    Towel origami

Three stars is generous of me. It probably would have been a solid three stars if what we were welcomed with upon arrival didn't occur. I drop the girlfriend off at the lobby to check in. She is immediately met by a middle aged couple smoking on a bench by the door. No problem except they probably had a combined BAC of .50 or higher. The male said something and gestured toward her. This continued with everyone who walked by including two 13 year old girls. After a bit they both started singing or shrieking (I couldn't tell which) and stumbled back in the bar where I'm sure they continued to be over-served. The desk clerk didn't care when informed. A short while after getting to our room, we hear a stampede going across the upper level breezeway. Didn't think a lot of it but later figured they were probably running from the cops, as I went out to the convenience store shortly after to find four police cruisers scattered about the parking lot. They had a dude in the back of one of the cars. Was not the guy from earlier. As for the room, we were welcomed by some towel origami (see photo) on the bed with a handwritten note from the housekeeping staff welcoming us and hoping we have a good stay. The rooms are older and the bathroom was full of beat up green subway tile. It was clean for the most part. There was a flat screen with cable, fridge and iron. The bed seems comfortable but I haven't slept in it yet. I'll update if it totally sucks. I understand the pool is pretty cool and I see ads for their restaurant touting $5 AYCE meals. We won't be trying those out. We needed a one nighter, so we rolled the dice with an online mystery deal for around $50 (Hotwire). Not worth more than that. We won't stay here again, though, deal or not. Gave an extra star as the room was ok and they put us at the end of the complex away from the noise of the drunken shenanigans by the lobby (well, mostly).

I like this place a lot. The rooms are clean. The wireless Internet is fast and reliable. I never had a bad experience with any Holiday Inn. The quality and customer service is consistent across the U.S.. The bathroom was fine. There was nothing broken or in disrepair. I slept well. They had enough electrical outlets for the iphone, ipod, etc..

This was not the best (5 star) hotel in the area, nor was it the worst (0 star) hotel in the area. I was traveling with a co-worker and we wanted to check in early, around 2:00pm. The front desk said they only had one room available for check-in, despite the fact that not 20 minutes later another couple checked in just fine. Regardless, the restaurant in the lobby was decent food - the waitress stayed open in the afternoon to allow me to have lunch, while my co-worker checked in. There are no elevators. It was great, and surprising that they had an iMac in the lobby! There is a good selection of items for sale in the little shop, however they sell frozen food - but there is not microwave or refrigerator in the rooms that I could see. They also don't have CNN on the TVs. This was my first stay in the area, it won't be my last - but there is nicer hotels in the area - if you just look for them!

Rooms were decent. Could use a few updates and some of the furniture needed cleaning. I gave an extra star because this was the best breakfast I have ever had at a hotel. You are served in restaurant in hotel lobby and food was delicious. Also, pool area is huge and lobby is very nice.

Lovely mustard colored bathroom tile from the 70's.

Never again will I stay at this so-called hotel! Our hottest water setting is lukewarm, the pillows are as big as a baseball mitt, they didn't even bring us clean towels when they clean the room, which they really didn't even clean. It was more like they threw our comforter back on the bed and that was it. Horrible customer service, popcorn ceilings, and just an overall unclean feeling throughout the whole hotel. I would have given it a half star rating if it would have been an option.

This was a great place to stay. So what you get versus what you pay it's a great deal. I really loved the bear eating the fish today.

Wifi was broken, not "spotty" as was claimed when we checked in. Would have gone elsewhere had they been honest.

There is a sign on the bed that says to remove bedding before lying on it. When I did, I was bombarded with the scent of Tide. They did offer us another room and offered for the owner to bring in other sheets. When we got to the second room smelled of the chemical laundry soap upon entry. They graciously refunded our room. I was very disappointed we didn't get to experience this place. The one star is because when I complained, the clerk said they use the scented laundry soapbecause of complaints of unscented sheets. Those who are allergic/sensitive can't use them, while people that just like it can go without the smell without physical consequences. There is just no reason to subject people to those chemicals just because some people like the fake smell. There are completely serious about the 4:00 check in and charge hourly to check in early, but you have to book that ahead of time. Breakfast isn't served until 9:30 AM at the earliest. Coffee in room, but no real cream, just fake stuff.

Obviously, we made several stops and stayed the night until we would hit the road again. 9 hours later from Las Vegas, we stayed in Pocatello. I am so glad we booked our stay here at La Quinta. When we got here, it wasn't snowing yet, just a few flurries. I am giving this hotel 5 stars because of the friendly service, comfortable accommodations, complimentary breakfast and cleanliness. Although the breakfast wasn't like it used to be where they had stations and everyone can grab and go or dine in, but because of the pandemic, the breakfast is prepackaged in brown bags with water, fruits, muffins etc. The lady at the concierge (I wish I remembered her name) she was kind enough to recommend the best pizza place for delivery - Big Foot Pizza. They even delivered directly to our hotel room. The room was very clean & spacious, the beds were comfortable - to say the least, we overslept! The best part of our stay here... we woke up to snow! We looked out of the window the next morning and all of the cars in the parking lot were covered with SNOW! My kids couldn't wait to go outside! This was our first snow fall experience and we haven't never seen this much snow, it was amazing!
