    Penne Ala Vodka
    D'London V.

First thing I noticed was they had a signed that said " If unable to afford a meal they would cover it for you" We ordered the penne vodka with a side Cesar salad (however they gave us a garden salad) still good bc those croutons were just amazing . I think homemade. The penny Baco is well homemade creamy. It does come with chunks of stuff so if you're not a fan of that, then I wouldn't recommend it, but if you are, then I would highly recommend it. You know it comes with the onion the basil, the tomato you know everything extremely good. Now ask for the burger I have a burger with the pastrami on it with the bacon very good however I'm not a fan of the melted cheese on it but that's a preference. The bun highly toasted good could come with some sauce on it so it was missing that and it could come with some condiments on the side. I love the steak fries , small portion, but good and the coleslaw is fresh and good and I believe all the dressing are freshly made in everything.

This is one of their Friday night specials. It was so good yes 2 crab cakes 3 broiled shrimps rice pilaf and vegetables. Allen gave such wonderful service and to the Cook such delicious food. I definitely will be back! Nothing like home cooking and real fresh food.

Food is great and an excellent value for the dollar. Not a fancy diner but good home cooking. I have never been disappointed.

Tonight specifically, I went to dinner with my girlfriend for an early Valentine's Day dinner, and had yet another pleasant experience! I ordered a ribeye steak, it was cooked perfectly, which is something that rarely happens at restaurants. It was also very good, one of the best steaks I've ever had, which is especially impressive for a non-steakhouse! I was overall very impressed tonight that it prompted me to leave a review. Not that I haven't been impressed the other times. Our waiter, Chris, was also exceptional. Very speedy and proficient in the serving process. Very accommodating and constantly asking to help. Went above and beyond to ensure us a good experience. The atmosphere every-time I go is great, I always love the southern-like feel with the country music playing, and the clover leaf to highlight Irish heritage! Would recommend this place to anyone, they always deliver a great experience. Look forward to returning as I always do. They have never disappointed! Of course, nobody is perfect besides Jesus. My only critique is how long it took for us to be seated when we first arrived. This, of course, is a good sign for the restaurant, as they're busy! I'm just nitpicking, but I did get impatient while waiting to be seated. After that, I had yet another tremendous experience as always! I wish I was able to give 4.5 stars, because I don't like to give out 5s as nobody is perfect besides Jesus, however 4 stars is too low! Think of this as a 4.5 star review! Well done to Caffrey's as usual, and waiter Chris!

Waking up to a fresh snowfall is always a gift--made even better after an exceptional New Year's Eve at The Waterfront NJ Restaurant in Lacey, NJ. This year marked our 35th consecutive celebration with our best friends the Fays, a tradition that grows richer every time we gather. The ballroom was beautifully decorated for the holidays, and the band "Slap Happy" delivered an outstanding performance. With the drinks flowing, at one point, we even found ourselves at the microphone, adding our own spirited contribution to the night. While our table was a bit close to the stage--and the volume certainly matched the energy--the music, dancing, and drinks created a vibrant, festive atmosphere. Angolina, our server, was outstanding, helping to elevate the evening from the moment we arrived. Warm, attentive, and effortlessly efficient, she kept the celebration flowing. We began with our first round of drinks, and I made sure to savor my final dirty martini of the year. After three rounds and plenty of laughter, Angolina returned to take our dinner selections. Jeanne Marshall Schrader chose the jumbo shrimp stuffed with crab, finished with a luxurious lobster‑sherry cream, and served with rice and vegetables -- $35. I opted for the Zuppa D'Pesce: a beautifully prepared combination of jumbo shrimp, sea scallops, crab meat, little neck clams, and mussels in a spicy marinara over linguini -- $42. Carolyn Fay and Bob both selected the GF filet -- an 8oz center-cut topped with compound butter, accompanied by creamy mashed potatoes and a side of demi‑glaze -- $42. It was a flawless New Year's Eve--excellent food, exceptional service, lively entertainment, and the best company to welcome another year together.

The waitress handled herself with such grace and kindness after the man continued to give her a hard time. Later, I listened as he requested for her to ask the manager to take off a percentage for him being he was a veteran. After she walked away, they started laughing and the one guy said, you're too much. It was clear that he wasn't being honest. He certainly wasn't a veteran and sadly the couple we were with has a son serving in the military. Unfortunately, this man took advantage of this opportunity and I was upset to see that someone would lie about serving our country. I did compliment the waitress for handling that table with dignity after being treated so poorly. She did say they honored a 10% off discount for him and it wasn't warranted because he lied. Kudos to your wait staff for dealing with rude customers and liars.

You don't want to miss the funky and eclectic offerings and "if you're here you're family" atmosphere. Our first visit was for a late breakfast at about 11am on a rainy Sunday of a holiday weekend, so it wasn't surprising that the was a short wait. When the hostess said 20-30 minutes someone else in line immediately responded "it's worth the wait" and I agree. I had the The Waffle Slamwich "alternating layers of bacon, sausage, pork roll, egg & cheese between Belgian waffles with bourbon butter maple syrup." I ordered has browns because I saw an order come out and they looked really good. They were, but we're also unnecessary. The Slamwich was more than enough and I'm a big eater. My wife had French toast and a side of bacon. The portion was also generous but she ate it all som it must have been good. I forgot to ask because I was so busy enjoying the many flavors of my meal. The sweetness of the waffle and syrup perfectly offsetting the salty breakfast meats. Coffe was good, too, and obviously fresh. And my cup was 'magically' refilled every time I set it down. We're planning a trip back for lunch...but not today...still full. Guy says "if it's funky I'll find it" but do yourself a favor and find Lacy Diner first, before word gets around, or you might not get a seat.
