There was literally a guy training for the olympics there. But, my first class was tonight and the trainer was great. I was relieved to see that the others in the challenge class were at my level and the trainer focused the class on our goals and abilities. Kicked my butt more than any other workout has, including 3 years with a personal trainer, but I felt supported and confident throughout. 27 days left-and while I am not looking forward to the pain, I am excited by the results I believe I will see. As an update-I lost 6 pounds and a dress size in a month and am a lot stronger. I can't believe I can actually flip tires and push trowels. More effective than anything else I have ever done. Tod and his team are motivating, knowledgable and patient.

For anyone with younger children, I would DEFINITELY check out their open gym time to get a feel for the place. The facility is extremely clean and well-run, the equipment is in excellent condition, and I am conststantly impressed with how professional, creative, and genuinely happy to be there the instructors are- from Master Chung himself down, they all seem to LOVE teaching skills to children. (And not in a cheesy way!) I would definitely recommend the sports skills class to anyone with a child in the 2.5-5 year range. My niece is learning so much and becoming so much more confident in her abilities. Unlike other similar classes I've observed at other locations, Bruce Chung's makes sure that all the children in the class are engaged, with minimal time just sitting around waiting their turn. I've gone to a couple of karate schools in the westchester area and hated them but when I came here I couldn't stop. I did over 5+ years here and got up to my high green belt. (Had to stop to stop after my 2nd year of college) I was in the adult class since beginning of high school. There's a mixture of older students to adults in the classes . They mixed up the classes from cardio, to self defense, to ground fighting and forms. Both my younger sister have gone through the program and Hiawatha and Steve have done everything to make sure we got the best deal. It's a safe clean environment. Waiting area for the parents with TVs to watch the all the classes from other rooms. My sisters and I would rotate doing homework while the other was in class. It's close to the metro north and to many food places in Larchmont. I am certainly not the more trained or most athletic person but I absolutely love this place and care about the instructors like family. From the belt ceremonies to learning a new form this place is the best by far from the other schools around. They also offer free trials to test out how you would feel in the class.

I had lung cancer since 2014. I did surgery chemo and radiation. And in 2017 they said it was in my…read morespine.  In Nov 2021, I was in the hospital, they said I had blood clots. But the blood clot medication was not working. I had to be in the hospital on the IV for 3 days.  I couldn't move, drive, walk, I was in a wheel chair. Then they said my chemo stopped working. Then I started to wear all of the Photo Therapy patches you recommended. I did those every day faithfully.  I lived with my sister, because she was taking care of me. Now I take care of myself, I can walk, run, I can drive. I am able to do work around the house. And fully take care of myself. So I moved out of my sisters house. And a lot of my protocols that I was doing before, went by the wayside. I wasn't doing all the things I was doing in my therapy. And I started to feel something was off. So I remembered what I was doing before. And one thing was the patches. I started to wear them again, and have been wearing them for 2.5 weeks again. I have a lot more energy now. I was wearing patches for 3-4 month, in 2022.
