I feel odd scribbling this review because it's just an event space, and I wasn't the one who rented it. I was forcefully dragged here while under the weather by my Chica for the Cleopatra's Dream thingy. I'm not really into cosplay, let alone Egyptian cosplay, but a friend of ours was performing and we had to support. I walked away with a new found respect for belly dancing and all other things Egyptian, to be honest. The event was major cool and the $15 up-charge for unlimited cheap wine was crowd pleaser. As for the venue, it's small. Good for medium-sized parties. Maybe 150 people max? There is a stage, a kitchen/bar area, ample restrooms and some "secret" spots on the south side of the space. Not sure what was going on in there--was afraid to look. I didn't wanna be given a Phoenix mask and asked to plow some 50 year-old man's wife. Anywho... lol My suggestion, get a proper sound system, CL Space. It seems cheesy to me that whoever is DJing or proving the entertainment has to bring their own speakers. The space is very acoustic, like a long and empty hall, and a certain type of speaker placement is needed to adequately fill it with audio. Very few average Joes could pull it off, including the DJ for this event. I felt like I was at a kid's birthday party. So just wire up a fancy surround sound that DJs and such can plug their equipment into.

    Cleopatra's Dream event was killer

Severs made a lot of conversational noise during the presentations which was distracting. It needs a bit of a refresh as it's a bit beat up.

I started with the charred octopus, which was plated beautifully and tender with just the right hint of smokiness. The accompanying elements added brightness and contrast, making every bite layered and memorable. For the main, I went with the seared steak medallions, perfectly cooked to a juicy medium-rare, paired with a silky mashed potato purée and vibrant green sauce that brought a fresh pop to the dish. Rich, flavorful, and thoughtfully balanced. The surprise hit? The crispy Brussels sprouts. These were next-level--golden brown, slightly sweet, and addictive. The perfect mix of texture and umami. The service was polished and attentive throughout, fitting for a private club experience. Whether you're here for a special occasion, business dinner, or just want to treat yourself, The Tampa Club delivers a memorable fine dining experience with top-tier food and views to match.

    Oxford Exchange - French toast

The building is beautiful; you pass thru an unusual (in a good way) bookstore, candle pour bar,…read morecoffee bar, tea bar, a gift shop with very unique items, & then into the restaurant. Paintings adorn the walls inside, but you can also dine in the "outside patio" with a glass ceiling overhead & lots of plants around. Our server, Cami, was pleasant & gave us time to peruse the menu. The option of breakfast served all day was a surprise. We decided to try three appetizers: the whipped feta, buttermilk fried chicken & fried Brussel sprouts. A glass of sangria & iced tea for beverages. Everything was delicious & exceeded our expectations. Cami checked on us regularly asking if we'd like to order anything else. Would definitely put the Oxford Exchange at the top of our restaurant list when going across the bridge to Tampa. Already thinking about the French toast for the next visit.

Oh my goodness, where do I begin? Oxford Exchange was such a great experience from start to finish…read more It's way more than just a restaurant -- it's a bookstore, coffee bar, candle-making area, champagne bar (perfect for a girls' day or bachelorette outing), and a cute gift shop with little trinkets and goodies. The entire space has a lively but still relaxed atmosphere that makes you want to stay and explore. We stopped in for breakfast and everything was excellent. Our table ordered the Brussels sprouts, avocado toast, French toast, a pot of tea, and an Old Fashioned, and the total came to about $87. The French toast was honestly some of the best I've ever had. Service was friendly and attentive, and the staff made the experience even better. After breakfast, we walked around and checked out the rest of the property, including the upstairs seating area and additional spaces. There's so much to see here that it feels like an experience more than just a meal. One tip: definitely make a reservation ahead of time because it stayed packed the entire time we were there. Can't wait to come back!
