I recently went on a purse shopping trip and shopping is NOT something I enjoy. I purchased a Kate Spade bag at this store many years ago and made a return visit as part of my trip. I was pleased to see that the ladies in here, although different salespeople from years ago, were still friendly and not snobby at all. I walked in quite late one evening (after 8pm) and was greeted and helped to look at several different purses. The salesperson listened to what my needs were and showed we several purses in the realm of what I was looking for. She didn't go for the most expensive or stuff that I obviously wouldn't use, she actually listened... it was a good shopping experience, which is rare for me! I didn't end up purchasing here, but I was impressed with their attitude. The salesperson said that I shouldn't settle which is true. So, I kept on looking. I appreciated her candor and will always make Kate Spade a part of my shopping for purses, wallets, and other lovely accessories in the future. read more

I have ALWAYS been a Kate Spade fan. I own too much Kate Spade for my own good, between the clothes, the shoes and the bags, not to mention the adorable costume jewelry, I can't get enough. I love this store, and for the most part, the girls here are not only helpful, but also adorable looking. There are two reasons why I am giving this place three stars instead of five.. 1. On my last trip to the store, I was looking for a dress to wear for a particular occasion, they REALLY pushed me to buy the most expensive dress in the line, which wouldn't have been a problem, if only it had been flattering on me. They kept telling me how great it was, and it's hard to not believe it when you are the only customer in the store and all three ladies are telling you it's flattering. When I got home and tried it on my own, I realized it made me look like a sausage. Why couldn't they just be honest? So what if I didn't buy that particular dress and bought the more flattering, cheaper one? I would have trusted them much more. Needless to say, I returned it. 2. I have found that the prices at the KS store are higher than at Neiman's and sometimes Saks. It isn't that the prices are generally different, but the styles go on sale up to 2 months before at the large department stores. So if you buy shoes/a dress/accessories midway through the season (not at the end), you may get up to 40% off by just buying it from Neiman's. Like I said, this store is adorable, and most other times everyone has been incredibly helpful, but I'm not sure this is going to be my first stop for Kate Spade anymore. read more

I hate high-end shopping. I really do. But I'm seriously impressed. Where was all snootiness? All the intimidating velvet-lined shelves and plush carpeting? Or to sum it all up, where's all that douchebag attitude and ambiance that's usually associated with high-end shopping? (see my review for Louis Vuitton. Ick) Is this a trick?? But alas, it wasn't a trick. I didn't even buy anything here. And the staff was still pleasant and friendly. I walked in because one of my co-workers had a cute Kate Spade wallet, and every time I saw any of my patients carrying a cute wallet that caught my eye, it always ended up being a Kate Spade. I'm due for a new one anyway, so I decided to suck it up and try to brave the impending sense of judgment and elitism that's usually associated with high-end brands. I was met with a cute boutique with lots of awesome styles of shoes, purses, and wallets. Even the home decor items were cute. No flashy mirrors, no velvet linings, no special lighting to make you feel poor and ugly. The staff was dressed casually but stylish, no intimidating dress suits here. When I asked the girl to see some of the wallets, she gladly helped me out and showed me some of the other styles that were in stock, instead of the usual act that I see from sales associates where they unlock the glass case, all while impatiently waiting so they can get back to texting their buddies their blackberries. And the biggest shocker: when I made it apparent that I was just browsing and not looking to drop hundreds quite yet on a wallet (it was an extremely cute one, just not quite that PERFECT one that I'd be willing to drop hundreds on), the staff was STILL friendly with me while I browsed through the rest of the store. I may not have found my perfect wallet at Kate Spade yet, but the friendly staff and awesome styles will definitely call back to me at some point or another. On the other hand, I DO see that there's some new designs out now (and some that might end up being THE wallet for me), so I JUST might have to go back soon... read more

I've never really shopped here before but i just walked in one day to see what they had. The employees here were all very nice and not at all stuck up like at most high end stores in the mall. Grecia T helped me and she was awesome!!! She made my shopping experience so fun and easy. She offered many different options but never pushed anything on me and knew all the prices for each item without having to look. She was sweet and helpful and offered to hold my items so i could shop. I dont know if they get commission or not, but she definitely has excellent customer service and I will look for her whenever I go back. read more

Everyone in the store was very helpful. I stopped in for the first time to purchase a gift and the clerk as attentive and answered all my questions. She was informative about the online products vs the store products and when they would anticipate received more inventory. read more

Great customer service. Quick and easy. Placed an order on the phone for three similar link bracelets. I talked to Chelsea who was really nice and friendly. Unfortunately they delivered the wrong items, but one call later and Chelsea fixed the situation and I got the requested items the following day. Whoo-hoo! read more

Kate Spade has always been a favorite of mine, not only because of the clothes but also because of the employees! Many times with high-end brands I find the employees to be snobbish, or not ask if I need help ever (I can think of a few stores). However, when I walk into Kate I'm greeted by at least 2 adorable, stylish girls giving me advice and help on anything I need. Even when I come in just to browse, they are always kind and wanting to help. I also don't feel like they push their merchandise on me, which is always refreshing. I'll pick Kate Spade of any other any day. read more

Walked in a couple days ago around 6pm and was NOT greeted. The young lady did not acknowledge my presence until I asked for the price on a bag. It was only one customer in the store, so there was no one keeping her busy. I walked around in the store looking for something in specific, but I wasn't asked any questions as far as did I know what I was looking for or anything! I love Kate Spade, but this is BAD for the brand. I finally walked out and wasn't even told thank you, or have a good day! I am in customer service myself, and I was completely turned off. Maybe there needs to be more customer service training. read more

Did not even acknowledge me when I walked in, no greeting or anything, did not even bother to tell me the sales they had going on. I went all the way to the back to find the sales items and phone cases (which I was originally planning to buy) and the employees just carried on with their conversation. (still non existent to them) Another customer walked in blonde white woman, greeted her told her about the sales and everything, I'm guessing because she looked like she had money. lol Anyways the only thing that one of the employees said to me as I was making my purchase was "I love that wallet" which was one of the wallets I was purchasing lol I still decided to make my purchase since I would not have time to come back anytime soon lol read more

Mehhhhhh I don't understand their employees here. Came in looking for a birthday present, and after being sold an item I thought was sealed and brand new. Only to discover that this was the model item and not a brand new one. Being as this was a present and not for myself I was not happy with purchasing something that looked like it was stained from handprints and various customers that just browse through it. I went back and specified that I want a sealed item as this is for a present and was informed that they no longer have this specific item brand new.... So why was I not informed of that? After specifying to the sells man that this was a gift they stated that there was nothing they can do for except wrap the item in a ziploc bag!! Are you kidding me?!!?! Thankfully the Kate Spade on Drexel in Highland Village exists and went above and beyond in helping me exchange the item for a brand new sealed one and also gift wrapped it for me very beautifully. read more
