I love Dr. Charles Kim I am very pleased with his work and his bed side manner He has this magic hand that makes everyone PRETTY. The reason i am giving 1 star is because of his RUDE staff. Honestly, if it wasn't Dr. Kim I would give 0 Stars! Awful experience! The receptionist (the lady who speaks chinese) sounded like a high school student and had very vague information for me when I asked her about parking. She seemed like EVERYONE should be familiar with the ins and outs of Koreatown, but sorry, we are not. Received a call the day before the appointment to confirm my appointment but When I got there for my appointment, there was no one manning the receptionist's desk, so I sat and waited for about ten minutes, and this lady asked if I had been helped. I said no one helped me , so she said someone will be with me shortly. while waiting for the receptionist, she handed me a clipboard and asked me to fill out some forms before the consultation. I had only barely written my name when the high schooler-like receptionist came out from nowhere and announces that i had no appointment. OMG!!!!!! I was so upset. I advised her I had that I had a confirmation call the day before, then she started saying something very unpleasant in chinese. I do not understand chinese but it did not sound nice and made me feel very upset. I told her I wasn't going to argue with her and that I just want to meet with Dr. Kim. Then, she started talking to me very unmannered and very rude. The hospital needs someone who speaks english. One bad thing about this place is no one speaks english other than Dr. Kim. One more thing i want to mention about the receptionist, the way she is dresse!!!! lack of profession completely!!!!!!!! My boyfriend was there with me and he was so embarrassed to look at her. Allright, I had my breast augmentation surgery almost 5 years ago. I chose to have this procedure done because I had a malformity called breast constriction. Dr. Kim was the first to ever explain my problem to me, I had never understood why my breasts were so different before. He was very understanding, supportive and helped me understand choices and options that would work best for me. He was professional and very well informed about the options for my malformity and body type. I was encouraged by his staff that he was an excellent doctor and that I would be very happy with his skill. I had my procedure with no complications and within a year my breasts settled and looked totally natural. I've had my primary doctor, obgyn, and several other medical professionals tell me what a great job Dr. Kim did, that they never would have guessed my breasts weren't natural. I chose to have the surgical incision below my breast, not through the areaola so I would be more able to breastfeed later. My scars are so small and so negligable now its work to find them. I haven't had any real problems with my breasts since my surgery, I attributed that to Dr. Kim's thorough instructions and superior skill. I reffered two other people to Dr. Kim and they were also very happy with their results and with his proffessionalism. Dr. Kim is an excellent doctor, He has a ton of experience, a good eye for creating natural female contours and I wouldn't think twice about being his patient in the future. read more

I don't usually write reviews because I feel it gives a biased opinion which others are quick to believe but I honestly had to show my gratitude because Dr Kim changed my life. He is truly an artist. He is completely honest and is not sweet talking just to get you in. So many of the Drs I saw told me a million different things just to get my business. Fortunately I am a research Queen and do not easily get conned even by pros. Dr Kim had genuine concern for what I really wanted was honest (painfully so) and helped me figure out how to get the best results for me-not unrealistically. I visited TOO MANY Plastic surgeons in the LA area and was either skeptical, horrified or bored by my experiences. But I'm glad I didn't give up. Dr Kim did an amazing job revising a horrible upper eyelid job done a few years ago, now my eyes are not only symmetrical but natural looking and younger looking. He did this so easily that I decided to trust him with my nose...it has always been flat and stunted looking. Dr Kim sculpted my nose and gave me a beautiful bridge that is a perfect compliment to my new eyes and new face. I don't look like a completely different person just a me who looks like she's won the lottery and been pampered like a princess! I recently went to Dr. Kim for a blepharoplasty and I am simply amazed with the results! It's so difficult to find a doctor that you can entrust your face to, but it was easy for me to decide to go with Dr. Kim because of his high level of professionalism. On top of that, it was clear to see just how careful and meticulous he is with his practice. He was extremely thorough with examining my eyes, patiently answered my questions and addressed all my concerns. I booked a surgery date, and everything went smoothly. Juliette was particularly helpful during the entire process & regularly checked in with me both before and after my procedure. All the staff and nurses took extra care to make sure I was feeling comfortable the day of my surgery. The procedure itself was quite painless (once you get through the anesthetic shots, which is over in a few seconds). I was extremely surprised by the short recovery time--my eyelids were swollen and mildly bruised for just about 4 days, and then they rapidly got better and better by the day. I actually felt okay about going out to do minor errands by the 5th day, and I was able to go out and socialize in about 10 days. It's been just over 2 weeks since my surgery, and there's very minimal scarring left on my eyelids. And perhaps most importantly, the results look very natural and beautiful! Ck Plastic Surgery has been a great find for me! I have been twice now for 2 IPL Photo facial and Laser facial treatments, which I found at a GREAT deal on Living Social. Dr. Kim and the staff in my experience were kind and professional. Both appointments followed the same procedure where the staff explained everything to me that I should know before moving under the laser. I found Dr. Kim to be helpful and educational through out the procedure... I asked a lot of questions about my skin and he answered them all in detail. I have heard that some people are uncomfortable with Laser treatments, but they numbed my face prior (with topical cream) and I didn't find the Laser treatment to be uncomfortable. A small price to pay for removing dark spots and shrinking your pores! Finally, they ended with a Face mask that helped cool down my skin and left my skin feeling amazing! The next day some of my dark (freckle) spots had gotten a little darker and some slightly larger. Then about 3 days later those exact spots had vanished! It's been 10 years since I had surgery and I'm really nervous. I was happy with my results, no obvious scar. I had 500cc Silicone implants over the muscle in early 2004. I was in a study for the silicone implants due to my low body weight and because I was all done having kiddos. My only complaint was they are large, I decided a big scar would be too much for me and the doctor filled up my current skin tissue with the implant instead of removing any at the time. They always ripple on the top but it seemed to be getting worse particularly on my right side. A mammogram and ultrasound this September showed that I have a leak in my right breast. I'm a very active personal trainer and very lean. I have very little tissue on my upper body. I'm scheduled for an implant removal, full lift and new implants, going with the textured "gummy bear" in a much smaller 360cc. I'm very worried about the scars and I know this will be quite a change for me. read more

I got some consultations with another plastic surgeon' s office. The doctor advised me a mint thread lifting and filler but I didn't want to get surgical treatment on my face. I called Dr. Kim's office and spoke with Eunhee and met her, she was very friendly and understood what I don't like plastic surgery and recommended me Ultheraphy and Kybella treatment. I got the treatments from a male RN, he treated my face carefully and kindly. I got the type of treatment first time in my life so I was very nervous, but thankfully I met a nice nurse and finished it with less pain now I am waiting for diminished swollen cheeks. Dr. Kim is a great surgeon. I had done upper blepharoplasty reconstructive surgery which was a difficult case but the results came out great. I had many consultations with other plastic surgeons but the prior surgery was done so badly thus many doctors declined to do the repair surgery. But Dr. Kim says he likes challenging cases. He did not over promise the outcomes but I appreciated his honesty and I felt his sincere care for the patient's suffering. I am happy with the results and thanks to Dr. Kim.
