Not a bad looking logo and very cool inside!

There's not much more American than a dog and a beer but this very cool bottle shop takes it to the next level! We're talking gourmet dogs and an impressive selection of bottles and drafts. These folks might be off the beaten path for some. It's about one minute from the Lansdale exit of 476. For those technology challenged, your GPS might object to the tiny town of Kulpsville. Use Lansdale and you'll be fine. I made the trip up yesterday for an early lunch and discovered that the shop was run by two very personable and knowledgeable sisters. These ladies know their beer! Expect excellent CUSTOMER SERVICE. I love high ABV brews and I was in heaven here. I enjoyed a Pizza Boy Double and an Allagash James Bean both on draft. We're talking 12%-13%. You need to take it easy with these bad boys. My first dog was called the "Cole" for $3.65. It came with slaw and a spicy chipotle ranch dressing. My second dog was a classic chili dog for $3.50. The chili was spot on and they even added a spoon to my order to grasp the spilled deliciousness. Two dogs and two beers made for an outstanding lunch! If this sounds good to you then get off your butt and make the trip. If you are a beer aficionado this should be DESTINATION spot for you.

MEAD. If it's on tap, get it! And then get another hot dog to sop that monstrous glass of sweet goodness up. You're gonna need it with that 14.6%! Such a sweet nook of a spot to grab some great brews and munch on some really fun, inspired and flavorful hot dogs. I hear they have a great ladies' night--I'm aiming to check one out in the coming months. The service was really superb. My friend and I were able to sample a couple of draft beers to decide what we wanted and she was extra patient with my greedy self :) It's small and can get rather tight pretty quickly with a crowd, but the selection is pretty vast and great.

The wife and I had a quick lunch here today. We never expected a place like this to open close to us, but we're glad they did. Some very nice, and interesting, hot dog choices...though the dogs seem to take a back seat to the craft beer selection. It's a new joint, and the girl working the counter really wants to grow the biz...I imagine that soon the food will grow to match the beer. My dog was a nice grilled all-beef dog on a potato roll, with bacon, mac n cheese (kraft, and i'm not sad about that at all), and bbq sauce. The roll was bit too crumbly to handle the dog and stuff toppled out, but that was fixed with a fork ;) Perhaps next time I'll opt for the pretzel roll. It's a simple formula, and a good one. I imagine that with time and some casual experimentation, the place will come into its own. It was mentioned that they might add charcuterie and cheeses to the food options, in my opinion a very good idea. Chips would help, and I don't think they would 'tart' the place up any. In fact, I would think a good olive tray, along with some other pickled goodies would compliment the food and beer selection nicely. The decor was nice. Stools around wooden tables. Again, it was a simple formula that worked well. If you're looking for a quick lunch or dinner, or a place to hang out with a few friends and you live in the area, I recommend. I'm pretty sure it's going to become a staple for my day-off lunchtime.

A tremendous beer selection

They have a solid happy hour menu (one of the few places around that still does half off apps without changing the portions) and weekly specials are great, too. My favorite is their taco Tuesday. $5.00 margs (they make their marg mix in house no pre-made surgery stuff!), $2 tacos, and $12 enchiladas which is a healthy portion and very fresh! My go to for appetizers are their honey way wing bites and the eggplant! As far as entrees go I always rotate between their salads and the short rib melt. Sometimes I wish the melt had just a bit more of the horseradish cheddar (I have asked for extra in the past) but overall it is very flavorful. Their menu does rotate every so often. Many things stay on for a while but if you see something missing, that is why! The owners work extremely hard and are always present. Wait staff is always friendly, too. Give this place a try if you haven't already!

I will answer the questions I had before going, as others probably have the same: Is it family friendly? Yes, there were plenty of kids and even a couple babies on site. Its spacious and open air so there is no crowded feel. On the night we went it wasn't overly loud. My kids are usually picky eaters but they devoured their kid's meals and said it was very good. How's the beer? Very good. Branch brews a decent selection of their own beers and ciders which aren't bad at all. Their Cowpath Roadie Stout is particularly good. They also have guest brews from other local breweries. Its self-pour. You get a card to scan at each tap pour whatever you like. This allows you to control portions for samples and try a wider variety The Food? Its pretty good. Their menu isn't as robust as others but it has some good options. The focus on flatbreads. They say their "Goat" is the best, and they are not wrong. Its very good Sports? They have several large TVs and had the Phillies playoffs on. The crowd was very into the game, making for a fun experience. Bathrooms are very clean, single use. Definitely check this place out and don't be afraid to bring kids or a group.

The outdoor area is very cool especially if you can snag a spot by the fire pits. The thing here…read moreis that there's a wall or taps with beer, cider, and margaritas and it's all self serve and pay by the ounce. The system they have is a bit confusing. No cash is accepted, so you need to register with a credit card and your name to get a drink card which they link to your credit card. You then use the drink card to tap a strip on the wall above the tap you select for self service and then you pour. The screen above the tap will tell you how much you've spent and the cost of each pour. To order food you have to scan a QR code at your table and then enter the last 4 digits of your credit card so they can identify who you are. When you are done you drop the drink card into a box and you receive a text message with a link to your bill. I found it too complicated and didn't really love the beer selection. The food was not very good either. I guess it's a nice spot to bring a group and sit outside and their website states that outside food is allowed so that is another option.
