As someone who visited Tampa as a tourist, Armature works is a must-go-to food court area, it's a pretty popular place teeming with people, and there you can finds all sorts of foods such as Sushi, drinks, BBQ, ice cream, there's even a place there that has carnival food, or what I went there for, Cuban food. The Cuban sandwich and flan I got there were amazing, and the people were friendly, something I've noticed with people in Tampa in general shout out to them. Overall it had a good vibe, an old fashioned sort of style of interior with stuff to do all around it, the World Cup was also going on so in the back of the building there was a watch party with a giant screen for the Argentina V Switzerland game, which just gave me the feeling of "hey, this place is awesome they even do screenings in their back yard!" read more

This food hall is a Tampa gem, especially for visitors. The high ceilings of the converted space and ample fans ensure diners stay cool on the hottest days. And the food stalls have something for everyone, from fresh pasta to carnival classes, cuban delights, dumplings, sushi, pizza and more. The restrooms are clean, there's an inner champagne courtyard and there's also a beautiful front lawn leading to the Riverwalk. When we visited there was a World Cup viewing party in session, as well as families enjoying their food on the outdoor seating. I didn't want anything too heavy so I got the buffalo chicken pizza pinwheel. I'm obsessed with Armature Works! It's honestly my go to spot for hanging out with friends and family. The vibe here is just great. There are tons of places to sit, whether you want to grab a spot inside or chill outside by the water. There's a massive variety of food to choose from, too. It's definitely on the pricier side, but the food is solid and the atmosphere makes it worth it. Definitely keep an eye on their events, too! My friends and I went to their Love Island watch party recently and had such a blast. Watching reality TV right by the river was honestly a highlight. The Armature was definitely a lovely vibe on a Sunday afternoon. After we arrived into Tampa we headed straight to one of our first recommended spots. So glad we did. While we waited to check into our hotel, we enjoyed the variety of eateries to choose from, the jamming DJ and the view of the riverfront! Nice, casual dining spot by the water in downtown Tampa. It's a food court with about 10 restaurants and plenty of space for dining both indoor and outdoor. We went around 12pm on a Tuesday and it was perfect, not too busy inside and not too hot outside so we were able to enjoy the scenery. As for food, we got the 4 pack empanadas from Empamama with two Mother Clucker empanadas and two Fresh Prince ones. We paired the empanadas with the bang bang sauce and it definitely added to the flavor, especially the Mother Clucker. The mother Clucker was an 8/10 for me while the fresh prince was a 7/10. The restaurant also offers a margarita slushy and an apple cider slushy which we had samples of and that was good. We ended up getting lemonade and strawberry lemonade from a different restaurant though because we were just feeling that instead. Overall, I spent about $30 here ($22 for food and $8 for drinks). I really emphasize that this is a casual spot and I would come here for a quick mid-day snack rather than for an entire meal. I was definitely still hungry after but the food was enough to hold me over for a couple hours. read more

There is a ton of parking around the area but be prepared to walk, especially on weekends. Armature Works gets crowded on weekends, holidays, and event days. It's right on the river, so the view is nice and makes it a great spot for a drink or to grab a bite. The neighboring restaurant Ulele will sometimes grill oysters by the water, don't pass this up. They are still, to date, the best oysters I've had, ever. On weeknights, I'd park at Riverfront park to run the entire Riverwalk. I'd end at Armature Works for a bite and a drink, then walk back to my car. It was a favorite run of mine (except for rainy days). They are dog friendly, family friendly, and have a TON of food options. A great spot to go if you can't decide what to do/where to go for the night. read more

It's the perfect place for a group of people as they have dozens of different food & dessert stalls for every type of food preference. I went to armature works before a Yankees VS. Rays game. This place is amazing!! So many different vendors to choose from. From empanadas to shakes they have everything you can ask for. I decided to go to Juicy's Fair Food and the shakes were so amazing. I got a chocolate one and along with that I got crinkle cut fries and a little burger. The burger was really good and so were the fries. The portions of the fries were a lot bigger than shown so be aware. We got two orders and we could barely finish one. The inside of the place still has the warehouse effect but it also had modern vibes too. There are fun activities outside like giant chess and checkers and corn hole, it was really fun!! We were in town for my birthday (March 14) and was looking for some fun things to do since we were assuming most places would be celebrating for St. Patrick's Day! Come to find that Armature Works (on its own already seems like a fun place) was having a Pickle Fest! And it's also on the river, which was dyed green! On arrival, it was VERY busy but we were able to find parking pretty quickly and just walked over. The bars and food spots were all busy was well, but everything moved and felt pretty organized. I got a slice of Pickle Pizza at The Fold and it was SO good. I had never had a pickle pizza before and now that's all I want lol! There was good music playing, nice people, people with dogs and kids - it was a pretty nice afternoon! Would definitely like to come back when there isn't anything going on so we can check out more of the area and food spots. We'll be back for sure! read more

Armature Works has plenty to offer for everyone! It's a large food hall with about 10-15 different vendors offering a wide variety of food, including Greek, sushi, pizza, BBQ, and more. There are also three bars: a rooftop bar called M.Bird, one located in the main thoroughfare, and a champagne bar on the patio. In addition, they have three full-service sit-down restaurants and a private event space. Seating is open, so once you order and receive your food, you'll need to find a table. There's also a large outdoor area with yard games and plenty of seating, all located right along the river. Parking is available on the street, or you can use one of their two large paid parking lots, so be prepared to pay for parking. Armature Works: Where Industrial Chic Met a Boho Pinterest Board and Had a Beautiful, Eclectic Baby Walking into Armature Works feels like being hugged by reclaimed wood, Edison bulbs, and someone named Sage who sells handmade kombucha coasters on Etsy. It's a vibe. A beautiful, wildly eclectic, mildly confusing vibe. It's got modern polish with a hippie heart--think macramé meets steel beams. You'll see moms with strollers, digital nomads on their third cold brew, and at least one man in a linen shirt named River playing chess by himself. The food hall? A glorious maze of artisan tacos, truffle fries, and juice that costs more than my car's oil change. Worth it. Every. Drop. Great hot spot in DT Tampa that's always lively and has a little something for everyone! Yeah, parking can be an issue, especially if you want to park close by, but for me, I plan my day coming out here knowing that I'm going to go out for a long walk with my dog, and depending on the weather, it's actually quite pleasant and enjoyable. Now is a great time to go, whether in the morning, afternoon, or evening before its too hot. There's a very wide array of restaurants available, and you can spend a long time looking over your choices. Since Armature Works has first opened, I have tried a lot of places, some of which have been gone by now. Me, I personally love Dal Moro's Pasta to go (check out my review) and Chill Bros Ice Cream (also with a separate review). Armature Works is a great venue to taste and savor it all, and even though it's almost always packed, you can always find seating, both inside and outside. Anywhere you go you can't get a bad spot. Just be sure to check out the calendar to be sure it's no so crowded that you can't get a spot, because there's often live entertainment outside even when there's no special occasion. The place is overall kept clean, and the service is friendly. They are also dog-friendly, so this is a top choice for me to spend a special day with my dog.
