Agnes and her coworker (didn't get her name) greeted us right off the bat and welcomed us in. They let us know that the store has a promotion for 50% off the whole store with ear piercings. Well what do u know that's what we came in for. Agnes was so thorough about explaining the process from start to finish. First we picked out which jewelry we would like to be pierced with and she pulled them out from the drawer. We filled out our consent forms (and she checked our IDs) as she went through and explained how to care for our piercings and of course it was different for us because of the area in which we got our piercings (his earlobe and both my cartlidges). She expained the healing times and process for both and asked if we had any questions. Agnes cleaned the area we were getting pierced (with an alcohol swab front and back a couple of times), marked the piercing spot and off to the piercing races we go went. It was fairly quick for him because it was one piercing in his lobe. But I can't just be a normal human being so of course I had to get both my cartlidges done, the first one was easy peasy. The second one just hurt more, but not enough to not want to come back for my future piercings. And I will definitely be asking for Agnes. She was generous with her time and care of our piercings. She was kind and we laughed and it made it all a lot easier. After we were all done she went through the healing and caring process again to make sure we understood everything and asked again if we had any more questions. Overall it was a very great experience, thanks to Agnes. The store was fully stocked with all kinds of jewelry, lotions, lip balms, key chains, charms, hair accessories and a lot more. Their were so many earring options, flat back, silver, gold, stainless steel, all the gauge sizes, and I cant wait to change out my earrings and all my future piercings are on my calendar....but we must wait until the piercings are healed. I too, almost went to the Southbay Galleria Claire's after reading past reviews. I am so glad my son convinced me to have our own experience. I took my son to get a piercing for one of his ears and after observing how Rosemary was so thorough, very clean with sanitation, and she was a complete jewel from finish to end. I recently visited Claire's and had a very disappointing experience with one of the employees. From the moment I walked in, the employee seemed disinterested and unapproachable. When I asked for assistance, they responded with a condescending tone and were visibly annoyed by my questions. She made me and my sister ugly faces while shopping there. When we finished checking out we noticed she didn't even offer or give us a bag. And when I went to go ask for one she said I had to make a purchase in order to get one with attitude and a weird face. I'm not sure what her name was because she didn't have no name tag or anything but it was Friday January 3rd, around 7:30pm. She had a horrible set of makeup done, that's all I can really remember. Their lack of professionalism and courtesy made the shopping experience quite unpleasant. I hope Claire's addresses this issue to ensure better customer service in the future. read more

Pick it, load it and pop it! I love ears piercing! It is orthodox for me to get my ears piercing from Claire's and The Icing! I love their selection of earrings​ and the price is fair dependent on the earrings. (It is not actually free, you are paying for the service with the piercings). Unfortunately, I went here on a Thursday and it was packed. For the first time, I had to wait in line until it was my turn to get my piercings. Usually, ​it is empty at most Claire's, but this one was packed with customers and I felt that everyone wanted to get their ears pierce today. I was going to leave since I was waiting for 5 minutes until someone finally gave me a form to fill out. Since I have done this many time, I knew the procedures of the form and what I needed to pay since it was for my cartilage, there was an extra fee of $3. There was​ 2 store associate at the time. The manager was piercing the two customer's ears that were ahead of me in line. Waiting roughly more than 35 minutes later, it was finally my turn. I thought I would get my ears pierce by the other person who seems to know what she is doing. But no, another young sales associate came to work and after clocking in, she was asked to pierce my ears. I was not overthrown by her outfit ​because a casual store like Claire's I don't think requires a formal dress code. But she had a hickey​ on her neck and it was very distracting. Even though she tried to cover it with makeup, it was still very apparent. She was nice in general but what I did not like was that she uses the sanitation wipe and wipe the counter first, then take the same exact wipe and wipe the piercing device. That is a complete no! You should use two different wipes for two different things​! And why would you go wipe a dirty counter and then use the wipe to clean the device! It did not make any sense to me why she would do that. I really hope they retrain her again because it is very unsanitized​! I did not have a good experience this time, and I felt very uncomfortable. I wish someone else would have pierced​ my ears, or else I would go to another location. But overall 2 stars because she got the job done. The waiting time and cleanliness are​ just too overwhelming and I was not too pleased. read more

It's a fun store with cute items and you can definitely pick up a couple things that are sure to make you smile. She could have said they were closed and charged me an additional $32 but she did not . You always feel welcome and respected at this store. When you walk in, they say hello and welcome to Claire's and if they see that you are carrying a lot of stuff, they are very thoughtful and sweet and give you a basket. I came here to get a piercing. About a month later it got infected. I have over 15 piercings and I always take care of them and I make sure they do not get durty. I have never had a piercing get infected. She should have washed her hands before grabbing her gloves, but she never did. Now I'm spending the night in urgent care. read more

I literally went in there to just get some nails and maybe an accessory for a costume party and this lady kept breathing down my neck acting like I was stealing! She didn't act that way with anyone else in the store and it's quite frustrating. Like I should feel comfortable in the any shopping environment. I walked out because I could just feel her watching me and it was so annoying! Like do your job selling accessories stop breathing down my neck. My niece is a huge JoJo Siwa fan so to say we have spent hundreds of dollars at this location over the last 6 months would be putting it mildly. One of the items we purchased was a JoJo digital watch about 2 weeks ago. When I came into the store for simple directions on how to change the time I was shunned away by a store employee named Mary Lou. With my 6 year old niece by my side holding the watch in hand, Mary Lou told us "sorry I can't help you, the watch came with directions" when I replied "so you can't assist us with this?, you still carry the very same watch in you're store" she rolled her eyes and turned her back. Mind you, on this day there was no line at the cash register when we were there. It wasn't until another employee witnessed how awful Mary Lou's horrific behavior was, that she stepped in to assist. This young lady was kind enough to show us how to reset the time. The process took less than 2 minutes in its entirety. I am a good customer of this store and deserve much better customer service than I did on 3.17.2018. I could understand if the store was filled with customers and lines were crazy long but like I said, there was nobody in line when I walked up and maybe 2 lookie-loo's walking around. I'm also extremely disappointed that the Claire's team would place Mary-Lou in a management position to run their business when she treats customers as more of an inconvenience. This woman could use some coaching on customer relations. I strongly welcome the Claire's Company to contact me so I can share my personal experience about this emloyee to ensure this doesn't happen to anyone else.
