Went in due to having an issue with an eye, ended up misdiagnosing me. They then kept charging me $60 even after I made the payment, told me it was an error and blamed it on "moving to another payment system", still contacted me after 4 months later saying I didn't pay the $60 even though I did it over the phone with them! Very clueless people! At least they keep their lobby clean and neatly organized, creating an illusion to their customers that they pretend to care, they get one star for that! The care quality could use improvement. I get that when I came it was pretty late but and they probably wanted to go home but, I was told by my nurse (?) that I had scabies. I searched it up and it didn't even look close to scabies, not even when it would start forming. It turned out, I had stress hives which, mind you, doesn't look like scabies at all. Went in for a sore throat. Told me i had mono in the middle of the bathroom line, from someone who was not my doctor. They did not seem to help me or tell me what i could do to treat it at all. Next day i went to a new doctor who did a blood screen and i didn't even have mono! read more

I love University Urgent Care! I love how easy it is to check in online and make an appointment. My wait time in the waiting room has always been under 10 minutes. The NP is great! I am in and out in under 40 minutes and always leaving with care and help that I need. read more

Excellent staff at this urgent care clinic by TCU. Needed a Covid Test, walked in without an appointment and while there was a wait, they communicated well about the timing and moved things along as quickly as possible while still giving proper care. The test proved negative - Yeah! - but with a fever and my other symptoms they offered to also conduct a flu test, which I agreed to. That was negative as well but I appreciated the extra effort and their interest in getting an answer to my condition. Great people, hope to not be back soon but will come again if I have urgent care needs. Thanks all! Also - accepted my United Healthcare insurance and now that I've been once I'm in their system for easier check in next time...convenient. read more

I have been seen at University Urgent Care several times and the care has always been good. On 4/12/2025, I had an experience that was very disappointing. I took my 3 year old daughter to be seen for a very quick evaluation for a common child virus. She just started showing symptoms and we just needed a quick evaluation and prescription sent in. Well, per their website and google, on Saturdays they are open until 8pm. We arrived at 7:31pm, my baby girl had her little giraffe in hand and we were told that they stop taking patients at 7:30pm. I am very displeased that we could not be seen for arriving one minute later than cut off time at 7:30pm, with an empty waiting room. To add to my disappointment, I feel misled as the close time on Saturday reflected online being 8pm does not match up to the cut off time in person at 7:30pm. I have recommended this urgent care to several family members, friends and neighbors. Unfortunately, the heartless response by the lady I spoke with 'yeah the provider says she sees her last patient at 7:30pm but you can try cooks urgent care or there is another place close by' and lack of compassion from the healthcare provider does not sit well. Office hours should absolutely be updated from 8pm to 7:30pm if that is the case. read more

Short with answering our questions and cuts me off when I talk. Obnoxious attitude. Apparently customer service isn't his strong suit. Waited 2.5 hours for a finger laceration and pretty bad pain. Told us they had appointments they had to take care of first but it wouldn't be long... we should have just gone elsewhere. Doctors didn't seem like they knew what was going on and didn't quite take us seriously. I made an appointment to get a rapid covid test. My appointment was scheduled for 3:30 and I arrived 10 minutes early. I was waiting in the wait room for 30 minutes before being escorted to a room where I was not helped until 4:45. This was absolutely ridiculous considering I scheduled an appointment, and simply needed a nasal swab. I cannot speak on other appointments, but I would not recommend coming here for help since I made an appointment and was handled after walk ins. The front desk staff was nice and helpful, service once you were in the back, not so great. read more

If you're a TCU student, don't go here. An "urgent care" shouldn't take more than 1.5 hrs to see a patient. I came here because my condition is an emergency, but apparently it's not so "urgent" to the people here or else they would have more staff instead of one doctor. The doctor herself wasn't very friendly, either. Go somewhere else, where you are certain you'll be attended quickly, efficiently, and kindly. However, the place was very clean and tidy. I won't be coming back, though, especially since billing is difficult for students. read more

Took my boyfriend here for a COVID test back in January of 2021 as he had been to this location before. We were told that his BCBS was in network, they took the co-pay and he proceeded with the visit. Today we received a bill for $700 with the insurance only paying $68 towards it. $701 for 1 rapid and 1 traditional test. We couldve gone somewhere else for free but chose this place for convenience. Turns out, their contract with BCBS expired in 2020 and we never should have been told that this facility was in-network. Luckiy BCBS is trying to come up with a solution after an hour on the phone, but this was 100% negligence on University Health Care Beware and always double check with your insurance before going to this place! We will no longer be patients here. read more

Went here last week and was shocked at how rude the nurse was to me. Very short and demanding, didn't ask me very many questions and halfway through my explanation I was told it's just allergies (which didn't make sense since it started up North where there aren't any allergens out yet). The doctor told me the same thing, saying that everyone now thinks they're sick with something when it's really just allergies. I voiced my concern saying I'm pretty sure it's not but she was quite dismissive. I finished the steroid they had me take and went to a different urgent care this afternoon and was told I have pneumonia. Won't be going back here again read more

Their billing company is completely inaccessible and I'm left questioning the integrity of this urgent care. Refer to other reviews saying the same thing. I've been to this location before to take Covid tests (with symptoms, but negative results) and never had to pay a penny. When I came here in January to take a Covid test, I received a bill for $140. I tried calling the patient advocates number multiple times but no one is available to take the call -- you can't even reach a live person. The other option was to fill out a patient inquiry form on the billing website, which I did twice. No confirmation email, no response, and no proof because the page refreshes and vanishes after you submit the form. I called the urgent care, but the number is either out of service or just doesn't work. Finally, I called my insurance and they explained that, for some odd reason, the urgent care filed the claim using a "Covid Treatment Code," but it would've been 100% covered had it been filed under a different code. They should have filed it under a Covid testing code or whatever code they used for me previously, regardless of the result. Plus, I never received ANY treatment after the Covid test. So why would they do that?? This makes me question the integrity of this urgent care and the billing company they use. Do not use this facility because you will never speak to a live person again after you are billed a ridiculous amount of money. read more

I have been to my fare share of urgent cares and I love this location and their staff! Granted I arrived right as they opened, but they got me in super fast and were so organized and to the point. The wait time was very short and they accepted my insurance. I found out that you can also set an appointment online through Solv in advance. Staff was very friendly and very helpful. The building is decorated really cute and is very clean. I saw a nurse practitioner and she gave me exactly what i needed to get better and answered all my questions. horrible service! I went here back in March and they submitted the wrong information to my insurance and so I kept receiving bills for my visit. I called them almost every single day and got no answer. I left messages and even went back to this location to speak to the people there and they just gave me another number to contact. i called this next number and was told it was their mistake and they will resubmit a claim but they never did because i have received bills every month since. The people in the office told me they couldn't help me with this problem and advocate support was the only line that could answer my questions and to this day this support service will not return my calls and my insurance and i have had to work endlessly to resolve this situation. 0/10 experience, will not be going back and highly recommend no one else goes unless you have months to spend trying to fix their mistakes. read more

I sent my daughter here since it was close to campus and it's finals week. They diagnosed her with pink eye and it was actually a corneal scratch (later diagnosed by an optometrist)!!
