    My outstanding lunch!

2 Michigan's, fries, and a bottle of water. How could you go wrong? This is a great place to go on Rt 9. Excellent service by hard working and personable staff! Always enjoy stopping here when in town!

Simple hotdog / burger place with fast friendly service. There is more than just meat on the menu but if you're looking for a salad, you're in the wrong spot. I loved the unique diner with carhop service. Such a charming place to get a Michigan Hotdog

A Plattsburgh staple...old school and original hot dog stand. Wonderful service. And apparently the OG for a Michigan Hot Dog...only found and originated in Plattsburgh.

Delicious steamed hot dog on a soft hot dog bun. As a little mustard, some chopped onions and DELICIOUS meat sauce and you why a Clare & Carl's Texas Red Hot. Quick, courteous service. A few seats inside and a few seats outside. I can eat here every day.

A Texas Red Hot, made Michigan-style, sold in New York. Mmmmkkkay. So yummy!!!

The building tilts. It's a cash-only dive with limited indoor seating, but lots of outdoor seating, and they were OK with us having a dog that day outside because there was no one else there. This "hotdog stand" is dangerously close to my best friends house, so we made the three minute walk over there. I loved, loved, LOVED eating my two Texas red hots, Michigan-style, in Plattsburgh, New York. What a geographical sandwich. The diced onions were flavorful but mild, and I loved the chewy, steamed fluffy buns and the surprisingly tender hot dogs. I really liked the texture of the meat sauce, it was tender and soft and slow simmered. I might've preferred the sauce a little spicier, but I understand why they would've kept it on the mild side to make it more family-friendly. It was nothing that an extra swirl of extra-spicy mustard couldn't fix. I wasn't that hungry, so I didn't order fries. However, once I started chowing down on those delectable dogs it took me no time to finish both of them. Did I mention, they are only $2.10 a piece? It is a good thing that this hot dog stand is not anywhere close to where I live, I could probably eat those things at least once a week! What's funny is, in Cincinnati they have coneys, but I do not like Cincinnati style chili. This chili dog sauce was nothing like Cincinnati-style sauce, rather it was savory, thick enough to eat with a fork, and yummy (and I prefer my chili dogs without that big glob of orange cheese on top, which is a Cincinnati thing as well, I think).

    Michigan with onions.

Best red hots. Best burgers. Friendly service. Whenever I come to the North Country I have to stop at Clare and Carl's.

We both had Selection 1 (2 steamed hot dogs all dressed, a huge bag of Quebec style french fries and a large drink). It wasn't very busy so we didn't have to wait long to order and receive our food. If you're from Montréal or somewhere in the Province de Québec, Lafleur's has been a go-to for generations. It's not everybody's choice for lunch or dinner, but they do serve Poutine if that is your desire. It's just not for me.

Location: West island off of hymus and sources pretty busy and always a line up through the door. Service : not very amicable but super efficient.. staff just wants to get you out of there and take a 5 min breather after a crazy rush Food: it's Okay but can't expect more for what you pay for. I enjoyed the Michigan's in particular the sauce was great but the bun was stale. I love my dogs dirtyyy and drenched in the sauce so unfortunately i found it wasn't drenched enough quite bland the sauce .. not the best michigans I've had they're tiny compared to other places but again can't expect much for 1,50$ a Michigan.. the all dressed steamy was ok just tiny again Overall, if you're hungry and want something fast and filling Lafleur's is an option but it's not the best option for quality and food.. The only good thing is the price lol it's still a good spot for a snack
