My car was parked in long term covered LAX party at a well known hotel. When I returned home my car had no tires or wheels. The fact that the garage had a low roof and that the lug nuts were gone made getting car out and to the repair show really challenging. My insurance put these guys onto my roadside assistance call. ETA was 1:10. I called a little after when the system said they were at my location to pick up. The guy on the phone, presumably the owner, said he didn't know why it said they were there and the driver would call me 5 min out from pickup. Thirty minutes pass and I call back. Left a voicemail asking for an ETA. Called again after 30 min. No call back. Nothing. Wouldn't trust these guys to pick me up if I was stranded and on fire. It's 9pm and the first yelp business that appeared in my search for 24hr tow service in DTLA did not pick up. CJ's Tow Service was next and not only did Chris arrive within minutes of my call, he was also responsive and took my car to the shop the next day within 30 minutes of my text confirmation that the shop would take my car (Ikonic were open the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and got me on the road - reviewing them next!). Have you ever had your car stop in the middle of Wilshire (& Normandie) at 8:30pm on a Friday night? You don't have AAA so no access to 24/7 service. What do you do? Who do you call? Well it happened to me and I'll tell you what you do. You call CJ's!! The terminal on my battery corroded off while I was stopped to make a left turn and everything just turned off at once. Which also meant that even my hazards weren't working to direct others around me. I tried calling a couple other places I found on Yelp but reached the answering machines both times. I was in my car waving the people behind me to go around and avoiding eye contact as much as possible. I needed help immediately and was relieved to see that CJ's is 24-hours. I called the number and CJ picked up right away. I told him where I was and his response was, "I'll be there in 10 mins." I hung up, thinking it was just lip service and that that there was no way he'd be there as promised. But sure enough, about 10 min later, CJ is hooking my car up to his truck. Let me tell you, this guy understands the urgent nature of his business. Arguably, there is no greater sense of relief than to see a tow truck in your rearview mirror when you're stranded on a busy street. I live only a few blocks away so I asked CJ to drop my car off on the street at a meter. Before he left, he even connected jumper cables to my battery to ensure that that was the problem. It was and his advice to get a new battery was the solution. And his prices? Let me first quickly say that when you're sitting in the middle of the street with your hood up and cars piling up behind you because most LA drivers just don't seem to pay attention, you start thinking you'd be willing to pay an exorbitant amount to make it all be over. But CJ quoted me a price that was substantially less than the figure I built up in my head. And really, isn't great service really...wait for it...priceless? read more

So I was locked out of my car and saw Chris from church towing , and asked if he could help me out. And after playing fishing with my own car for almost 30 mins, Chris comes over and bam! gets into my car in less then 25 seconds I'm back in my car putting my keys in to start it since I left them on the inside on the door pocket before I closed the door .he did it with out leaving any scratches and let me know if I needed anymore help to shoot him a call or text. Worst experience with a towing service! The man pulled up right after I ran out of gas and proceeded to be very nice asking if I needed help. He stated he may have a little left on his truck. He filled my car up with maybe a 1/4 of a gallon of gas and then proceeded to inform me after the fact that it would be $20! At first I thought he was joking to which his response was I'm running a business her honey my services aren't free. He went from being nice to a complete jerk! I then noticed the AAA patch and informed him that I had AAA to which his response was this isn't a AAA sweetie it $20. He was very rude and demeaning!! I told Chris about the ordeal, and he instantly knew the cause of the matter. My battery was pretty drained due to my carelessness of leaving the dome light on for 10-12 hours several weeks ago, which intel finally caught up to me. When i realized i still didn't have enough to cover it I tried to cancel but he was so quick he had already arrived. I explained my situation and he proceeded to hook up my car without hesitation.
