Overall not my favorite food but wasn't bad either! Restaurant was large and had a good size bar too. It was very very clean! Service was friendly. I was really cold and ordered a hot cocoa which was on the menu. Unfortunately, they didn't actually have any. But they did have tea so I got that! The food was really salty for me; I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and it was too dry and salty for my liking. My tots were good but also too salty. I guess if you like salt this place is for you lol Potstickers were ok but not the best I ever had. Again, not a bad experience, nothing bad happened, but my taste isn't necessarily for this place. Pretty standard American bar/restaurant menu and appearance. read more

Stopped here for dinner before a Pirates game. The service was excellent. Our waitperson was attentive. The restaurant is bright, open and not in the least crowded feeling. The food was excellent. My partner had a turkey bacon wrap that was cooked to perfection. I had a grilled chicken dinner with roasted tomatoes, rice and a side salad. Typical sports bar vibe with several Andy Warhol prints on the wall. My husband and I ordered peach Kentucky mules, which were light and peachy, but not very strong ( we each had two and I didn't get a buzz at all). We ordered a Bavarian pretzel which were actually several small bites and filling, but brought to the table with everything else, and not as a starter per se. My husband ordered the Pittsburgh Chicken salad, a large salad topped with chicken and covered with French fries, a Pittsburgh thing. He said "it was a good salad, but nothing special." I ordered bourbon glazed salmon, a generous piece of salmon accompanied by delicious broccoli ( actually the best part of the meal to me) and rice pilaf. Our friend had a problem with her food ( undercooked) and it was handled quickly, efficiently and very professionally. She was offered a redo, but she decided on another dish. Our table was visited by both the manager AND the chef, the latter who was apologetic. (Wow!!) A complimentary dessert ( chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream) was brought to our table ( no pre eaten photo lol) as well. Both the original dish, as well as her replacement dish, were comped. Talk about management getting things right. ( the reason why I bumped this review from a 3 to a 4). Unfortunately, our server was not as attentive as she could have been, but she was nice. read more

SoHo is right across the street from PNC Park, which was the main reason we chose to stay at the Marriott -- and the restaurant ended up being the best bonus we could have asked for. We ate here every single day during our stay, and every visit was excellent. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made each experience enjoyable. We tried a wide variety of items: fried zucchini sticks, wings (both bone-in and boneless), spinach dip, nachos, Caesar salad, cheese pizza, turkey burger, and the classic cheeseburger -- and honestly, everything was outstanding. Not one thing disappointed us. The cheeseburger in particular deserves special mention. The lettuce was chopped and mixed with pickles, giving it a fresh and flavorful twist instead of the usual sliced pickles. It was such a small detail, but it made a big impression and quickly became one of my favorites. SoHo became our go-to spot while in Pittsburgh. The food was consistently delicious, came out quickly, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Between the great food, friendly service, and unbeatable location, SoHo absolutely delivers. Visited Soho Sunday morning before the Steelers game. We arrived around 10 am and had no wait to get a table for 2. Pretty much everyone there was a Steelers fan. They don't have any brunch or breakfast food on the menu which wasn't an issue for us - we just needed to get some food in our bellies before tailgating before the 1 pm game. We had to wait a little bit for our server to come over but once he took our order, he was on top of everything - he refilled my soda without asking and anticipated when we'd be ready for our bill. I had a chicken quesadilla, and my husband had the Ruben with tater tots. Everything came out good and we were happy we came by! It was a nice, clean & comfortable environment read more

Stopped in for lunch on Sunday and it was quiet. The dining area is spread out and spacious. The atmosphere is very cozy for a sports bar. Our booth was large and comfortable. I enjoyed my grilled chicken sandwich. I liked how the bun itself was grilled and had some char. I chose a garden salad for my side. I was surprised at how large it was. The vegetables were fresh and crisp. Everything was great. Our server Jaiden was attentive and happy to answer questions about the drink menu. read more

Based on the name I thought this place would be a little more upscale! It's a gastropub with high top tables and bar seating, lots of wood. The menu is not gluten free friendly at all which was disappointing. I ordered the cobb salad to go- the bacon was uncooked fatty piece and there was way too much lettuce but eatable at least. The beer selection is decent and same with mixed drinks but if you're looking for a true old fashioned, this is not your place. Made with chopped ice (not a block) and maraschino cherry, super cheesy. Will not be back, too many other decent places around! read more

We're visiting Pittsburgh for college tours and staying at the Marriott in downtown Pittsburgh. We stopped in the Soho restaurant that is attached to our hotel for a quick drink and appetizers before a Pirates game. We were seated at 6:10 - over 10 minutes later our server came to greet us and apologized for taking so long as no one informed her she had a table. We gave her our drink order and put in two apps. At 6:40 we still hadn't received our apps and found the most disgusting foreign object in my son's soda. We asked another server to get our server and told her we wanted to cancel our food, pay for our drinks and leave. Our server went to tell a manager - the next minute our apps show up at the table. Our server comes to the table and informs us the manager will not take the food off our bill but she will pay for it if we just want to leave. We were livid - no way we're making our server pay for something that we didn't even touch. My husband angrily told the manager were not paying for apps (or the disgusting drink) and the manager told us he would not be taking it off bc the ticket time was 15 minutes - I don't know when it was run in or what went wrong but we sat there for 40 minutes!! In what world is this customer service?!? My husband told him in no uncertain terms there was no way in hell we were paying for this food. We paid for our 4 drinks tipped the waitress and left. This restaurant needs to review their managers and customer service. Such a poor experience to have in pittsburgh when friends say there are so many other amazing options. read more

I had two meals here. I had a mushroom Swiss impossible burger with tater tots after a Pirates game. SoHo is right across the street from PNC Park. They have several burger options and you can substitute Impossible patties on all of them. My burger was great. It came with raw onions, lettuce and tomato. Taste was perfect. And I love tots Came back the next day and had pirogues. They were stuffed with cheese and mashed potatoes and served with kielbasa caramelized onions and steamed broccoli. I absolutely loved them. Cooked to perfection they had a great taste. Of course I had to get a side order of tots Reasonably priced $30 for lunch and dinner which included an order of pot stickers (not shown) came to $55 with two beers. I ate at the bar both days and the service was outstanding. Great friendly staff If you come to Pittsburgh for a Pirates game think about staying at the Springhill Suites North shore. It's right across from the ballpark and SoHo is attached to the lobby and you can charge your meals and beverages to your room read more

I met a friend here for dinner on a Monday and there were lots of open tables and parking available. I'm sure this place gets packed on event days though due to the location. It's a big space with lots of tables, so it's be great for groups as well. We both ordered drinks, a meal, and dessert. Although the prices were a bit high for what the food was, I was pleased with my meal and experience. I had the pierogis dinner with kielbasa and it was really good. I'd definitely get it again. Takes 45 minutes to get our app after we ask our waitress about it. 2 minutes later just started eating the app our orders came out. My girlfriend's chicken wrap was lukewarm and soggy at on arrival. Im guessing they forgot to put the app in and decided to wait to bring out our entres that were done. The rest of the food was good. We were randomly walking around looking for a place to eat within walking distance of our hotel and found this place. This place was cute and we sat outside. The atmosphere was casual but modern. The food was amazing. Their pretzels and quesadillas were delicious. The quesadilla was very thick which I loved. Ahhhh, we were here for a baseball game in Spring. I remember the place well because the little door and the big red sign. There are plenty of places to sit and eat, we were starving and really needed a good cold beer. Place was clean, tables did not rock back and forth for wobbly eating. Restrooms were clean, just slow service. Not too slow but slow enough to bother the both of us. I had the fish and chips, nice and light. I needed lemons, which should have come with them but none were on the plate. I had to ask 3 times before I was able to get any. Bloody mary's were good though and the beers were cold. Thank goodness. The others had Western BBQ burgers, which all looked fantastic. One had to be taken back, it was too well done. Overall, not bad. read more

The service was extremely poor. We had to remind the server several times about drinks we ordered as she kept forgetting to put them in. There was a delay with one of our meals. After brining it 10 minutes after the other food items, she did not check one time if the food was actually correct with the kitchen having struggled. It happened to be very undercooked and not edible. Mixed drinks were made incorrectly and were all lime and lemon juice and could not be consumed. Lettuce in the salads was brown. The server and kitchen would have seen the food wasn't good and did not care. A truly awful dining experience but par for the course for this restauran as they could care less about their terrible food and service. read more

I'd rate SoHo three and a half stars. We came here for dinner after walking around the north side for a bit. I had the fish and chips while my wife had the impossible burger. Fish and chips were great. Both were very crispy and had just the right amount of greasiness. I drizzled the fish in lemon and it worked out nicely. Beer selection was limited to macros. After a rough night in Pittsburgh I was pretty tired, pretty aggravated, and pretty hungry. Instead of looking for a place to go I got lazy and popped into SoHo (which was located right in the hotel I was straying at) to order some dinner before taking it back to my room. The staff was super friendly and the menu had a decent amount to offer. It didn't take me long to pick something as the special pork belly burger immediately caught the eye of both me and my stomach. The food was made super fast and they even gave me a refill of my ginger ale before I left. When I got back to my room and finally dug in, I was in a pork belly burger heaven. The pork belly was absolutely delicious and actually made my mouth water. The mashed potatoes that the burger was served with were pretty darn good as well. Overall, SoHo did me right and I have no complaints at all. I loved my pork belly burger, the staff was friendly, and the restaurant itself was super nice as well. If you need somewhere to eat downtown, I would totally recommend SoHo! read more

While housed in a hotel building, SoHo is not a hotel restaurant. The clean decor and abundance of natural light created such an inviting atmosphere that I ate two meals there in one day. Without a Pirates game going on across the street, the Monday lunch crowd was larger than dinner. That was fine with me. There was music at lunch and football on the TVs at dinner, but the volume allowed for conversation (or, in my case, reading my Kindle) without shouting or headaches. I had a mushroom Swiss burger with cajun fries at lunch, and French onion soup and a grilled shrimp salad for dinner. Another reason I returned for dinner is that I saw a non-alcoholic beer (from Sam Adams) on the menu, and I feel like every time I buy one I am casting a vote for an alternative to alcohol. The prices are not cheap, but since it's my first day in downtown Pittsburgh, I don't know how they compare. But my food was certainly better than standard bar fare. read more

So I preface this with I'd actually give SoHo 5 stars for friendly bartenders, nice menu selection, large portions and surprisingly good food-given it's in a hotel. The place is convenient to PNC Park and North Shore hotels and nicely decorated with a large bar. We also had a sweet, friendly server on our first night dining there. Unfortunately we had a very indifferent and visibly annoyed server the following day at lunch. We were in town for The Rolling Stones show at Heinz Field and many fans were booked at the Springhill Suites and this restaurant is located on the ground floor. So, we actually patronized it all THREE days. On our second day we had a party of 12 and a few of us arrived at 11am and had delicious Bloody Mary's at the bar. The bartender was friendly and made great drinks. We then asked if we could get a table for 12, there was NO ONE in the restaurant for lunch yet, but our male server copped an attitude the very minute I asked if we could divide the table into 4, 4 & 4- hence 3 checks. He said no and you didn't call to make a reservation in advance. He was clearly pissed off that his first table of the morning was a large party. But like I said he had no other tables except for ours. He begrudgingly took our orders and was surly the entire time he waited on our table. He was getting a 20% tip from the tab he refused to divide so not sure what his problem was as the bill was over $300, but it put a damper on our meal. So much so that the next day when we saw he was working we stayed in the bar so the bartender was our server and he was great and the male server just stood around with no tables. Served him right. Anyway, my food was very good all 3 days. I had a chicken quesadilla night one, a Buffalo chicken wrap and tots on day two and a burrito & spicy fries on day three. No one had complaints about the food. The bloody Mary's were excellent and they gave us extra olives that we requested each time. The pomegranate martini was also fabulous. So I'd stop here if you're staying in the hotel or on the North Shore in need of a drink or bite to eat. Just avoid the lunchtime male server. read more

Recommended to us by the hotel across the street where we were staying. So glad we did. No wait for a table, very accommodating to our family as we were seated away from the bar near the back with a view of the outdoors. Our dinners were amazing! Everything was delicious, served hot! There was something on the menu for all of us which included 4 adults and 2 children. Once the 2-year-old was finished eating, wanted to get down and move around. Since the restaurant was not crowded, he was able to do that. Our server was very friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. He saw to our every need and did it willingly. His service was ABOVE BOARD! We were so glad we chose to dine there!!!! read more

Walk in, fairly empty. Only to be told there is a45 min wait. I'm like ....okkkk it's only me and I just want a seat at the bar (and I looked, over 10 seats available) and again I was told a 45 min wait to sit. I'm sorry what?
