ridiculous amounts of time to order, to get our food, and to even pay. I had ordered a cup of lobster and corn chowder. When I finally got it, it was barely room temperature. It tasted like it was straight out of a can. There was one tiny piece of lobster and about half a can of corn. I hadn't eaten since breakfast and was starving so I ate it. My son tried it and gave it a hard pass. As my entree I ordered shrimp tacos. There was seemed to be fresh pico on it but the shrimp was 90% breading. Not good. My son ordered the club type sandwich. It had a nice portion of meat on it and tasted ok. (That is what the one star is for.). Was very disappointed from start to finish. I won't be back. Ever.
