I'm obsessed with Armature Works! It's honestly my go to spot for hanging out with friends and family. The vibe here is just great. There are tons of places to sit, whether you want to grab a spot inside or chill outside by the water. There's a massive variety of food to choose from, too. It's definitely on the pricier side, but the food is solid and the atmosphere makes it worth it. Definitely keep an eye on their events, too! My friends and I went to their Love Island watch party recently and had such a blast. Watching reality TV right by the river was honestly a highlight. I didn't want anything too heavy so I got the buffalo chicken pizza pinwheel. The Armature was definitely a lovely vibe on a Sunday afternoon. After we arrived into Tampa we headed straight to one of our first recommended spots. So glad we did. While we waited to check into our hotel, we enjoyed the variety of eateries to choose from, the jamming DJ and the view of the riverfront! Nice, casual dining spot by the water in downtown Tampa. It's a food court with about 10 restaurants and plenty of space for dining both indoor and outdoor. We went around 12pm on a Tuesday and it was perfect, not too busy inside and not too hot outside so we were able to enjoy the scenery. As for food, we got the 4 pack empanadas from Empamama with two Mother Clucker empanadas and two Fresh Prince ones. We paired the empanadas with the bang bang sauce and it definitely added to the flavor, especially the Mother Clucker. The mother Clucker was an 8/10 for me while the fresh prince was a 7/10. The restaurant also offers a margarita slushy and an apple cider slushy which we had samples of and that was good. We ended up getting lemonade and strawberry lemonade from a different restaurant though because we were just feeling that instead. Overall, I spent about $30 here ($22 for food and $8 for drinks). I really emphasize that this is a casual spot and I would come here for a quick mid-day snack rather than for an entire meal. I was definitely still hungry after but the food was enough to hold me over for a couple hours. read more

There is a ton of parking around the area but be prepared to walk, especially on weekends. Armature Works gets crowded on weekends, holidays, and event days. It's right on the river, so the view is nice and makes it a great spot for a drink or to grab a bite. The neighboring restaurant Ulele will sometimes grill oysters by the water, don't pass this up. They are still, to date, the best oysters I've had, ever. On weeknights, I'd park at Riverfront park to run the entire Riverwalk. I'd end at Armature Works for a bite and a drink, then walk back to my car. It was a favorite run of mine (except for rainy days). They are dog friendly, family friendly, and have a TON of food options. A great spot to go if you can't decide what to do/where to go for the night. read more

It's the perfect place for a group of people as they have dozens of different food & dessert stalls for every type of food preference. We were in town for my birthday (March 14) and was looking for some fun things to do since we were assuming most places would be celebrating for St. Patrick's Day! Come to find that Armature Works (on its own already seems like a fun place) was having a Pickle Fest! And it's also on the river, which was dyed green! On arrival, it was VERY busy but we were able to find parking pretty quickly and just walked over. The bars and food spots were all busy was well, but everything moved and felt pretty organized. I got a slice of Pickle Pizza at The Fold and it was SO good. I had never had a pickle pizza before and now that's all I want lol! There was good music playing, nice people, people with dogs and kids - it was a pretty nice afternoon! Would definitely like to come back when there isn't anything going on so we can check out more of the area and food spots. We'll be back for sure! read more

Armature Works has plenty to offer for everyone! It's a large food hall with about 10-15 different vendors offering a wide variety of food, including Greek, sushi, pizza, BBQ, and more. There are also three bars: a rooftop bar called M.Bird, one located in the main thoroughfare, and a champagne bar on the patio. In addition, they have three full-service sit-down restaurants and a private event space. Seating is open, so once you order and receive your food, you'll need to find a table. There's also a large outdoor area with yard games and plenty of seating, all located right along the river. Parking is available on the street, or you can use one of their two large paid parking lots, so be prepared to pay for parking. I definitely recommend Armature Works when you can't make up your mind on what to eat or are looking for a fun place to meet up with family or friends, it's always a great time! read more

You'll see moms with strollers, digital nomads on their third cold brew, and at least one man in a linen shirt named River playing chess by himself. The food hall? Great hot spot in DT Tampa that's always lively and has a little something for everyone! Yeah, parking can be an issue, especially if you want to park close by, but for me, I plan my day coming out here knowing that I'm going to go out for a long walk with my dog, and depending on the weather, it's actually quite pleasant and enjoyable. Now is a great time to go, whether in the morning, afternoon, or evening before its too hot. There's a very wide array of restaurants available, and you can spend a long time looking over your choices. Since Armature Works has first opened, I have tried a lot of places, some of which have been gone by now. Me, I personally love Dal Moro's Pasta to go (check out my review) and Chill Bros Ice Cream (also with a separate review). Armature Works is a great venue to taste and savor it all, and even though it's almost always packed, you can always find seating, both inside and outside. Anywhere you go you can't get a bad spot. Just be sure to check out the calendar to be sure it's no so crowded that you can't get a spot, because there's often live entertainment outside even when there's no special occasion. The place is overall kept clean, and the service is friendly. They are also dog-friendly, so this is a top choice for me to spend a special day with my dog. This place was so clean, inviting, and had great energy. The vendors are very friendly and open to answer any questions about the menu. It was my first visit and it was really hard to choose which food stall to get lunch from but we ended up at the Empanada stall. They had some fun flavors and we tried each of them. I personally liked the fresh prince and the chicken one. The Tampa empanada tasted very similar to the burger one because of the strong pickle flavor. I loved the queso and pico together. Overall everything was good. It's definitely a great place to hangout and grab food and drinks. Me and my boyfriend enjoyed some sangrias from another restaurant stall. I can't remember what it was called but the drinks were delicious and had a kick of liquor. We played checkers outside until we couldn't stand the heat. This is a very well made, well laid out food hall! It's massive, with some fun photo moments and great restaurants! There's good diversity and lots of parking! It's also an event venue which I thought was pretty cool. I love all the activities you could get into while there, like the large chess and other things. I tried 3 businesses inside. The Flan Factory, The Fold and The ice cream shop. I wasn't impressed at all. The fold offered $2 slices at the end of the night and it was horrible, it should honestly be free or for the homeless. I was there 1 hour before closing and they obviously weren't making new slices LOL. I said for $2 i'll try. The flan factory, we ordered the cuban, mango and hibiscus agua frescas and crab devils. The pork was delicious in the Cuban but the sandwich as a whole was very underwhelming, and I ended up tossing it. The agua frescas were a 10/10 and the crab devils I didn't try. They didn't look appetizing to me. We were asking questions about the menu and the cashier about the crab devils to get an idea of what it was; She's like "I can't tell you our recipe" I busted into laughter because what do you do when people have allergies?! She had a weird attitude and acted like she didn't want to answer anything we asked. Overall, this food hall is underwhelming and the one place I wanted to visit closed early ugh! read more
