I have been back 4 times for an exhaust leak that they fixed 2 years ago , I took it back this year for inspection and said it was leaking again, fixed it again and then couple months start leaking again, now there saying they dont specialize in exhaust, why didnt they say that in the first place . I will never go back there again, some of the people there have attitude issues. read more

Had a great experience here. I am from out of town and called them early morning for an appointment for a road force balance. Got there around 10 am and was out the door by noon. They were able to get 3 out of 4 wheels balanced, with the 4th one as close to in-spec as possible. They also printed out the balance reading for me and explained how to read the chart. Nello Tire York PA does it again. Second set of Michelins on my Expedition. Great turnaround time and service. All in price is competitive. Free rotation at recommended mileage intervals. Now they are helping my kids from CT with same-day tires and installation. Note - Michelin provides 3-year flat tire change service with your inflated spare, or, free towing within 150 miles to the nearest Michelin tire dealer. Pretty cool! read more

Nello is and has been my friendly neighborhood tire shop for many years. I have been using their services for years and have always...ALWAYS been pleased. The staff is professional, honest, and kind in their work. The guys that turn the wrenches are equally professional and their work is excellent. Nello tire goes the extra mile to impress. (that's a mileage pun) It's true! More than once I have been pleasantly surprised by their small kindnesses. It's these little but important details that prompted my review. I had three of my vehicles oil changed over the last two weeks then Ask them about a four wheel alignment on one of my vehicles which I was told because the type of vehicle had to be a dealer only option come to find out that's not true they were able to do it and did a great job I also had them install four tires on the same vehicle and I'm very pleased with everything I would highly recommend them to anybody looking to get work done on their vehicles read more

Bought 5 brand new offroad tires for my jeep, after a week, all balancing weights fell off. I politely informed them and was very understanding, they seemed too busy to help me even after spending over $1,000 on tires. After returning 3 times they wouldn't do anything without a receipt, claimed they kept no record of my purchase even after admitting the owner remembered me. I will not return to Nello Tire and would advise anyone looking for decent service to do the same. read more

Under NO circumstance should you ever go here. I purchased 4 new tires for my Honda Element and within a week of getting them on I heard a rattling sound around my tire. After looking, I noticed that 2 of my 4 tires had up to three loose lug nuts (so much so that I could hand turn them). After talking with them, 5 months later I took my car back for a tire rotation and THE SAME THING HAPPENED. This place does not take the time to do the job right and I could have been in a severe accident. Avoid them at all costs! read more

Had a nail through my tractor tire, Dave was able to get me in out within 20 min so I could get back on the road to make my deliveries. Other companies would have charge an arm and leg and would have taken 12 hours. Awesome awesome and awesome! They were the only location in york that I found that readily changed my small tire job replacing tires on rims for John Deere aerator. When something like this goes and stops work it becomes a major issue. John Deere wasn't able to assist; their answer is to buy new....again. read more

While traveling through Pennsylvania I had a mechanical issue with my old Nissan. Thankfully, I was able to pull off the highway to get to this shop. Not only were they extremely helpful and friendly, but my repair was completed in less time and for less cost than the estimate (which was competitive). I can't recommend this place enough those in the York, PA area. read more

Ordered my tires on-line and had them delivered to Nello Tires. They called to notify me they were in - I didn't need to schedule an appointment to have my tires installed and the price was reasonable. Knowledgeable employees and a clean waiting room with flat screen tv and lots of reading material. Will use them again without question. read more

My husband and his family have been customers at Nello for years. I had $700 worth of new tires placed on my car at Nello three months ago. This morning I drove 30 miles, from Harrisburg and walked in at 11am. I was "greeted" by Frank, a very annoyed and unpleasant man. I asked for an oil change and tire rotation. They were not closing until 1pm. This was only the second time I'd been into the shop. Frank was not pleased, stating that I would probably have to be there until 1pm. That was fine because I was prepared to wait. I was so taken aback, that I'd forgotten to ask for an inspection as well. My inspection had been performed at Nello last year. I would have made an appointment, but they don't take them on Saturdays, which unfortunately is the only day I could ever get there from Harrisburg. Had Frank or any of the techs cared about business, they would have noticed that my inspection expires at the end of the month and would have wanted to complete that service for me or at least pointed out that it was due soon. Needless to say, I will never drive to York again for any service at Nello. God bless you, Frank. read more

I usually try not to write bad reviews because I know every place has their bad days but when you have more than one bad experience with a place well..... I took my Caravan to them because I knew I needed new front tires to pass inspection, but was not sure about the back. I specifically asked them to check the back tires and they reassured me the back tires would pass inspection and would last me until the next years inspection. Being tight on money, we replaced only the front tires, Nello Tire did the work. My inspection was due 2 months later, so we took the van back to them for the inspection. Yeah guess what it did NOT pass!?!?! And why?? Because of the back tires....I about freaked out on the phone, I really thought she was joking with me. I explained to her why I thought she was joking and she said "really because we have no service records for your van." I had her go get the receipt from Nello Tire out of my van for the new tires they put on 2 months prior, she then could not explain why they had no record of it! She also argued with me about pricing regarding getting 4 tires done vs 2. She said "those buy 3 tires get 1 free are just scams," I said i wasn't referring to that. I did my homework and called multiple places for prices on how much 4 new tires vs 2 new tires would be and every place was cheaper to do all 4 even Nello Tire and she basically called me a liar. She then gave me a price for the 2 new back tires, I then again called around and found a place that would put 2 back tires on cheaper than Nello Tire, but they would not match the price and I would have to pay to have them re-inspect the van if I had the work done elsewhere. I was told the rear needed an alignment that is why the rear tires needed replaced in 2 months time. I was asked if I wanted Nello to do the alignment. I said if it is not needed for inspection noway.. In the last week I have called multiple places for prices for an alignment and I have been told there is no rear alignment on Caravans. I just got off the phone with the Dodge dealership and they told me Caravans do not have rear alignments! So not sure if the Nello Tire associates even know what they are talking about. I will never do business or recommend this place. I have since took the Caravan to two other places to check the alignment and both places stated the van did NOT need an alignment. read more

I bought 2 sets of tires from Nello in 2013, not realizing that they do not include balancing in the "out the door" total price. They only balance if the customer requests, and that is an additional cost of up to $50. Not realizing this, and having vibration issues(assuming that balancing had already been done), I took the vehicle back for an alignment, which included repacking wheel bearings. Now, my 4-wheel drive unit will not engage. Would not recommend any service tire replacement from this firm! read more

Had new tires mounted and balanced here. They were balanced incorrectly, so I returned to the shop only to have the owner tell me his techs are the best in the business, and there is no need for them to be rebalanced... He pretty much told me to get lost. I further explained to him the need to have them re worked, he agreed with me at one point, yet still refused to correct his work... without me paying again. I asked him, "if I take these somewhere else and they are in fact out of balance, will you reimburse me for that extra expense"? He said, "absolutely not, because all balancers will read differently". The techs definitely good at what they do, but they are human....accidents happen, do good business and make this right. I guess this is what I get for trying to give my money to a small business, and not WalMart or Mr Tire. read more
