Bought my tires there a few months ago. Slow leak in one of the tires. I have them look at it. 'can't find anything wrong with it' but tell me they can sell me a new tire. No written description as to what they did to check the tire. When it went into the shop it was 3 lbs under pressure, when it came out it was 3 lbs under pressure. While traveling through Exton, PA on our way to vacation, a plastic piece in the front passenger side wheel well came unfastened and was loudly rubbing against the tire. We stopped at CJ's to see if they could quickly help us get back on the road. The plastic piece was torn up pretty bad. The operations manager, Natasha, was so friendly and assured us that she and her technician would do what they could to at least get us back on the road. Within an hour we were. The associate, Tiamarie, was also very friendly and helped my young children setup an XBox so they could play a few games while we waited. Oh, and they didn't even charge us! I would leave zero stars if I could. This review is for the CJ's location on Eagleview Boulevard in Lionville, Pa. My daughter took her car there for an overdue inspection instead of going to our regular place. She was told she needed a new suspension, and that all of the shocks were leaking and she needed rear brakes. This was going to cost $5500.! This occurred last Friday, August 18 and they told her the car would not be ready until the following Thursday the 24th! I told them not to do anything and we picked up the car and took it to our regular mechanic which is Countryside Automotive on 113 and Bell Tavern Road. It turns out that it only needed rear brakes to pass inspection. None of the shocks were leaking. I would highly recommend AVOIDING this particular CJ's location!!! read more

STAY CLEAR -DO NOT USE! My daughter took her car in for inspection and smog... They told her she needed muffler work to pass... quoted her $600.00. I told her that seemed a bit pricey... let's check with another inspection site... We took it to another certified inspection and repair facility and they performed repairs for $329.00. My daughter took the car back to CJ's for stickers and they then required an additional $99.00 for her to pass the safety inspection because one of her foglamps was out. Not to replace it but to just remove them... This was our second poor experience with them, My wife's experience was similar... Upselling, requiring repairs not necessary, strong arm tactics regarding how they treat women... This is so stereotypical it should be funny, but it's not... I would suggest anyone that needs tires, service or an inspection go elsewhere. STAY CLEAR -DO NOT USE! read more

Got an oil change at this location. Returned for my next oil change at the same location. Was then advised my oil drain plug was stripped from the last service (was not advised of this at the time). They attempted to hammer on a socket to remove the plug, which was unsuccessful. I returned a week later and the plug was replaced, and the pan rethreaded. I was told the issue was resolved and I was good to go. Over the course of the next week I noticed an oil drip and took the vehicle to another shop for diagnosis. They informed me that CJs not only dented the oil pan when installing the new plug, but cracked the oil pan as well. The oil pan had to be replaced at a dealership and CJs did end up covering those costs. That said, there was no sense of apology, concern for the issue, and generally not interested in getting the issue resolved. Unprofessional service, I recommend avoiding for even basic services. read more

So its been over a month since I posted about CJ's in Lionville and how they tried to rip me off big time $2400 repair vs $250 actual cost. April from CJ's posted she wanted more info so she could work to regain my business. Well guess what? She NEVER got back to me. Not even to just apologize for the lie the store manager told me about "it's illegal to repair an exhaust leak". Moral of the story: CJ's in Lionville tried to trick me into a very expensive repair and then tried to sell me another repair of my struts which needed....NOTHING. I will never be back and I am going to tell this story to anyone who will listen. Why? because for years I used them and trusted them and then in December 2019 they Lied. The question was clear and so was the false answer. They may have had a better price in the end but there was no way to consider giving them business. PCC Van got a flat and needed a oil change . We left the Van previous night and everything was taken care of the next day. New tires at a competitive price and oil change done in professional manner. Will need 2 more tires in the fall and likely to return. Manager was very helpful and informative . read more

oil change issues. in for oil change and tire rotation. while waiting and watching my vehicle go up and down on service lift service advisor informed me " a little oil was spilled " i informed that same issue at limerick cj tire but that store failed to inform me which i noticed while checking oil level. i removed ignition coil packs to clean myself. this oil change required 3 hours of my time waiting for lionville cj tire to clean with the replacement of 3 spark plugs, my vehicle is a 4 cylinder = 4 spark plugs. when car back in my "possession " i was able to inspect work performed, oil splatter on other engine components also on drive axles etc. everyone can make their own decisions........ gary peterson 5 stars read more

Not a good experience. Had a nail stuck in the tread of my tire. The guy seemed to want to take advantage and tell me I'll need to buy a new tire. My father who drives for a living and a friend of mine who is a mechanic both states I could go get it fix because it wasn't close to the edge. Needless to say they didn't want to help me out and wanted me to buy a new tire. I went somewhere else and they didn't give me any problem they put a plug in within 15 minutes and I was good to go! I felt rushed and that the mechanic most likely takes advantage of women. Not too pleased. read more

I went back to get them to reflush my tires and get nitrogen put in them. The old guy told me thats what i was breathing, 78% of the air is nitrogen. I kinda just stared at him shocked for a second. I couldnt believe he was treating me so rudely. Sadly I always expect a little bit of your just a girl and dont know about any of this, but i have a sport bike so i understand the value and importance of 100% nitrogen. For thoes of you who dont know its less likely to leak through the rubber and takes large temperature differences to change pressure. Regardless he ended up sending me around to the back to top my tires off with air. I didnt want anything more to do with him so i left. read more

I brought my Toyota Sienna here for an oil change and tire rotation on Friday, 3/13. I was told both front axles were cracked and leaking. The cost for this repair would be over $900 and it was stressed that this is an urgent repair. However, I always have repairs done at Black Forest Auto in Phoenixville because they are excellent mechanics who have been there for 30 years. Black Forest auto told me that there is one clamp on the axle that is loose. They crimped it and the bill is $35. It is unconscionable that CJ's would lie about a major repair. Short term gain leads to long term loss. Not only will I no longer go to any CJ's for oil change or inspection but I will post a review on my Facebook page. I will recommend Black Forest Auto in Phoenixville to everyone in Phoenixville who follows my Facebook page. They may not have a comfortable waiting room like CJ's but my car will be properly serviced there. read more

DO NOT USE CJ Tires in Lionville PA.. They told me my exhaust manifold was cracked and failed inspection. This would be a $600.00 repair. So I took it to another mechanic for a second opinion. That mechanic said it was not cracked and there were no signs of exhaust black smoke and no noise. So I went back to Kevin Jeffers(manager) at CJ tires and told him what happened and asked for the sticker but he would not give it to me. So they are not a reputable business. read more

First time using them and probably the last. The technician assigned to me was friendly but lacked basic customer service skills (using language I didn't understand & calling me prematurely with updates) and he seemed inexperienced at best with the issues that my vehicle presented with. All in all I ended up having to drop my car off to them two days, pay them close to $200, was told they needed to order an expensive part for it to pass inspection, only to be told in the end that they actually couldn't program the part (electrical-related) and I'd have to take it to the dealership anyway. Shouldn't someone in the building have known that before putting me through all that?? Anyway, I think the kid was genuinely trying to help but I just ended up being frustrated, $200 poorer and still without new inspection stickers less than a week before the end of the month. They may be good with tires and your every day type of repairs but for anything more complicated, you may want to go elsewhere. read more

If I could give no stars Inwould. We arrived early Christmas Eve and our battery light turned on while driving. Christmas Eve night our car wouldn't start. The 26th we had car towed to CJ's tires in Lionville Pa. They told us we had to replace our alternator and our battery. The battery was bad even though it was exactly a year old. They said that caused the alternator to go. Total being 733. We decided to just check around and went to advanced auto zone who told us we could buy an alternator and battery and take it to another place to have installed. We bought an alternator from them 150 less than what CJ's was going to charge. We held off on battery since car tarted right away. The other garage called this morning that the car was running fine and the alternator and battery was just fine! We do have a 12 hour drive ahead of us so we asked him to change to the alternator since it was the original but we are 368 dollars less than what CJ's quoted! read more

I am generally pleased with CJ's tire. I feel like they give me a straight story on what my vehicles do and don't need and the employees are patient in explaining what needs to be done and why. They are always great in getting my cars in when I need them to and they get the work done in a timely manner. The customer service is excellent and very friendly. We were staying at the Hampton Inn for a wedding weekend. Our fuel pump decided to stop working. Hotel recommended CJ's (within walking distance of the hotel) and van was towed there on a Friday afternoon...repaired and ready at 10 am on Saturday--no problem--very satisfied! read more
