I shopped here for over 25 years and bought everything needed for my appliances and always replaced them as needed. I always felt good about supporting a smaller business instead of the big box stores. I needed a window a.c. Without thinking twice I was driving to Seidmans on a 90 degree day. Was greeted by a sign on there door call this number and schedule an appointment doors are locked at 3 in the afternoon with sales people looking at me from inside! Are you kidding me I can literally see the a.c. Units on the sales floor. So I drove a mile up Rt. 322 to the local Walmart and I was really dreading it. But to my surprise they had there units stacked up as you came in grab and go Thur self ck out. In and out in under 10 minutes. I guess that's how they got so big. Good customer service and convenient shopping. That's how you treat people in need of an ac unit on a hot day. read more

Beware this place. At delivery they announced set up charges that were never discussed at the time of purchase. They then charged a credit card they were told they were not authorized to use. FYI this business changed ownership this year. The old Seidman's is no more! read more

I've heard kind words about Seidman's over the years but never shopped there. From now on, all my appliances will come from Seidmans. I purchased an oven and dish washer from them last year. The salespeople were so kind, the prices were great. Delivery was in less than a week (I said "no rush" ) and I was a happy consumer. I was dreading appliance shopping but this was a very pleasant experience and I love my purchases! I have tried for 5 years to replace my double wall oven. The bottom oven worked but not the top. Been to Sears, Home Depot, Lowes, GE and Gregg. Multiple ovens delivered, none installed. Today I had installed a beautiful Whirlpool wall oven. Glitches? Builder put in electrical system against code. My back wall was scorched. Breaker was fried. Thank you, thank you Mr. Yavelberg for fixing everything and charging a very reasonable sum. Besides some communication issues, I was very pleased with the care showed to me. Mr. Yavelberg came to assess the situation (24 inch oven, wanted a 27 inch) He is the epitomy of professionalism. I recommend this business to anyone. They helped me when no one else would. We have been using Seidmans for years-since the late 1980s! And my parents bought from them before that. This is the ONLY place to buy appliances. The staff is friendly AND more importantly knowledgeable about their products. Their prices cannot be beat and they will price match, if necessary, on identical item. We have recommended Seidmans to friends who have been similarly pleased. We will now recommend this little gem to our son who is purchasing his first home. The purchase experience was pleasant enough, but I've been frustrated since then. When my refrigerator was delivered the kickplate was broken. The delivery person said I should receive a new one within 2-3 weeks. After about 2 months, I called about it. Got the answering machine (during business hours), left a message. No one returned my call. A few weeks later I called again and reached someone who took down my information and said he'd call me back. Never heard from him. In the meantime, the refrigerator door handle broke (cheap plastic crap these days!!). I called again and they scheduled a repair visit a week and a half out. I said they needed to come after 3 p.m. when my son would be home from school to let them in. They got there 10 minutes early, he wasn't home, so they left. Now they tell me they'll call sometime next week to reschedule. I won't hold my breath. I also won't do business with Seidman again. read more
