When we were seated, we were given the prix fixe food menu but never provided with a drink menu. We were served water, but our waitress didn't ask if we'd like cocktails, wine, or any featured Valentine's drinks. For a special occasion dinner, that felt like a major oversight. The bigger issue, though, was the food. Several courses were noticeably undercooked and difficult to enjoy. The carrot salad had hard, undercooked carrots and a very bitter sauce that overwhelmed the dish. The grilled Badger Flame beets were also undercooked and had an unpleasant flavor. The beet risotto was firm and lacked the creamy consistency you expect from a properly prepared risotto. The halibut tasted overly fishy and seemed undercooked in the center. For $75 per person on Valentine's Day, we expected a polished, thoughtfully executed experience. Instead, the meal felt poorly prepared and not worth the price. It was an unsatisfying way to spend what should have been a special evening. The ambiance was very nice but the rest of the experience left a lot to be desired.

We grabbed food from one of the vendors (note that most of the food stalls close around 9:00 PM) and then settled in at the bar to watch a game. The bar stayed open until after 11:00 PM, allowing us to enjoy the entire game. The bar offers a cocktail menu as well as a curated selection of Pennsylvania craft beers. I tried the Stable 12 Fresh Picked Strawberry Lime sour beer ($7.50 for a 13 oz. pour). It was flavorful, slightly sweet, and a nice change from the usual beer options. The bartenders were attentive, friendly, and helpful throughout the evening. The space itself is very large, clean, open, and modern, with what appears to be a beautifully renovated warehouse-style design. The black-and-white color palette, exposed metal elements, and high ceilings create a contemporary industrial atmosphere that feels both inviting and spacious. Whether you're stopping by for drinks, catching a game, or pairing your beverage with food from one of the market vendors, 1888 Bar is a great addition to Southern Market.

Our most recent experience on 6/27 did not disappoint in any way and elevated our satisfaction. Megan C. was our server and she was dynamic as always. She takes time to listen, is attentive and knowledgeable. Other team members/supervisors were also friendly and were genuinely interested in feedback. For a restaurant to excel in all areas is rare. Harvest Seasonal Grill is one of the finest, and finer than some "fine dining" establishments. We enjoyed the Raspberry Yuzu Martini which was perfectly balanced. The sweet corn chowder will forever be remembered as being so delicious that we were glad we did not opt out of that since we knew we also wanted the Korean BBQ Pork Dumplings. Those were delicious with a zing of spice to keep it interesting but not be overbearing. My husband was very pleased with his Spicy Shrimp Noodle Bowl. He needed a bit more oomph and was brought siracha to please his palate. My Summer Beet Salad with added salmon was perfect, truly. The vinaigrette was light and refreshing but with lots of flavor. The peaches and beets were both fresh for the season. And a big delicious yes to the peanut butter chocolate dessert mini. It was the right size for us to share but selfishly we wanted more because the peanut butter mousse was whipped to perfection. The only bad thing for us is that the closest Harvest is about 30 minutes away in Lancaster. York desperately needs a Harvest for the consistent quality, seasonal flavors and overall high rating

Isaiah, your generosity and hospitality made the night memorable, along with your knowledge and expertise... The "My Chareau-da" (clever) was perfection. And to end the meal with the absolutely perfect sip, Dopo Teatro Vermouth Amaro, made it an extra special ending to our anniversary dinner. Chef and team: How could I forget to mention the food?! The Burrata small plate got us started (so good... we wanted to lick the pesto right off the plate), followed by The Luca Chicken (tasty, though you have to work a bit to get every bit of juicy meat off the bone) and Hanger Steak (medium rare, thank you... perfect), followed by an affogato (so smooth) and the delicious dessert you see in the photo (can't remember what it was called, but they boasted about the Lancaster strawberries). Great from start to finish! Worth noting: We felt GREAT afterward and the next day, a true test of good, real food. No bloating, etc. Last note: It can get loud, but it wasn't over the top. This is the sign of people having a good time!

I thought it was a 3 star dish because it was tough with some of the extra bones. The second time I went with the pasta TAGLIATELLE BOLOGNESE hand cut tagliatelle, classic ragù bolognese, grana padano cheese. For sure a 5 star dish. Both times they had a good wine list to choose from. Service was prompt and friendly that made the experience more enjoyable. Luca is definitely a place to visit and I would come back again.

If you're thinking you'll be trying PA wines, that is not the case. If you're wanting a change from PA wines, this is a great opportunity! 2) This is a wine tasting place in a strip mall. From the outside it's extremely unassuming... but it's well labeled, so you can be confident you're in the right place. The inside looks as you'd like: spacious, clean, room to relax. As I was sitting inside, casually doing a tasting, I completely forgot we were in a strip mall. Well-done! An added bonus of the location: there are a LOT of good food choices nearby! The prices. Yowza! I did like some of the wines, but not enough to pay for the bottle (~$40). But I enjoyed a tasting ($10 for 4 tastings) and also ordered an extra glass of wine. They have 2 fixed tasting menus to choose from. I asked to switch out one of the wines for a different one, and that wasn't a problem at all. The customer service was nice. The woman was friendly and attentive, and not obtrusive or pushy. She was there when I wanted her, but was also content to let me sit, relax, and enjoy the wine. I love the ambience. There are a lot of tables and chairs, placed nicely around so you can enjoy your own space or have a nice drink with friends without being on top of each other. A wine bar of sorts. It is nicely decorated - feels warm and welcoming.

It's in a strip mall, but is quite large and nice inside with artwork and wine themed displays. It just seems like they are incredibly overwhelmed when we come in. I don't know if they need more staff or what. I'm going to focus more on the most recent visit. I called to make reservations (you are supposed to) and the woman who was working seemed shocked that I wanted to make same day reservations. However, she agreed. We went in and there was some sort of loud group in one of the rooms. At first she seemed very attentive to us. However, the amount of wine poured for the tastings this time was so small and that was shocking. When you get the local flavor deal, apparently you are supposed to get bigger pours (this is what she ended up telling us and what we've been told before) You also get goat cheese, crackers, etc. which are quite nice. Also, really, their wine isn't great. It's more for the experience it took us this many times to really realize it. Anyways, after the first second tasting, our server vanished for about 20ish minutes. She finally came back to give us our 3rd tasting (you get 4) and that was it for at least another 20ish minutes. All in all we spent about an hour and a half and that was because of all the wait times. Another couple came in and sat at the bar who didn't have the deal; it was obvious they were worth the attention more than us local flavor people. I really advise them to stop doing this deal. They get overwhelmed easily and I ended up feeling like I was hounding them to serve us. I wanted a glass of wine (an actual glass at the end) and my wife had to go up to the woman to ask for one for me. It was over 13.00. Not worth it... I'd rather go get a nice cocktail some place for that price. Inevitably, The local flavor deal is not even that great of a deal, particularly when you feel like you are being put on the back burner in favor of other customers. We won't be going back.

The murder mystery itself was the highlight, the storyline was engaging, and the actors were clearly well-trained in improv and very kind. Murder Mystery: 8/10 The room was fairly standard, what you'd expect in an old-timey house. No TV or modern extras, but there were plenty of charging outlets, which was appreciated. Room: 7/10 The food during the stay was incredibly disappointing. Most of it felt like reheated microwave meals. Breakfast included eggs, bacon (very thin, broken pieces), cubed potatoes that were oddly watery, ham slices, stale danishes, cereal cups, and a parfait option that had run out by our 9am time slot. Dinner was similar in quality. I chose the cheese ravioli, but despite being second in line, it was cold. The same watery potatoes from breakfast were served again, along with green beans. The only highlight was the coffee, which was good. Food: 2/10 Unfortunately, the parking situation is very poor. There are only 5-6 spots directly outside and a few more up the hill behind the carriage house. I was dropped off at check-in and informed staff that my boyfriend would be arriving late. I was assured there would be parking available and that staff would be present 24/7 to assist him. However, I woke up to a call from him saying he couldn't find parking. I went downstairs to get help, but no staff could be found. Not wanting to disturb other guests, I eventually gave up, and he had to park on the street in the neighborhood on top of the hill overnight. At breakfast, we were briefly told about additional parking behind the carriage house, but there was no apology or acknowledgment of the issue from the night before, nor any attempt to make it right. Parking: 1/10 The staff overall seemed inexperienced and, at times, unprofessional. While I empathize with younger staff members, there were several uncomfortable moments--such as hearing an employee joke about "killing" another staff member over a small mistake, and staff walking away mid-conversation while we were trying to ask follow-up questions. Staff: 4/10 Overall, there were some enjoyable elements, especially the murder mystery, but the experience didn't quite match the price point. With a few key improvements, this could be a much more worthwhile stay.
