I was pleased to see that the ladies in here, although different salespeople from years ago, were still friendly and not snobby at all. I walked in quite late one evening (after 8pm) and was greeted and helped to look at several different purses. The salesperson listened to what my needs were and showed we several purses in the realm of what I was looking for. She didn't go for the most expensive or stuff that I obviously wouldn't use, she actually listened... it was a good shopping experience, which is rare for me! I didn't end up purchasing here, but I was impressed with their attitude. The salesperson said that I shouldn't settle which is true. So, I kept on looking. I appreciated her candor and will always make Kate Spade a part of my shopping for purses, wallets, and other lovely accessories in the future.

I love this store, and for the most part, the girls here are not only helpful, but also adorable looking. There are two reasons why I am giving this place three stars instead of five.. 1. On my last trip to the store, I was looking for a dress to wear for a particular occasion, they REALLY pushed me to buy the most expensive dress in the line, which wouldn't have been a problem, if only it had been flattering on me. They kept telling me how great it was, and it's hard to not believe it when you are the only customer in the store and all three ladies are telling you it's flattering. When I got home and tried it on my own, I realized it made me look like a sausage. Why couldn't they just be honest? So what if I didn't buy that particular dress and bought the more flattering, cheaper one? I would have trusted them much more. Needless to say, I returned it. 2. I have found that the prices at the KS store are higher than at Neiman's and sometimes Saks. It isn't that the prices are generally different, but the styles go on sale up to 2 months before at the large department stores. So if you buy shoes/a dress/accessories midway through the season (not at the end), you may get up to 40% off by just buying it from Neiman's. Like I said, this store is adorable, and most other times everyone has been incredibly helpful, but I'm not sure this is going to be my first stop for Kate Spade anymore.

This new location is over on the corner of Post Oak Blvd. and Westheimer Rd. in the Grand Lux shopping center next to Moxies. Every time I'm at James Avery I feel like a kid in a toy store picking toys and not being able to figure out which ones I want. The service is always good here. Holiday season and days like mother's day can get busy. But on regular days the wait isn't that bad. And the turn around time is usually the same day for them to attach your charms. Check them out. The well organized store and happy associates made you want to lift the glass yo experience the smells of their signature candles. Although , a little more thanI typically spend for candles I could tell their thoughtfully thought out description on each one was close to the actual smell. Several people there made purchases while we were there so I think this store might do well and will give a 2nd look as the holidays approach.

However, the one thing they did not "got" was the thing I came in for- giant friendship bracelet charms. Although the trip was not what I expected, team members were ample, and I developed a new desire to add wood burning to my list of skills because yes, you apparently can in fact buy a creative wood burner tool for 64.99.
