Unfortunately, I have to be a negative reviewer because on the night my friends and I came here, the food was pretty bland. The potato Croquestas are not it. The risotto was very bland the meats are very dry. The food maybe after they have served you a couple of shots. Service was good, our server came by to check up on us a couple of times. It's pretty loud here, but its a bar..

Stopped in and split appetizers for dinner. Got pizza rolls which were deep fried egg rolls with pizza filling and pizza sauce to dip and crab dip with pretzels and tortilla chips. Egg rolls were "ok" and crab dip was "oily " and just "ok" Not sure I would try again. Upside our server was very nice and attentive and cold pints of beer were 3.75!

Came for dinner and had a great experience. Our waitress Jodie, was super friendly and helpful. I ordered the stacked mac for my dinner and she said it was one of her favorites and recommended I switch the buffalo sauce on the chicken to a honey bbq and it was a great choice. My only complaint was it came with a lot of mac and cheese and only 3 kinda small chicken pieces but it was still plenty of food to fill me up. Definitely looking forward to coming back and trying some other dishes.

Amazing. We loved the vibe and atmosphere from the second we walked in. Everything came out fresh and tasted amazing! Have gone back for a second time and will be going back many more.

I was surprised that me and my friends popped in here late night and the service was super quick and the staff was nice even for the place to be packed. The fried crab balls taste like heaven and I didn't want to share with my friends but I did. Next time I go, I'm ordering it for myself. However we sent the crab dip back because it didn't taste as good. The crab balls set the bar way too high. But the staff understood and took it off the bill. Also the stacked Mac tastes like comfort food heaven. The drink specials are cheap, the food is quality and the vibe very much gives Pittsburgh bar.

The food was very good, amazing portions and prices. It's just classic American bar food but they have a ton of options so all type of eaters can find something here. The Greek salad was really good, I'm usually picky with my salads when I'm ordering out because it's usually a half assed salad but this one was really great. The service was very slow but there was only two workers during dinner rush. The vibe was a typical casual bar. The drinks were alright not amazing.

Dive Bar and Grille in Southside is one of my neighborhood go to's. Service is quick and food is consistent. I usually get the Thai chicken wrap or ahi tuna wrap, both great options! My last time in I started and got a chicken sandwich. It was huge & messy to eat! I enjoyed it but not much can beat the ahi tuna wrap. I do feel like the tator tot portions are skimpy when they are subbed for a side.

Unfortunately, the food was merely average. On top of that, the kitchen must have been backed up because we waited FOREVER for our food. Let's start with the food highlight - the fish and chips. A large beer battered piece of delicate fish served with nice, crispy fries. Really good. Unfortunately everything else was average. We enjoyed the Scotch eggs. Check that, we enjoyed the Scotch egg. We ordered a half portion for $9, thinking we'd be too full if we got the full portion. Wrong about that one. $9 for one egg. We also ordered the goat cheese toast with tomato jam. It was a few pieces of French bread with a smear of goat cheese spread. Four small pieces for $12. I expected more. For the other mains, we got the bangers and mash, the smoked salmon sandwich and the pot roast mac. Each was Ok but nothing to write home about. The mac and cheese was bland. This is a small family run business that needs support, plus it's such a neat little place that I'd love to come back, but I just don't see that happening.

I wanted to place a carryout order. I first tried online but there was a glitch somewhere in the system. I called instead. When the phone was answered, the background noise was intense. It was so loud that the employee couldn't hear me. At that point I decided to just go in and order. When I walked into Urban Tap, the noise was almost deafening. Music blaring, voices raised to be heard. No one was using their "inside voices", they couldn't. I sat at the bar to order. I never got waited on. I finally caught the attention of one of the bartenders and was ready to place an order. We leaned towards each other, yelling to try to be heard. I couldn't hear her when she read back my order. I really wasn't sure what I'd be getting. Unfortunately, I did get what I ordered - brunch breads and an order of biscuits. It took quite a while to get food - no surprise there. I checked our food when I got it. Oh Lordy, those biscuits looked good. This southern girl appreciates a good biscuit and did these look good. I got the food to the car and we headed out on the next leg of our adventure. About an hour later, I just had to grab one of those golden, flaky discs. Butter? Jam? Nah, the biscuits looked like they could solo on their own. I took one bite and my eyes flew open - not from the deliciousness, it was because of the sheer amount of salt. That can't be right so I took another small bite. I tried a teeny bite of the next biscuit. Salt. The biscuits were inedible. No, I don't mean that I didn't like the flavor. They contained so much salt that there was no way someone could eat these. That's ok, there was the banana bread French toast. It looked a little dark in color but it never crossed my mind that this might not be normal. I took a bite. It tasted odd, off, something wasn't right. My husband pegged it - it was burned. Before grilling or after? No idea. There were also a couple of donut holes. Not even worthy of a second bite. I also ordered fruit. It was good but still not enough to save the meal from dismal failure. We won't be back .
