Came in to get a bump on my leg looked at. Right before my visit, the administrator asked me if I was paying cash or card. She told me my insurance covers it, but there's a separate fee the business charges. I asked how much it is, but she said they can't tell me until the visit. Since there was no clarity here and I've never had to pay for these types of visits at other places, I decided to walk out and find another place. This urgent care did not only miss diagnosis my sickness as allergies, but when the insurance check was paid back they added a jr to the check so it would bounce. I have never added a jr to my name and never will. Do not come here for any medical reason. There are plenty of better urgent cares around Fort Worth and I will never come back here. I needed to get a covid test after being in close contact so I made an appointment here online and it was really easy to do. They called me back 10 mins before my appointment time which was awesome cause like anyone else I just wanted to get it over with asap, the receptionist and nurse were very friendly as well. I got a rapid test which only takes 15 minutes for my results! I was seen by Dr. Garner and I really liked her, she was very thorough asking a lot questions to give me the best care possible, she detected an early ear infection and I didn't even have a clue there was a problem there. Stay away from this Doc in the Box establishment. Our daughter went to their Lover's Lane facility at 10:40am this morning. As of 7:15pm her medicines have not been called into her pharmacy. We have left four messages. No one answers the phone. We're now taking our daughter to the ER. You'd think a facility named Urgent Care would know how to provide such.... I injured my right knee and the pain was so immense I needed to be seen at the urgent care so I could get pain medication to get me through until Monday. I NEVER visit the doctors office, I don't know much about human medication and what does what. I work and help animals at a veterinary clinic so as far as injuries I know a anti inflammatory is usually done in conjunction with a medication that blocks the brains response to pain. The nurse practitioner or whatever he's supposed to be, Michael S. Puhl was this old greasy very rude from the start guy who barely asked/ said anything when he walked into the exam room. Did not perform any type of range of motion exam on my knee and just lightly touched my knee, then told me I needed radiographs - okay fine. Rads done no fractures seen, then he looks at the rads and tells me it's like a LCL injury? How would you know that by looking at a X-Ray? Lol I know enough to know that requires a MRI, at minimum a CT. I think he took me for a dumb college student or something. But I am certainly not. I informed him I had trouble sleeping because of my pain and my anxiety constantly being in one spot, he kind of chuckled and mocked me stating I'll just need to get through it? I said, well I don't want to just get through it I came for pain meds and I need something to help me sleep. He prescribed a anti inflammatory which I NEEDED, then he prescribed me melantonin? That's ridiculous I can get that OVC and I explained to him that didn't work well for me in the past and before I could say more he basically attacked me and made me feel very uncomfortable and was speaking to me 2 inches from my face which is why I couldn't make eye contact because I have anxiety with strangers and doctors offices. He then REMOVED the anti inflammatory and prescribed only tramadol for pain and diazepam/ambien to help me sleep. Ambien and tramadol should NOT be taken together. That is dangerous. I Merely wanted a neuro pain blocker and a anti inflammatory combo with something to help me sleep. I feel I wasted my money here and only left feeling worse. This nurse practitioner should be fired and made me feel very uncomfortable and anxious. I was just inquiring about additional pain support to help me. I don't know about medications but I know enough to know a anti-inflammatory is not enough on it's own for extreme pain, and it felt this place took my pain as a joke. I got my medical report back and he FALSIFIED what happened. And yes he did rush through my care and I didn't get the care I deserved at this facility. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE IF YOU CAN HELP IT!! To top it all off they did not even fit my knee brace on correctly and it is constantly slipping down my leg. It's the type of brace that has to be professionally adjusted to fit properly. I did not reject the anti-inflammatory as he falsely stated, I merely asked him for something paired with that to get the full coverage for my pain. I can get a quick steroid shot and prescription to knock out the 7 dire devil dwarves that accompany respiratory infections and drastic weather (sniffly sneezy coughy achy grumbly hacky and whiny ). Went here today and the doctor was extremely unhelpful. He almost seemed skeptical at my pain (i have kidney stones). He had terrible bedside manners and pretty much got rid of me as soon as he could. I literally paid $130 for them to not help at all and send me somewhere else. Also, i was told that they would call me back after receiving some tests and guess what- never heard back. I would not go here if i were you. I'm sure that literally any other doctor in the DFW area is kinder and more caring than this place. Nurses and front desk staff were helpful and friendly. I was highly impressed with this place. Last minute stop (as these places sometimes are) Quick to get in, plus the lady was very nice in front office. I was a bit of a mess and she just went along with it Clean environment, water out front and big enough waiting room to relax. I filled out a couple pages and they called me back maybe 5 minutes later. Took normal vitals and used that horrible scale thing (I like to call it a liar) Once in the room nurse asked a couple questions and said she'd be back. Literally 5 maybe 10 mins later and I say maybe, it was quick... a Doctor came in... a few questions and normal Dr stuff they do and he gave me a suggestion and was done. He even said since I was self pay I could choose not to have the lab test done because we were both pretty sure what the problem was. I wasn't there 30 mins tops.... back at work in hour and a half, that includes picking up my prescription, parking and waking up to my office on the other side of DTFW. read more

The doctor I saw was very caring and non-judgmental that I waited way too long to seek medical assistance. Flu/allergy season in this town is no joke. Come here if you need help! I never get sick and woke up with a bad cough. I don't have a primary care doc so I normally go to TotalCare, however this is closer now. Made an appt the night before for 10:30am, arrived about 10:20am, filled out paper work, and was taken back by 10:35am. Considering the space used to be a Chinese buffet they did a great job turning it around. Very clean, not cluttered, quiet, and easy going staff. Staff was easy to talk to, I asked for a shot instead of pills and they did not put up a fight or try to write me 5 different prescriptions. Even joked around a bit which was a nice change. After my shot, and paying for my visit I hoped in my car about 11:15am. Definitely a nice surprise! Definitely make an appt ahead of time, get a quote for services, and check in online! read more

Literally changing my 5 star to a 1. I was double billed by CityDoc and they are literally admitting their machine malfunctioned but yet I am having to dispute the charge via my credit card company. I will never use them again and beware if you do.... check your statements. They will double bill and they will force you to correct their error. read more

I moved to west 7th from out of state last year and did not have a primary doc. CityDoc was walkable so I used them a few times. They were fantastic. Then I got a primary. But always had trouble getting appointments in a reasonable time. Now I've got a new primary and I live south of Fort Worth. Yet I take a LYFT to city doc. They are super. I was told by Citydoc that they had verified that they were in network for my Aetna health insurance, and Aetna was prominently listed as being accepted on their web page. After incurring over $700 in costs it turned out that they were out of network. After I confirmed with Aetna that Citydoc had never called to confirm that they were in network, I called and sent a number of letters to Citydoc to start a dialog on getting some money back. Citydoc ignored all attempts to contact them, including attempts by our local TV station NBC Responds. Avoid them and use one of the many other urgent care facilities. read more

Horrible, Horrible, Horrible experience today. I booked an appointment for a tele appointment today for my husband who is having stomach issues. I really did not have high expectations of the service he would receive from them in the first place but it's a Sunday and options are limited plus he travels for work. We get a call at the appointment time telling us that they only have 1 doctor working today who is doing both tele appointments and office visits and they need him to come in to the office instead. What?? The heck? I was like why? First the lady who calls tells us it's because there is only one provider doing both visits then she says it's because of his chief complaint. Make up your mind!!! (I'm a nurse) So you mean to tell me that you can see people sick with sinus infections and cold like symptoms over the phone but not potentially a stomach bug. No! It's that you guys wanted to make it difficult for us and we would have to cancel the appointment all together! I'm not dumb! They got him in and out within 20 minutes, rushed everything all because they wanted to go home. That's shitty service. My husband and I live part time in Fort Worth, and our primary docs are near our other home. So when I began to have aches, fever, and other symptoms associated with assorted maladies, our primary docs suggested we find a clinic to do some evaluation. I was a straight walk in with no appointment (and no expectations really). The entire team was pleasant, efficient and I was seen quickly. The diagnosis was flu, I got the needed prescriptions, and was in and out in 45 minutes. Several staff members apparently have worked in emergency rooms and prefer a calmer setting, so you're seen by people with high level medical training. I would highly recommend them. read more

Went in for my mothers minor shoulder injury, not only did they not help AT ALL they told me to go to the ER and could not even tell me where the closest one is at! The for all that waste of time they charge us $35 for us to be in there for 10 minutes and offer no help at all!!
