Wow!!! What a waste of cash and time. If your going to charge $6.50 an hour during the day, and round up significantly over calculator time on table please at least have some tables that roll strait. Not really worth it overpriced tables and a staff that apparently ignores you unless your at the bar (Its gotta be a tough gig with those 6 people at the bar to ignore the rest of the establishment) Overall not worth spending the cash here unless you like dirty unkept 9' tables and lackadaisical staff. Side note if you want table 11 just be ready for "the entitled class" that play laughable 1 pocket at best to except the table. Threatening patrons? At a bar? ..If you're a bartender you need to understand that sometimes you'll have to deal with intoxicated guests. Second time at this bar. This time was to play some billiards and we totally regret spending a dime here! You can tell when the bar tender is catering to her friends vs the patrons paying for music on Touch Tunes and pool and drinks. The bar had 4 people seated and there were 6 people playing pool... bar tender straight up told us the bar patrons outnumber the players with some fuzzy math and turned the paid for music down so the TVs could be heard. The name says it all, BILLIARDS & LOUNGE. Don't go expecting anything else. The staff here is wonderful, friendly, fast and attentive. They have several dartboards, quite a few billiard tables, some virtual bar games and a touchtunes jukebox. The food served here is fantastic and the drinks from Sonya are the absolute best! there are a few tables and quite a bit of bar space. Drink specials change and they host leagues. Gotta love a place that will treat the birthday girl right. After one almost-petrifying exposure to the crab herp, we were ready to move on for some sterilization. And my sterilization, I mean more drinks and a juke box! Our waiter at Barnacle's directed my rowdy party of three over here to continue our friend's birthday party, and we had a blast. We didn't care about pool, we just wanted a juke box. Juke box? You betcha. Granted, we got booed for certain music choices, but I can't help it if drinking birthday shots makes me want to listen to Beyonce. I'm just going to start off by saying, I'm not a huge fan of pool. This place must be very nice if that's all you and your friends do but unless you can play pool or darts ad nauseum there's not much else to do here. The night that I went it was obvious the bartender was feeling stressed. I gave her the benefit of the doubt until she passed me over a few times and took other people's drink orders who had arrived at the bar after me. I signaled to her and all she had to say was "I see you," very sassy. Needless to say I walked away at that point, resigned to give them none of my money. Best pool hall in the Brandon area! If you're looking for good food at a great price and awesome drink specials as well as full size 9 foot pool tables the actually have good felt on them then you've gone to the right place. The food is hot and the bar staff is very attentive and super nice, they treat you like and old friend the second you walk in.the drinks are extremely budget friendly as well. It is a non-smoking facility which is awesome. They have a touchtunes machine that you can actually use from an app instead of walking and standing forever picking songs. This place serves food and has a large number of pool tables. Smoking inside the place is not allowed, but it smells like stale cigarette smoke! It's bad. Couldn't quite figure out how that happened when our group arrived because no one was smoking inside. But after staying a while, it wasn't hard to figure out. The entire time we were there the entrance door was left open. Everyone who went outside to smoke, including the employees, ALL smoked right outside the door. I'm allergic to cigarette smoke, so nowhere inside the place was clear of smoke since people smoked all night. Unfortunately, we couldn't stay as long as we would have liked since I was uncomfortable the entire time. I really wanted to enjoy myself, but I couldn't. If you're a smoke-free environment, then you'd better damn well make sure you really are!!! I'll never go here again. read more

Went one Saturday night. Found an empty table and played about 5 games with my husband. Great date night activity. Bartender was very friendly, drinks reasonably priced. Because food is served in there, smoking has to be done outside, which is nice for those with lung issues. Next time, we're just coming here instead of going out to dinner first. read more

Nice-size billiards place in a highly commercialized area. The staff was extremely friendly and catered to all of our alcoholic needs. Everything from tables, darts, and drinks were very cost effective. I haven't tried the food; but, the grill gave off an amazingly tantalizing aroma. The only reason why I did not rate Baluka Billiards 5-stars is because there wasn't any background music when the jukebox was not in use. I understand that this is to encourage the use of the jukebox; however, without background music, the place felt a bit too quiet, which made it awkward. Baluka Sucks Went there to meet 5 friends. I had a regular tank-top on. Got told to leave. Fine, except this is a piece of crap pool hall not a night club. Worse yet, apparently women can wear spaghetti strap tanks but guys have to wear sleeved shirts. I don't know if anyone told these idiots but this is Florida in the middle of summer and this is just a regular pool hall and not even a real nice one. At any rate, me and my five friends went somewhere else and spent our $150 and since we do this once or twice a month the owner/manager lost out on some revenue as well as a lot of goodwill. I'm telling everyone I know about this shitty experience and put it in my blog as well. Furthermore, I left a message on the owner's/business' voicemail so it could be explained to me why they have this policy and the worthless slobs did not even have the courtesy to call me back. Finally, the server at the bar was fairly superficial as well and had NO clue why the establishment has such a stupid policy--she even said it was stupid! What a shit hole! read more

Went there last weekend with a group of 8 and the place was filthy, pool tables weren't brushed. The ladies went to to restroom and came back saying how filthy they where. I ordered a draft beer and the glass came to me with lipstick all over it. Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more

The drinks are good but the staff is very confrontational. I get being a bartender can be stressful but acting like were inconveniencing you when we order drinks, or staring us down over a miscommunication about splitting the bill made us very uncomfortable. The weekday staff is great and the pool tables are nice but whoever was working last night just seemed to hate the place and everyone in it. In my experience, bartenders at this establishment were always very friendly. I was a former employee at Buffalo Wild Wings across the street, and Balukas was the BWW staffs nightly go-to for drinks after our shifts, thanks to their hospitality discounts and amazing atmosphere.
