It's been 8 months. They botched my face and REFUSED to refund me. I look 10 years older, left eye puffy, right eye hollow. Dr. Andrew Kwanghwi Choi and his wife are still running this shady practice: 1. Dr Choi is not a board certified plastic surgeon (which has to be specifically certified by American Board of Plastic Surgery) as he claimed on Social Media. He did not go through proper training as his fake title implied. 2. Dr Choi used cheap non-FDA-approved BOTOX on his patients. The label and invoices clearly stated "For research purposes only", "not for human use"! (see the court order attached below) 3. Dr Choi had a DUI in recent years. He was drunk and fell asleep in the car and then had a collision. (see the court order attached below) 4. Dr Choi has been disciplined by CA Medical Board due to the above 2 reasons, and stayed in "public reprimand" secondary status till today. (see the CA medical board info attached below) 5. Dr Choi is currently around 75 years old if he did not lie about his degree from South Korea. And he chose to continue to ruin people's face with his malpractice instead of retirement. 6. Search in the comments: "yell". I am not the only patient being screamed at here. And also please scroll down all the way to the bottom to read the 40 hidden comments (a lot of them were written by angry Korean customers) 7. Dr Choi ruined my face, he did upper & lower eyelid surgery on me, also fat graft to upper cheeks. He (a) removed way too much fat from my lower eyelids and they look hollow now. (I'm not the only case, check out other reviews and photos, including hidden reviews) We never agreed to remove fat from my lower eyelid, we only agreed on lower eyelid fat repositioning (b) made my upper eyelid awfully uneven and also swollen look, also removed too much fat from upper eyelids (c) wrongly injected the fat graft into my left lower eyelid instead of the upper cheek 8. Dr Choi performed a revision surgery on my left lower eyelid under local anesthesia and he still failed to fix it or remove the fat graft. Now 8 months later, my face is stable now and totally botched (see attached photo) 9. On the day of the revision surgery, the doctor was 4 hours late. ( I booked a same day flight back home and I informed them about that in advance because the surgery is only under local anesthesia. The flight time was a few hours after the planned surgery. I indeed took the rest time after surgery into consideration.) However, I missed my flight due to the delay on their side. And I asked for a reimbursement due to this absurd 4 hour delay. 10. And then Suzy, the doctor's wife came into the clinic room and screamed at me for an hour, pointing in my face with her finger 1-2 inches away from my bruised and bleeding face right after the surgery, gaslighting me and screaming "this is your mistake!!!!!" "We did you a favor with the revision!!!!!!" for 20 times or more, with her saliva spitted on my face. I couldn't even move or leave that room that moment. I was lying down and icing my bruised eyes, had to stay there after surgery in case of further bleeding. During the whole time, I did not say a thing. In the end, she seemed so happy and satisfied about herself after constantly screaming at me for 1 hour, thinking a young quiet naive Chinese girl alone like me is so easy to deal with. Suzy, it's not my mistake that your husband botched my face and it's not my mistake that you guys were so late. Gaslighting, screaming doesn't get you anything but more trouble. Suzy, you guys lied about so many things, ruined my face, used fake BOTOX on people. Is your name even real? How can you and your husband be so shameless and uncivilized, screaming at patients right after surgery while you botched their face? Why did your husband drive at night while being so drunk, even falling asleep in the car, maybe he is tired of his life full of lies and failures and feeling dead inside? I chose your husband to perform the surgery because I was deceived by his fake "board certified plastic surgeon" title and gentle manner and smile during the consultation. I will fix my face with another surgeon with thorough research this time. And I will take necessary legal actions. Plus you guys will have your karma, maybe you already did, cause I saw your old pathetic botched face, Suzy. And your husband indeed looks dead inside, he still has to continue his lies and botching people's faces at the age of 75ish. After being screamed at and humiliated in the clinic room by you for an hour right after the surgery, it's not hard for me to imagine how you treat your family and children. Karma is real. To all other patients who had an awful result here: please don't give up on fixing your face, as long as you do enough research. And please don't feel guilty or shamed for choosing the wrong surgeon. I scheduled a free virtual consultation with Dr. Choi and he actually recommended that I don't do any sort of surgery to my eyes. He explained ratios and distances that are generally found appealing, and explained how I meet the criteria already and if I go through with surgery I'll mess with the ratios and perhaps get something unintended. He did urge me to get a second opinion, but ended our conversation by saying he personally wouldn't recommend anything to me. I got double eyelid surgery with Dr. Choi on 07/18/22 ! Dr Choi and his team made whole process was easy for me. I was really nervous going into it but I know I made the right choice in which doctor would perform my surgery. During the consult, the secretaries were very kind and patient with me regarding the process and and any questions I had . When it came time for me to see Dr Choi he took his time to show me different shapes and sizes and helped me pick the one that would fit my face the best. I was able to voice my concerns with him about how my eyelids are very uneven and he was able to show me how they would fix that issue. He also didn't recommend unnecessary procedures for me like other doctors have in the past. Other doctors told me i would need ptosis correction but when Dr Choi saw me he told me I didn't even have ptosis to begin with ! I'm very grateful with how honest he was . When it came day for my surgery , everyone was very attentive and gentle when it came to prep. I was put asleep during the procedure and when i woke up i didn't realize it was already finished because I didn't feel any pain at all. I was surprised by how painless it would be after the procedure ! They instructed me on proper post surgery care and I was able to go home right after . During my healing stage , i was able to call and send pictures to them about any concerns and they would answer me promptly and reassure me. Today I got my sutures removed and I was able to see the incision lines clearer. I was amazed by how clean and even the lines were. I had revision consult here after getting my eyelids botched by Goretti Ho (who I do NOT recommend) . Dr. Choi is very kind and a good listener. He spent over an hour detailing my issues and figuring out a plan for my revision. He took photos of my eyelids and blew it up on a screen where he could mark all the problem areas. He also measured my eyelids and found that they were overly shortened by the previous surgeon, which is why I can't close my eyes now. I was just blown away by the level of care and attention he gave me during this traumatic time, especially compared to my previous experience. I am so happy with my double eyelid surgery, Dr Choi is a very skilled surgeon. He was so patient and comfortable to talk to during the consultation, it took me less than 5 minutes to make my decision for him to work on my eyes. (I had alot of prev consultations with other doctors in the US and in Asia and I just didn't feel like they understood what I wanted). During the consultation Dr Choi takes pictures of your eyes then puts them on a computer and helps you analyze the size width and shape you desire, he isn't pushy or rushed at all, he takes his time to listen to what you want and gives his professional advice and is very knowledgeable in answering all your questions. Do not go here for double eyelid surgery. Had a bad experience. 1 week after surgery there was very visible scar tissues formed on both eyes and got worse after months. So Dr. Choi preformed a revision for me after 5 months and now 6 months after that I got the same results back again. On my revision surgery the sutures weren't removed completely and now after a year, there is this piece of suture line literally sticking out of my skin and hanging there. 2 starts for the polite front desk ladies and nurse. read more

So I just got my eyes done on June 2nd from Dr. Andrew Choi and I have to say he is amazing. The consultation was a big factor for my decision to have my surgery done with Dr. Choi. I didn't feel like I had to get other procedures done. The surgery was a breeze and no pain what so ever..with the help of a Valium lol. It's been almost 3 weeks since the surgery and I haven't had any complications. The swelling has gone down tremendously and I couldn't be happier. I had upper eyelid surgery done by Dr. Choi a few years ago. I didn't want to write a review until I was sure my eyes had fully healed. So, the pros are Dr. Choi has a good bedside manner, and the surgery went smoothly and painlessly. However, post-surgery, and approx 5 years later, my eyelids are still VERY swollen looking. **Review of office visit only as too early to discuss results.** Came in on Christmas Eve because I was visiting from out of town and they were so accommodating with scheduling. Both Dr. Choi and the office manager were great and answered the (many) questions I had. I don't understand Korean fully so we spoke entirely in English, but they also speak full Korean as well. I appreciated that Dr. Choi wasn't pushy at all with products and his approach seems to be more conservative. While they didn't rush my appointment, I was out of there way faster than expected!
