Finding a reliable electrician can be a hard task. I had an outlet circuit that needed to be replaced and contacted Citywide Electric to make an appointment. They were able to accommodate my schedule and their two technicians arrived in time. The price seemed decent ($110 per hour) yet expensive to some for replacing a outlet switch, which only took about 30 minutes. The two technicians completed their work and left within 40 minutes of the arrival , yet I had this feeling that I had to post this review for my fellow yelpers. Why did I rate them such low 2 stars? Because I always put customer service,quality, and professionalism to the top when I'm reviewing the companies. If any company lacks one or two factors, I would usually take off 2 stars for the review. I would've rated 4 stars for Citywide, but their 2 employees lacked professionalism at my house. The two techs (Oscar and another) could have discussed work related suggestions and topics, but instead they were engaging personal topics, non work related topics, gossips, and things like complaining things in their life. I mean.. I understand we are all humans and I'm not trying to judge them or be biased, but you two are working and even though it wasn't my intention to over hear your conversations, these two really shouldn't talk about personal life topics when you are at a CUSTOMER'S HOUSE.. It wasn't like very explicit conversation or cursing, but just try to be professional. Do your job , talk about job related topics since there is a customer next door, and complete the task and leave.. then you guys can talk about anything .. I mean anything you want. I didn't call these guys to over hear their life stories and what they are going to eat and go crash on weekends, and talk about other peoples life. Comon guys! lets try to be professional and do that during your LUNCH TIME! I don't mean to get these two fired since they have bills to pay and they probably never learned how to be professional during work hours. They were very nice an did a great job removing an old ceiling fan and installing a new one. I have a switch go out the night before and they fixed that as well. I then tempered I had a plug that would not hold plugs. They fixed that as well. The invoice was still for less than the estimates two other electricians have for just the fan job. The only reason it's 4 and not a 5 is that they were twenty minutes late and did not let me know. As a new customer, I would expect them to keep me posted. Called On a Friday Morning during our recent heat wave to fix and air conditioner plug in my older Mothers home. They fit us in in a couple of hours to meet my timetable. Wow ! I live 30 miles away. Normally I would have to take time off from work or wait all day for a crew. We wanted to install an On/Off switch next to a dedicated air conditioner outlet to easily turn on & off an air conditioner with a broken switch. The crew arrived to find the outlet was 220 not a 110. Manny and his guys were very respectful, introduced all the crew to myself and Mother. He also kept us abreast of all that was going on and when they had to go get parts, he explained the delay. They even waited outside as a courtesy. They got the new outlet wired to the on/off switch we were after and even cleaned up their trash. So very nice to see. After going through a remodel at my home, all these little things made such a nice difference. Not to mention they were quick and not overpriced and did great work. The appointment was made. They called prior to the appointment time to say they were on their way. Upon arriving they confirmed the work to be done and set out to complete it. I used Citywide Electric to put in a 240v line for my new Tesla Model 3. The Citywide team of electricians installed the line and connected it to the Tesla wall connector that I had purchased from Tesla. Everything looks and works great, including the stucco that they replaced (they had to break the stucco in order to install the new electrical line). I believe I received a fair price for the job that took about 5 hours to complete. I simply needed to replace a lamp in my breezeway, the very first electrician I called quoted me an outrageous price & so I requested quotes on line from 2 different companies and called an additional 4 companies. Manuel (I think that was his name I'm terrible at remembering) came back out to swap out the transformer with not enough voltage that they previously installed (my mistake not their's) did charge me for labor just the price difference of the new transformer. Again they were both respectful, polite and knowledgeable. They even stuck around while I tried to connect the Ring door bell (the reason for the transformer upgrade) to make sure everything turned out ok and it did. Door bell worked like a charm. Hands down they are my go to electricians from now on. I was so please I got quotes for a few more projects im looking at and not o ly is their customer service GREAT but their prices are competitive. Never delt like they tried to upcharge or swindle me in anyway. And that's coming from a girl who only knows basic electrical things. We had a ceiling fan shortout or something so we couldn't turn it off. We cut the power to the bedrooms and scheduled an electrician from another company to come out and replace the ceiling fan. That electrician had to cancel at the last minute due to illness so I needed to find another electrician on short notice. We do not have air conditioning and it was in the middle of a heatwave. I really wanted it done that day because it was my day off work and we really were desperate to turn the power back on to the bedrooms. It's almost impossible to sleep during a heatwave without even a fan! I started calling electricians near me that I found through the Yelp app. I was having difficulty reaching an electrician much less finding someone able to come out to replace the fan on the same day at short notice. I finally decided to call Citywide Electric even though they had no Yelp reviews as I was desperate. Well, I was very pleased with being able to reach an electrician at Citywide on the first ring and was ecstatic when he said they would be able to come out the same day. Two electricians came out and replaced the faulty ceiling fan within two hours of my call. The fan is perfectly balanced and cools so much better than the old fan. I was so impressed by the quality of their work and their professionalism that I asked for a quote on replacing some old electrical outlets. The quoted price was also very reasonable so I will be calling them back out to replace some outlets and replace another old ceiling fan.
