I had an extremely disappointing experience at this Claire's in Southland Mall. According to the store's posted hours, they close at 7:00 PM. My daughter and I returned specifically to purchase an item we had seen the previous day, so we knew exactly what we wanted and would have been in and out quickly. We arrived approximately 12-13 minutes before closing, but the security gate was already completely down. I could clearly see the employee at the register closing out the register. We knocked to get her attention, and she looked directly up at us but chose to ignore us and continued what she was doing. I also have timestamped photos showing that the store was closed before 7:00 PM, as well as the employee looking up after we knocked. None of the surrounding stores were closed yet, which made the situation even more frustrating. If the posted closing time is 7:00 PM, customers should be able to enter and make a quick purchase until that time. Closing nearly 15 minutes early and refusing to even acknowledge a customer standing outside is completely unprofessional. After reading the existing reviews for this location, it seems this may not be an isolated issue. Management and corporate need to seriously address the customer service and operating practices at this store. My daughter and I left disappointed and took our business elsewhere. Customers should not be ignored or turned away before the posted closing time, especially when there is clear timestamped documentation showing exactly what happened. read more

I barely walked in for a split second with the intent to get my daughters ears pierced and was trying to show my daughter the earring selection and the lady with the glasses come to find it might be the manager just snapped at us like we were her kids. Very rude could've talked to us like we were actual paying customers. We just ended up walking out won't be returning anymore. My son and I stopped by here on Thurs. Dec 26th as we went to the mall to participate in the after Christmas shopping, mainly for Bath and Body Works semi-annual sale which started on Thursday. We stopped by this store around 1pm. We were greeted by two ladies: a younger female and an older female who might be the manager. Even though we were greeted, we noticed the rudeness in the tones of their voices and had some sort of attitude towards us. There was a rack of earrings with a big sign on top of the rack that everything was $1. But the younger lady tells me that only the ones with round red stickers are $1 and that the ones without the stickers are regularly priced. It would only make sense if they had put the non-sale earrings in another part of the store to avoid confusion but whatever. When we were paying, I heard the cashier ask the person ahead of us if they wanted to sign up for some type of store membership but they never asked me. The place had only a handful of customers inside but they acted like they wish nobody was there and that we are there to bother them by coming in to shop. The older female employee, maybe manager, had more of an attitude than the younger one. Definitely not coming back here again. read more

Manager there is the rudest lady ever I can tell by the other reviews she doesn't care about her job. I had called about a sale that was going on and the lady on the phone said they were doing it I arrive and at checkout I try to do the sale and the Manager lady comes over and says they aren't doing it and I stated that I called over the phone and asked about it and because they said yea I came on down and she said no. I politely stated that she should let her employees know not to give false information and she snapped. When we asked her about piercings she wouldn't tell me the price of the earrings. She expected us to select a pair without knowing the price. She was just straight up rude for no reason. The lady that opened the store at 11:30 today 8/9/22 was very unprofessional the store opens @ 11 according to google I was there a few minutes before 11 and I waited along two ladies who wanted to get there daughters ears pierced there was no sign on the door stated she will be opening late I stood in front of the store and called and when she answer I ask what time are you opening her reply was I don't know when she did open at 11:30 I told her she should have put a sign on the roll door letting customers know short staff and there no ETA on when the store was going open that's the professional way to do it she immediately got an attitude si I ask her can she help me the the nose jewelry she did not get get off the stool to help she sat on the stool with here the ear piercing customers just walk out and so did I I went to another store and the lady had very good customer service I contacted the 1800 number just waiting for someone to call me me back read more

At the end of the ear piercing they charged my daughter $140. Spoke to the manager and she said it's checked out and she doesn't care she has worked there for 8 years and no one cares. So there is no one to complain to because no one cares. But seeing the yelp is a reflection of that. Terrible customer service. working here was a pain. check the reviews for the pink haired girl and the piercing systems being down. i worked practically everyday while being there from opening to closing with ONE other co-worker or completely by myself. i understand that you would have liked to been greeted but please understand that employees are going to have rough days/not be 100% perfect so there isn't a need to write a whole review on that. you're acting as if i refused service to you or something. if you had a question i would have gladly helped you. for the piercing systems being down i do not care enough to lie. our piercings do not go through the register but through an app on a tablet that always freezes. this isn't about you or your baby !! you should have just asked if it bothered you that much !! seriously don't work here all you get are people who want to start arguments or try to scam you. you have 10 people in a row asking for piercings who throw a fit when it takes longer than 5 minutes when the agreement form says 30 minutes !! and while your doing that don't forget the register and the 7 boxes of shipment !! everything is a mess management is terrible this job took 15 years off my lifespan. read more

Brand new ear piercing...the diamond came out in less than a week I call Clair's it's nothing they can do. These earrings cost $70 bucks. Don't shop at Claire's it's very unprofessional when it comes to business. I went here with my family on the 10th. My wife bought 2 headbands. As another reviewer states, "a nice selection of accessories" are sold here. It was busy inside, and so we went here twice (too many people were in my wife's way the first time). The headbands were $3.50 each. My wife only spent $5.72, though, because the 2nd headband was half off. Nice. There were at least 3 employees around. They were all friendly, and the cashiers were fairly quick. A blond employee was around us a bit. She was straightening up some items, but she may have also been looking to see if I was going to steal some earrings. o_O My wife was annoyed by the customers in her way. She was also turned off by this young woman who tried on a bunch of headbands (I understood). Safety First: I chuckled a little when an employee used a step stool to shelve some items about a foot above her head (the step stool wasn't really needed). Cell phone cases can be found here. The one I looked at was only $8. Keep in mind, though, that you get what you pay for. The store was clean. There could be more room to move around. This place has horrible customer service. Workers follow you around like a criminal. My daughter who is 7 was looking at the merchandise and an employee wouldn't even allow her to grab the stuff and look. Horrible I used to enjoy coming to this store, now I hate it. Went in yesterday cause my son wanted his ears pierced and they refused because the two associates who were working didn't believe I was the parent. I'm a young mother with good genes and don't look my age at all. After expressing I had my son at a young age, so he looks more like my brother than my son and Even after being carded they refused to do the piercing. I ended up walking out since fighting for my consumer rights in the store wasn't worth the audience. I already made a complaint to corporate and to BBB about this matter. How can two ignorant female associates question someone's parenthood and refuse service because of looks. You saw my ID, what more did you F'n need?! Small store with lots of accessories: headbands, hair ties, clips, earrings, necklaces, tights, bracelets and even make up... however, the make up I was looking for was glittery eye shadow and almost everything they had there was already opened and fingered with by girls without manners and probably nasty little digits.
