KK GROOMS BIG DOGS! My baby, Hendricks, just turned 1 and it was time he had his first grooming. I called ahead and talked to KK to ask about a quote for a 50LB dog. She quoted me $65-$85 because she wouldn't know until she saw him. Because it was his first time I asked if it was ok if I stay with him to ease his anxiety and see how he would react to the grooming. She set my appointment first thing in the morning at 7:30 am. KK TRIMED HIS NAILED, EXPRESSED HIS ANAL GLANDS, BATHED, CONDITIONED, BLEW DRY, and gave him a TRIM. My dog is bigger and honesty it a lot of work to get him clean. She was doing this alone until about 8:30 she had 2 more employees come in. There were about 3 more dogs that came in while I was still here. She definitly provides GREAT SERVICE and has the consistent clientele to show for it. It took about 1.5 hours for her to finish and I am so HAPPY with the results. I'm so glad I was able to see the whole process and I feel SAFE leaving my pup with her. She put a blue bow on him when she was done. My total ended up being $75. Oh my goodness! Called on a Saturday morning to see if they could help me with a family member's dog that was staying with us because they had lost power. An Australian Shepherd that needed help so badly. The dog was miserable from all the hair in this heat and even had hair growing out from between all his paw pads. Unfortunately they were booked. BUT, these amazing ladies texted me later in the afternoon to let me know they had gotten a cancellation and could I still bring the dog in. What amazing customer service and how kind of them. We only recently rescued our Sadie Lady from a not so great situation. Her hair was very matted and she probably had not been to the groomers in a long time. We decided to go for a pretty close trim to get rid of the mats. Her hair is definitely shorter on the shorter side but she really turned out SO cute! I found this store on yelp, and I'm definitely sticking to here from now on! The owner of the store is super friendly and nice. I'm always greeted with a smile. She squeezed me in for an appointment today when I called yesterday. I haven't taken Ares for a grooming for some time now, and I vowed not to take him grooming ever again.. but my boyfriend couldn't stand his shedding around our new house. I had no choice but to take him to get his fur trimmed. They did a great job with my brothers Pomeranian, so that's why I decided to come here too. Ares is an American Eskimo ~20lbs, his total cost was a little over $61. It's a pretty average price for a dog his size. He can be VERY noisy because he doesn't like grooming, but the groomer was very understanding. I took him in around 8am and he was ready around 10am, which was so fast!! Booked an appointment here because my usual groomer was booked and this place had such great reviews and was down the street. When I was dropping off, I specifically said I wanted a trim and to cut down about half of the hair. I also said not to cut too much because my pup looks better fluffy, not shaved. My 7month maltipoo puppy has been to the groomers a total of 5 times and always gets excellent feedback after her groom. I also wash her at home in between grooms with no issues. She literally just stands in the tub and let's me do my thing. The total time it took for the groom was only 2 hours, which is amazing because I'm used to 3-4 hours. But to my surprise when I came to pick up, they literally did the opposite of what I asked. She was clearly shaved down and not fluffy whatsoever. My biggest reason for the 1 star review was the awful customer service. When I asked how everything was, they had a nasty look on their face and complained that she was "too loud" and "too needy" and questioned if she's ever been groomed when I've already mentioned it twice to both employees. If my dog who has never had a complaint and is normally very quiet, starts barking at you, it means that you're doing something. Also when I brought my pup into the car after her groom, she was shaking. After her previous grooms, she's always left smiling and hyper. You can't expect me to tip after you shaved my dog when I asked not to and you're negatively talking about my dog with such a bad attitude. I really wanted to like this place because it would've been so convenient for me but overall my experience this morning was so awful. Now I have to deal with my puppy having a bad haircut for thanksgiving. read more

Because I wasn't a monthly customer, she "bumped" me with a lame excuse - even with an appointment. I won't be back. I called to make an appointment for my dog to be groomed. I have a cross between a havanese and a cavalier, she took one look at my dog, who I admit was muddy and unbrushed, and said she couldn't be groomed because she was matted down to the skin. I took a comb a showed her that she wasn't, but she still refused to take her because she was so matted. She told me that I needed to bring her ever month for grooming if I didn't want her to be matted. I took my dog home and combed her out (it took about 30 minutes, she's a non shedding type, so it takes a little time) and brought her back, and they had gone to lunch. I called and she said that she was too busy I'd have to come back tomorrow (even though I'd made an appt). #badbusiness #dogdiscrimination #happydogleftmydogsad update: As you can see from the pictures, I took her home, combed her out in 20 minutes, and was back at your door. she wasn't matted and tangled. She needed to be groomed/combed out which is why I brought her to you. If I could do it in 20-30 min ~ I expect you could too. I have 3 dogs so I don't pay for them to be groomed regularly, I usually do it myself, but wanted her face and feet clipped so she was extra cute - when I do it it looks like a hack job. None the less you told me that you had 2 dogs that needed full body clips that you took in so you didn't have time to do my dog, when I brought her back only 20 minutes after I'd agreed to have her there for her appointment.....it was clear that you didn't want my business. read more

Had been my groomers for years. My dog gets anxious when it rains. He's a chihuahua and can get a little nippy when he's scared. He's never really bit anyone before but he'll act like he will when he's scared. She doesn't groom his face. She gives him a lions mane and shaved his body. I offered to put a muzzle on him so she could feel more comfortable. After driving 45 min she said he was too difficult and she didn't want to do it. I asked her why didn't she say that before I drove all the way over there. She didn't care. She said I was a bad tipper anyway although I was tipping 20% until she raised my price from $50-$60 and I didn't complain about it. I would've been willing to pay more if he was difficult but before I could even offer to she blocked me. Just really bad business. You shouldn't treat your customers like that and obviously I won't be returning. read more

Had a very bad experience at this place. Firstly the groomer didn't even pause to listen to my instructions for the grooming of my dog. She completely rushed us. Then instead of cutting the hair, she literally shaved all of my dog's hair with patches of skin visible all over. My dog looked sick instead of looking groomed. My dog was super uncomfortable after coming back home from the grooming session. So not worth $70 that we were charged. Never coming back to this place. read more

I am updating my review as Ivan no longer owns the shop and it has instead been taken over by a very nice lady named Kan. Kan has groomed my miniature schnauzer several times now and we have been pleased with the results overall. She responds quickly to texts and is great about trying to fit you in. I do miss the shampoo the former owner, Ivan, used to use on the pups, though. He would smell amazing for days after his grooming! However, I really cannot complain. Start this off by saying, I take the care of my dog very seriously. Dogs are the four legged members of our families! My experience at Happy Dog's was great. I called to set up a time to drop off Franky, my long haired dachshund. The owner answered and we came up with a good time the next day. We showed up and made the drop, he had a good kennel to wait in while the previous dogs were finished up. The ladies bathed him and gave him a great trim, as well as clipping his nails. I ran long at my appointment and was about 15 min late picking up Franky. But all was well. Overall, I felt the owners truly love dogs and Franky was a truly happy dog!! Not really happy with the grooming done here. My puppy had beautiful long silky hair and I clearly told them do not shave his hair, just TRIM it down a bit. Well, they shaved his hair. Now I'm afraid my pups hair won't grow back the same. Excuse was he moved too much however I don't understand how he went from super long hair to all shaved, even if he moved. However I didn't like the attitude from this place how she treated me at the beginning , there was no no greetings, but we didn't wait that long till she talks to me , when I was talking to her trying to tell her what haircut I want for my dog and what style and the length whatever , she wasn't paying much attention to what I am saying , then she kept cutting the other dog hair while I was trying to talk to her instead of listening to me , that was rude but I am the person if you get it done and do well of whatever you doing , I won't hold it against you (in general 'you '), but in the end she finally talked to me like having a normal conversation, then I thought probably she was busy to try to finish that dog's hair cut. I just hope next time when I talk to you or anyone who works there , I can have someone actually listening and trying to understand what I need , at least try , not just saying I don't understand then continue to do whatever you were doing , didn't feel being respected . But she does her job well , in the end she probably relief that she finally got all her job done today , finally smiled and talked without distractions.
