Very clean establishment. Our waitress was very sweet and kind! The place needs better ventilation because I smell the entire lounge in my hair now. Drinks were good ... we were about to order food until we realized it comes from an another location where the staff has to walk it up a block amongst random people outside NOT COVERED!! That is disgusting. Please atleast get covers as there are nasty people are walking around outside. DJ needs to play more of a mix. The Caribbean section was requested and last 4 songs. Cover the food, better ventilation and get a more diverse DJ. read more

I came here for my birthday with a few friends of mine. And we had quite an adventure and quite a bunch of fun out here. First things first, I met the owner and he told me that his birthday is coming up on Monday so that being said, he gave us a few complementary shots on the house and he also took a shot with us. That was a cool experience. After that, we decided to just stay for drinks and then we eventually left. The reason why I know we really like this place, it's because after the concert concluded, we ended up coming right back to this place in the exact same spots for more drinks. And the exact same thing that happened the first time happened the second time... We ended up with more free shots on the house because of the birthday celebration. we also decided to get some food which is not listed here, but it was a great experience and I really liked and would come back in a heartbeat. read more

Walked in here because the DJ was playing good music, but as soon as we got to the bar, I wanted to leave. Bartenders are so slow in serving you and they look like they straight up don't want to be there. None of them smile and you can tell the team doesn't get along. The drinks are overpriced compared to other bars downtown. Odd they didn't sell seltzers. Jameson shots are an arm and a leg. Tipped $15 and not even a thank you. read more

A group of us in town from the D(c)M(d)V(a) came to Geo's last night for the Next Level entertainment Mi Amore Monday Happy Hour. The lounge was very nice and decorated beautifully! The DJ and saxophonist were great both playing oldies and new music that kept the crowd engaged. Service was a little slow in the beginning but as more bartenders/servers came in things got better. Loved the vibe here! Cool fluorescent blue light that emasculates the space inside. They have one TV and one projector to watch sports and what have you. Geo's is a great spot if you want to throw an Andrew Jackson on a nice sized glass of wine! I had the Bonanza cab sav and it hit the spot, but not worth the price in my opinion. The red wine was ice cold and I really thought it was supposed to be room temperature. I'm not a wine connoisseur, but I know that white wine is typically the chilled one. Overall service was great from the two bartenders who were very informative of their inventory. read more

Geo's might've had A/C, but it sure didn't feel like it. The place was hot, overcrowded, and smelled like straight funk. Like people showed up after a full day outside and skipped the shower completely. No dress code whatsoever there were women still in their bathing suits like they came straight from the beach and didn't even bother freshening up. It was giving "sweaty and unbothered." Between the heat, the smell, and being packed in like sardines, the whole experience was a no for me. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone, especially if you're just visiting. Plenty of other spots that don't feel like a humid locker room. read more

A fan of Duo Amici, so when Geo decided to open a lounge next door, to cater to the grown and sexy, I knew it would be a vibe to Tampa, and they have not disappointed. Definitely a grown and sexy ambiance and service. The lounge to check out on the weekends usually there's a guest DJ and it seems to just to expand, what was once wine and beer only is now a full service bar with appetizing bites such as wings, jalapeño, poppers, loaded, fries, and more. My wife and I were here Friday evening and thought this would be a cool place to checkout. The decor is upscale as well as the prices. The Wine menu is via QR code which is on the table surface as well as a placard on the table. When you pull up the menu, the first thing listed is their $600 plus bottle of Champagne. Really? Most wines are by the bottle and limited wines by the glass. They also have some cocktails (limited), beer (limited), and a charcuterie board. My wife asked the waitress about a cocktail and the waitress was clueless. The bartender answered the questions and that is what she ordered. The cocktail was ok. I had a beer only because the one wine I would have ordered was $26 a glass (Pinot Noir). When the bill came, the charges for the drinks were higher than on the QR code menu. The manager explained that the increase in the drink prices was the 20% service fee. The math did not add up plus the 20% service fee was added at the bottom of the bill. After showing the manager her explanation was not valid, they gave us a 50% discount off the entire check. We did not ask for it, we just wanted to pay the correct the pricing from the menu. We did leave the appropriate tip for the waitress as this had nothing to do with her. End of the day we won't be back. read more

First he responded via email saying I needed to text (A little unprofessional) then he got a little information and stopped messaging after asking how big the guest list was. The menu is light, very light, as would you would expect in a wine bar: charcuterie, etc. So don't come here hungry. Make it the place you visit BEFORE or AFTER dinner. This small but prettily decorated bowling alley (long and narrow) of a restaurant doesn't have much in the way of seating, as just as much space is allocated to a standing/dancing area. Wine menu is pretty diverse in both variety and price point, given how small of a space this is. The owners are there making sure that all guests are taken care of, and that's a really wonderful way of creating and keeping a special and intimate vibe. I hope success for this place! read more

This place recently opened and I was excited to try it out. I made reservations not knowing how busy it was going to be. They did put a reserved sign on our table in a cozy spot against the wall with a bistro table. The place is nicely decorated but here is the problem. The prices are outrageous! $8 for a Corona and $14.99 for my cocktail with some kind of orange liquor and rosé sparkling wine. The prices listed in the scanned menu where not the same as what was on the bill. The manager came over and told us 20% was added but that was not the case. They also automatically added 20% gratuity for a party of 2 and that was not listed anywhere on the menu. Needless to say we were underwhelmed with the cost, policies and drink prices. My drink btw.. was just ok. The manager did take half off our bill. We were just looking for a correction. 2 stars for that. IMO a bougie champagne bar is out of place in Ybor. read more
