The epitome of a dive bar, without question. People watching was an A+++. I saw all different types in there, from bikers, to nerds, to trashy people with homemade tattoos. This place had the gamut. We came here on a Saturday. It's in a small strip mall and when you walk inside , you see a couple of security guys (with earpieces, btw. Really? It's a dive bar, not the White House) and the overwhelming smell of smoke just slams your nasal passages. Right away you see a room full of drunk people. Some trying to do karaoke, some trying to dance. It was pretty entertaining. About 30 minutes after we got there, the roar of Harley's filled the air. No kidding, about 20-30 bikes pulled up and their leather vest-cladded riders came inside. They pretty much kept to themselves and didn't start any trouble, but one guy had a swastika patch on his vest. Oy vey. Can you say ex con scumbag? Drinks were surprisingly expensive given the fact it's a dive bar. Averaged about $4 per beer. It was packed too. Like really packed, but I was served quickly, so I was happy about that. I even did karaoke. In front of bikers. So I can cross that off my bucket list. All in all, I had a great time and will definitely be back. Let's hope the smoke air cleaner thingy is operational this time. read more

This is a definitely a locals bar . They are a smoking bar . If you are looking for something fancy this is not it . Friday and Saturday nights they have a Djs and it is a different crowd than during the week . It will be busy on those days. The weekend they are playing more hip hop /spanish music . Walking I to this place be prepared to smell like cigarettes for the night! Other then the smoke this bar has pool tables, electronic dj and multiple dart boards! The drinks were not mixed properly because I received one on the heavy side and then one on the light side. Other then that this dive bar had an assortment of people and felt welcoming. The bar staff are the most rude inconsiderate people I ever met. I am well tipped and well diverse. I am friendly and just went there for drinks. Takes like 15 minutes to get a drink and when they respond they act like they're bending over backwards for you. I will never return based on this experience. Went to CJ's today for the 1st time for their Crawfish boil. $15 for a ticket. Bar was pretty nice I liked it. The music was to loud. It was hard to hear each other. Bars need to remember people come to them for a social atmosphere, not just to listen to music. The crawfish weren't that hot and seemed to be lacking in some flavor. I got one batch just to try it and it seemed like it was only about a pound. I said something to the ticket lady and she made sure we got more. Everyone was super nice. I've been going to CJ's since it was called Captain Jack's, and then later, Jimmy D's . It's a friendly neighborhood place that you can't easily pigeon hole as any one type of bar . There are motorcycles out front, but not enough to call it a biker bar. They have a nice selection of hard liquor, including all three flavors of Ketel One, if you don't mind drinking it out of plastic cups :-) There are guys in cowboy hats , but the Lady Gaga coming from the jukebox keeps it from being a country bar (by the way, they have a Touch Tunes jukebox, so you can play pretty much whatever you want from your seat). They don't serve food, but the place next door will let you order and bring it to you in CJ's. They have karaoke on the weekend, pool tables and darts. One warning, if you go during a busy time, you will come out smelling like an ashtray, so be prepared. read more

Once in a while, I really just enjoy a laid back dive.... This was definitely that. I was getting my hair done next door and my ride was tardy, so I decided to have a cocktail next door. I am a non smoker, but this establishment is smoker friendly (not a hater) which I did notice right a way. That is the only reason I give this place 3 stars. Otherwise, I really enjoyed my bartender and loved the warm crowd of this place. They also have a pretty good juke box, dart boards, and other sports themed games... Not a great place. Prices were raised, turning the place from someplace to get reasonably knackered to being a bit high for what you get. It's possible that the extra charges are being paid to the combatants. Combatants? Why yes, there have been fights here every single night I've been here over the last couple years. Some certainly colorful patrons here. One guy with missing fingers and B.O. that could blow Mike Ditka's hair curly. Giant Irish women. Obese people giving lapdances to poor men on their birthdays. As soon as I entered the parking lot I could tell it was a dive bar, considering I don't like people, that's what I look for. Upon entering the place my first impression was correct... DIVE!!!! But the bartender, didn't get his name but tall red neck looking guy, was right on top of his shit! Constantly right there as soon as needed, hats off to you dude. Prices were very reasonable.
