I would have gave them a zero Do not hire this company to work on your home or business. My experience with them was extremely disappointing. They took over two years to handle a hail storm insurance claim for my house and failed to complete the job properly. They kept telling me they were in contact with my insurance company, but every time I called the insurance myself, I was told CJ had not reached out at all. They were supposed to replace seven windows--two had to be reordered because they initially ordered the wrong sizes. One of the windows had to be replaced again under warranty because they broke it during installation. Even worse, the workers took tools from my garage without permission, claiming they had forgotten theirs. The only reason my garage was open was because the windows were being stored there. Some tools even went missing entirely. They were also supposed to replace my roof, gutters, and a utility door--but after two years, none of that work was ever done. I will never hire this company again. This was the worst experience I've ever had with a contractor. The staff who are supposed to help you are extremely rude and unprofessional. Instead of addressing concerns, they become argumentative when you point out their lack of follow-through. Update to comment It's very sad when the owner can't find a customer's information. Called Dustin of CJR upon recommendation of a friend to join insurance investigator for inspection of hail damage to house and roof, and provide second opinion. Dustin pointed out several small details that investigator would likely have overlooked or ignored that got added to the estimate. Dustin gave me good overview of claims process and CJR's approach to restoration and that they would handle details and billing to ins. co. After several inquires and exchanges of information and submitting HOA specs, I had also received a second quote for comparison. I felt that CJR had the broader coverage for all the repair items. Since we are in a three-unit townhouse under a single roof, I contacted my two neighbors for their opinion. All agreed to go with CJR for their share. CJR secured the permits, ordered the materials and engaged the roofing and other contractors. The timing of repairs extended from 10/23 to 5/24, not for any negligence on CJR's part, but due to long lead time for materials (lots of shingles ordered due to extensive hail damage in area), winter weather, and contractor scheduling. The re-roofing work was done while we were snowbirding in AZ and not in residence. Other work, including gutter replacement, window re-screening, and touch-up painting was completed after our return. All work was professional and with totally satisfactory results. Dustin oversaw all details and kept us informed of progress. There was only one issue. The roofing crew did not remove all the waste materials, and I received a HOA violation for trash in the yard. Dustin took care of the issue immediately upon notification, and my violation was cleared. The insurance settlement was satisfactory. Going through a major restoration is never easy, but CJR made it as stress-free as possible. My neighbors are likewise satisfied. I give a confident recommendation. Looking at some of the other reviews--foul language, bad attitudes showing through--does a disservice to honest company effort. Get the whole picture before making a conclusion. read more

So had a bad storm may 30 the couple days later a guy showed up my house asking me if wanna get my roof done.. his name is Robert .. never so he wrote a work order he never told me that I was contracted .. with the company so no matter what happens I had give everything to them .. the guy Robert harass me and demanded me I had to give the money the insurance company gave me .. I never knew I signed a contract with them till was to late .. I was going to go with a better company with better reviews and cheaper... The guy Robert as was talking shit to my neighbor that I knew all my life telling them I am going to pocket the money from the insurance company.. I was not ok with that .. I fired the guy .. so I called the company and Desiree I feel like gave me other guy .. but what I am trying to say don't go to this company for roofing or gutters.. they don't do good job and they don't clean there mess up either .. the company is not good .. please read and don't get scammed by this company.. read more

Jeff Hinke came out to look at my clients roof. It was in bad shape. Jeff suggested that my seller call their insurance company. Adjuster came out (Jeff even came back and met with the adjuster) and he said my seller needed a new roof and gutters. CJ Restoration does gutters as well and they took care of it for my sellers. One Stop Shop! Jeff jumped on getting quotes etc right away and we got the deal done for my sellers! Great Job Jeff! My wife and I highly recommend this company which have used twice over the past two years. For anyone interested, a detailed account of our experience is included below. We like these people and will certainly use them again. In May 2017 there was a destructive hailstorm that passed through our part of Lakewood. Several companies canvassed the area, and we randomly chose CJ Restoration. There was substantial damage to our roof, gutters, 8x10' storage shed, and the west side of our house. It was a very complicated project. Sergio did the presentation and my wife and I both were impressed with his professionalism and detail-oriented approach to explaining the process to us. They allowed us to order the shed we liked (the company who manufactured the one we had previously no longer does business in the US.) We chose Wayfair since we worked with them previously. As the subcontractor started assembling the shed it became apparent that this was not the one in the online picture we ordered, having only one small window. Wayfair would not take this one back since the original packing was discarded. (CJ Restoration always kept everything neat and organized through the process.) We then ordered another shed, perfect for our needs, which was quickly assembled. I was very disappointed with Wayfair who did not stand behind their mid-advertised product. Wayfair eventually updated their online catalog, and CJ Restoration did not charge us extra for the wrong shed. There were at least 3 sets of subcontractors to do the shed assembly, roof replacement, gutter replacement, and siding repair. The siding, although only on one side of the house, also required an electrician since the main circuit breaker had to be removed and put back. I have nothing but high praise for the way the work was done and the professionalism of the workers we saw. Sergio would always let us know when someone was coming and the work they would be doing. Fast-forward 2 years: We recently sold our house to downsize and the buyers inspection called for a roof repair or replacement. There had been several hailstorms in Lakewood over the past couple of years and the shingles apparently beaten up. However, when the Allstate adjuster came, he told that although the work was done well, the shingles were defective and they could not pay the claim. Panic initially set in, until I remembered Sergio of CJ Restoration who had been so helpful before. He quickly explained the procedure for filing a claim with Tamko the manufacturer. CJ Restoration sent someone to remove the roof sample to send to Tamko. We filed the claim and once Tamko agreed their product was at fault, CJ Restoration replaced the roof, with no extra cost to us. Tamko included a voucher for labor. Don't hesitate to call CJ Restoration if you need home improvement work or repairs done. Every time we spoke with their office or Sergio, who came to our house on numerous occasions, we received a polite and efficient response to our questions. The only money out of our pocket was the deductible from our hailstorm claim in 2017. read more

For a "large company that usually does commercial properties" this company is not professional. They repeatedly failed to communicate when they scheduled sub-contractors, so we never new when they were coming. They also failed to communicate our instructions to the sub-contractors, which meant they had to come back. The owner's son was supposed to be handling our scheduling, after we gave him our checks and agreed on when work would start, we didn't hear from him for a couple weeks. We called and he said, "Oh, I thought you wanted to wait until hail season was over....never mind, that was the people down the street." Trying to get anyone on the phone was nearly impossible. They claimed we didn't give them the right numbers yet we had voicemails from them. Don't use this company! read more

This so called professional contractor has taken 10 months to repair hail damage from June and July on my home in fountain Colorado. Not one time has anything they completed Ben done correct the first time. They hire unskilled labor whose work is completely substandard and has had to be redone each and every time. They DO NOT communicate well with the customer and do not ever show up when they say they will. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy!! They were very quick to collect the money and not worth a dime for the quality of repairs they do. Stay clear of this outfit if you want your damage claim handled in a proper and professional way !! We used CJ Restoration for significant damage from a hail storm. They repaired the roof quickly and arranged all the interior work, including removing the popcorn ceilings. They were unhappy with the subcontractor's work, fired them and hired another sub to redo the job. They did what was expected with in Budget. That I work from home I did not mind some return trips to finish touch ups. They did not allow the paint to completely dry before shutting an outside garage door, so they had to come back and redo the paint and the insulation to the door as the door could not be opened with out tearing the door trim. But they did that at not cost to me. Again as I work from home not an issue. I had multiple PM's on the contract as they have a lot of turn around there as well as contractors. At the end of the day, they may have fallen a bit behind in timeline, but the project was completed and stayed within initial budget. read more

I worked with them over several months and gave this person plenty of opportunity to excel, or just do a decent job. He did neither. My impression of CJ Restoration is very poor - from experience. CJ Restoration repaired my 90+ year-old parents properties, both their primary residence and duplex next door after the significant hail storm on May 8th in the west area of Jefferson County. Both jobs required more than roof and gutters, including paint, siding replacement, light fixtures and fencing. Sergio was our point of contact with CJ Restoration. Sergio handled all the negotiating with our insurance company and subcontractors. This was a very busy time for all roofers and construction companies so patience was required. Our neighbors had used CJ Restoration on their commercial building with great success but didn't use them on their personal residence and regretted spontaneously using another contractor and suggested we call CJ Restoration. We were happy with the results and service we received from CJ Restoration. Our experience was not problem free but Sergio was responsive whenever we had a problem or concern and all issues were addressed satisfactorily, even ones that came to light after all payments had been made and processed. This was very much appreciated and I believe speaks to the integrity of the company. We referred CJ Restoration to another relative and that job went smoothly, too. CJ Restoration was able to get their roof replaced after the insurance company had denied the claim, which several other companies had failed to accomplish. The contractor came and promised to take care of our insurance claim due to hail damage. Showed up for the appointment with the adjuster but did not stay to the end as promised and the reimbursement came way lower than expected. Later called and after learning the amount scheduled to come, resubmit the claim and help with the adjustment. Never showed up, never called. Just a waste of time and delay with repairs. read more

Everyone in the company is a nightmare including the owner Harvey Waters. Once they have your money they WILL be very rude to you. They WILL NOT take your calls, or respond to your emails. They're all very unprofessional. We paid them up front based on nothing but lies they told us. They destroyed our home. Harvey Waters did damages to our home as well. Did not complete one project at a craftsman level in any way, shape, or form. Claimed they did work that was never done. Never provided an itemized invoice, or any product warranties. Then after 3 years Harvey Waters decided to turn us in to a bill collection agency for $3500. When we refused to pay him half of that; he decided we owed him $7000 all of the sudden. We still do not have our itemized bill, or our warranty information. He also has not taken any of our calls, nor does he respond to our emails. Harvey Waters is nothing but a crook! If you don't want this to happen to you then don't ever hire CJ Restoration. read more
