I reached out to so many piercing shops trying to find a place that was affordable, clean, & sterile, & Orbit had the best prices by far. They include free jewelry with every piercing (or you can upgrade for a little charge) & they have so many different Jewelry options to choose from. The staff was super friendly & made me feel welcome the second I walked in. The vibe was amazing, & the fact that they're walk-in friendly makes it even better. Whether you're looking to get pierced, shop for jewelry, or pick up skateboard gear, Orbit is definitely the place to-go !! It was my daughter's birthday, and we decided to bring her in to get her very first skateboard, best decision ever! From the moment we walked in, Antonio made us feel so welcome. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and took the time to help my daughter design the perfect skateboard. They had so many awesome deck designs to choose from, a great selection of wheels, and tons of fun stickers that made the whole experience even more exciting for her. While we were waiting for everything to be put together, I believe the manager came out and was just as friendly. He welcomed us and made us feel right at home, which really added to the overall experience. One thing that really stood out to me was a sign about rewarding kids for getting good grades. I thought it was such a cool idea that they encourage kids by letting them earn free skateboard parts and other goodies. I love seeing businesses invest in their community like that. I was looking for a specific brand and model of inline skates as a gift and could not find it locally or online. The closest was a retailer based in Canada. I reached out to Orbit just to see if they had inline skates or could order the specific ones I was looking for. Sal reached out via email and text and was able to check with his supplier and found them! They were available for pickup within a week! I'd never been to Orbit but stopped by to pick up the order. I've been eager to relearn to skateboard for a long time and finally decided to give it a go! I had stopped skating when I was 12, and being more than twice that age today and to get back on the board felt exciting. I was warmly welcomed and helped by Keanu. I was looking for a board to do some casual cruising around in and he recommended me a few boards to try. Keanu was knowledgeable and encouraging to me. My toddler has recently taken great interest in skateboarding so we were very excited to visit Orbit today! Keanu was amazing at advising the proper size and accompanying parts for Onyx's new board. He professionally assembled Onyx's board and also does fitting for protective gear! Keanu's customer service is top tier and he really makes the whole skate world very inviting, he also directed us to Rob's Skate Academy and we absolutely cannot wait to check it out. There's no doubt we'll be back to Orbit to update Keanu on Onyx's progress (and for more stickers)! So happy we found this place on yelp. Close to home and such a cool experience. Typically you see pricing parlors attached to tattoo parlors so I was happy to see this hybrid piercing skate shop. They have this down to a science we came in and were greeted within minutes. Picked what we wanted paid and waited. It was packed for a Sunday. The whole process was 1 hour. And for a pair of Tragus, and 2 pairs of lob piercings the grand total was $270 plus tip so that brought the total to $300. I was a little disappointed that I was rung up for jewelry that they ended up not having in stock. So I had to settle for cheaper jewelry but since I already paid, I had to bring up the fact that it was an $8 difference. The piercer said she could do store credit but it was not initiated when the issue arose. I ended up just leaving after the piercings forfeiting my store credit. I had all 4 of my kids and the younger two were getting antsy so it was whatever at that point. Piercer was super gentle, knowledgeable and informative. Process went very smooth and effortlessly, she made it look easy. Highly recommend this place especially if you have kids. They let my 2 girls pull up their infinite campus and verified what they needed to and it was that simple. Will definitely be back for more piercings in the future. read more

Out of my 24 piercings, I got 21 of my piercings done here at Orbit (since 2022) and honestly I don't trust any other piercing spot other than Orbit. The aesthetics of the shop itself is already enticing but what I appreciate most are the staff who help you out. I've seen this store super busy and they still show the same kindness to their customers when they're not as busy. Love, love, love this place. Got all my piercings here (aside from lower lobes). They guarantee their jewlery for life and change out jewelry for free. I just wish they were all on the same page with the process. Alex and Diane always clean the area and use lubricant beforehand, while others dont. I took my two daughters, ages 21 and 16, to get early-birthday presents -- a belly button piercing for my older girl and a nose ring for my baby. It couldn't have gone more smoothly. The front desk was fast, professional, and efficient, even though the shop quickly filled up with other shoppers. Parking here is off the main street and can be hard to find. This place has been here forever, this is where I came for my first monroe back in 2006! We came here on a busy Friday night, but service was flowing. The customer service here is excellent! Friendly helpful staff! The guy who first helped us showed us what we were looking for and put our name on the list to have jewelry replacement. Then while browsing another person approached us and asked if we were doing okay. They had tons of jewelry options to choose from and the pricing is great! Kristin who was the one to do our jewelry change approached us when she was ready and she made it quick smooth and easy. This is a sad day for a lot of us loyal customers. Recently I have learned that Sal ripped off a local artist art and his friend, just so he can save some money. I have spoken to Sal and purchased many items from him in the past 3 years so it shocked me hearing about how shady he really is. He asked a local artist for a mural design and instead of using that same artist to paint their design he stole their art and hired someone cheaper to paint the mural on his new store in Castro valley. He not only stole the designed he also ghosted the artist and her husband (husband is a friend of Sal, who helped Sal open his first store)...When Sal was confronted by the artist husband all Sal did was make excuses and said was "it wasn't personal...." If he treats his friend like this, imagine how he see us customers.... read more

The piercers are nice, I did buy a nose stud, and they told me it was real gold. I wore it for a year, cleaned it regularly but one day I realized it was not real gold. I was greeted by Antonio, who immediately brought enthusiasm and patience to the table. Coming from someone who skated in the early 2000s, it was refreshing to see that the culture is not only alive in San Leandro--but thriving. As both a sneakerhead and skater, I have to give credit where it's due: Orbit really shows love to all skaters, especially those who are often overlooked in sizing and selection. Where to start with this lovely individual named Gray that I had the pleasure with meeting today, Monday, June 1st at around 11:45am...I had about four piercings and two were fine yet the other two on the other side weren't when it came to the backings! The staff is super friendly and accommodating. I went on a Saturday. My 9 year old wanted to get her ears pierced again. We had her ears pierced a few years back from Clair's. Those did not turn out so well. Cris from orbits did such a great job a my kids ear piercing that I came back a few days later for myself. They helped me remove my lower back dermal's I've had for over 15 years. They did excellent with the dermal removal as well. Highly recommend!!!! read more

At the counter, we were greeted warmly, asked some clarifying questions, and given a form to fill out. The staff thoroughly explained the procedure, aftercare, and the types of jewelry they use, even specifying the metal to alleviate any concerns. The piercer was clearly an expert, efficiently and painlessly piercing six ear lobes in no time. We even received a discount on the sixth piercing!
