Itzel is a hair angel. I used a groupon for a cut, balayage and dry. It took about under two hours. I loved the cut and my hair felt way healthier and bouncer after she added layers. I liked how the balayage turned out but when I got home and saw it in the sunlight it looked a bit more brassy than I was comfortable with, Itzel fit me in the next day to tone my hair. She was incredibly patient and kind and toned my hair until it was to my liking and dried my hair again. She also gave me tips on color maintenance. Ok I love Michael. I see mixed reviews but let me tell you- he does the best cut and color and for the best price. I've lived in LA and Atlanta and had all kinds of hair stylists. I love what he does with my hair. I have thick hair and he handles if beautifully. The salon could use updating for sure. The salon itself is warm and inviting, and the day I accompanied my aunt to her manicure appointment (December 19), I was offered all the cookies I could stand while waiting for her in the reception area. Mary Tidwell has been my aunt's mani/pedicurist for 22 years. She's followed her all over Nashville, and now Mary can be found at Clark and Company in Green Hills. Mary is extremely knowledgeable and talented, and friendly to boot. I had met Mary before, of course, but never before had I had the pleasure of receiving her services. After her manicure, I mentioned to my aunt that my feet were in a deplorable state--layers upon layers of rough skin, nails threatening to become ingrown--the usual state of affairs for a poor grad student such as myself . She called Mary the morning of her pedicure appointment (December 27) to find out if she could squeeze me in that day. And she did! If you're worried about getting a free nail fungus with your pedicure despite a salon's superhuman efforts at disinfection, you can rest easy with Mary. She uses disposable tub liners, and supplies her own tub (which sits in the one attached to the pedicure chair). You won't even miss the jets because her foot massages are so, so good. We didn't have time for a full appointment, so Mary gave me a pedicure up through the nail filiing. My feet were as soft as the day I was born and looked great despite the absence of polish. And she gave me lots of good advice on how to deal with my uncooperative toenails. I will have to start planning ahead and making an appointment with her *before* I get to town. read more

Proceed with extreme caution. I followed previous reviews about Michael, and so, so sorry I did. I had a hair style that was working and needed only tweaking. I fully explained what Michael needed to do. If I ever saw him again, I would ask "How dare you chop my hair" Michael put layers and chopped my hair. I look like an unattractive pixie. I asked for a Jackie O look which he said he understood. He fully did not understand my hair or my personality. A Jackie O description is straight forward and we've NEVER seen her with a pixie hair cut. It will take 2 years for this to grow out. Do not trust him with his scissors/ I'd demand my money back if there was any point. Also, Helena who shampooed my hair was extremely rough. I don't think she likes her job and is clueless about the pampering aspect of her job. She did not receive a tip from me! read more

Never again. I refused to be a victim of a uneducated stylist. She skipped through consultation, she went and mixed bleach immediately, she never sectioned my hair. She fumbled with the foil and brush. I have seen real professionals work and this isn't it. Instead of sectioning my hair and starting with the back of my head with low volume developer, she started on the side of my hair with very high developer. I noticed right away that my hair was in danger and left to go to a real stylist. This salon was full of simple 5 dollar men's haircuts and it obvious that they do not have the skill to pedal these Groupon deals of "Balayage, Cut & Style" I feel conned out of money and time. read more

I had Olivia. She talked a very big game and didn't back it up. I asked for an a line Bob and did not get what I wanted. One side is longer than the other. My balayage also isn't the color I wanted. It's darker and you can't really tell I even got it done. She kept saying hairstylists that curl hair do that to hide mistakes then at the end she curled my hair... sigh it was definitely hiding mistakes. I'm always skeptical when I buy Groupon's for services but I bit the bullet and I'm so happy that I did. I will start off by saying that the only reason I'm knocking a star off is because they seem a little disorganized - and maybe that's because I came in on a day when they were super busy. I was really apprehensive to get highlights because I'm somewhat picky but I'm so glad I did - they came out great! Michael did my hair. He was super friendly, talkative, and obviously knew what he was doing. I always go to Crystal, and I call her my hair god. She is so helpful and gives advice on how to care for your hair to keep it it's healthiest. I have seen so much improvement! I was the first appointment this morning and I when I walked in, yesterday's hair was still on the floor. This isn't a place that pays attention to detail. In their defense, I overheard that yesterday was unusually busy, but it was still disgusting. There was also hair (that didn't belong to me) on the smock Michael put on me and A LOT of hair on the brushes he used. This guy did not have the "chair-side manner" that is common in a salon. Had I not had a tough head, this could have been a painful experience. He even poked me with the scissors at one point and didn't even blink. It was all just kind of odd. HOWEVER, I love the cut he gave me. Trying to decide if the pros outweigh the cons. I think I'd go back again because when all is said and done it's the haircut that I need and it is a good one. P.S. I would never set foot in here for a manicure or pedicure after seeing the lack of sanitation on hair products and overall. read more

Personally, I have had nothing but amazing experiences at Clark and Company. I have very curly hair and I called the salon for a recommendation on who to use and the receptionist suggested Frank. I was very hesitant because again my hair is curly and unruly, however, Frank eased my fears and cut my curls perfectly. Not only is he awesome with cuts, he also corrected my horrible hair color which was done by someone else. I came in with an idea in mind and I left 100% satisfied with the color. Shakina is THE BEST! Never have I had such an efficient stylist! Usually I am waiting twenty minutes to go back then even longer because the stylist has been double or even triple booked. But, not with Shakina. She gave me her full attention and her work was fabulous. I received a shampoo, deep condition and style and was in and out within the hour. I will be returning this weekend for another service. Olivia was great! I found the salon through Groupon and they were able to get me in the next morning. Olivia was very conscious to not cut too much off my hair and I love my style now! She definitely loves what she does and is very passionate about using good products on her clients. I asked what her price would be without the Groupon and she said only $30 for a haircut! Only reason for 4 stars was the salon itself seemed a little unorganized and Olivia is stuck in the corner by the reception area so not much privacy. (7/12/16)I just bought a Groupon for this place this morning. I called in right after buying it to set up an appointment. The guy that answers the phone asked for my number and said he would call back shortly with availability. Hours go by, I haven't heard from him. I am trying to plan out my evening, so I call back to once again see if I can get in to get a hair cut.. a lady answers the phone and I explain the situation. She abruptly answers and asks "can you call back when Scott is here" .. without even giving me time to answer or ask a question she hangs up on me. I just went back to the Groupon site to see if I could return the Groupon - I am not able to. At this point - I either waste $60 or suck it up and deal with their poor customer service. EDIT(7/19/16): I went and left pretty happy with my results until today when one of the hair dressers unprofessionally took my cell phone number from their records to TEXT ME. I was not feeling well last week, went to the doctor and received allergy meds. I still wasn't feeling great the day of my appointment but went anyway because you can't stop life if you have allergies. She TEXTED my PERSONAL CELLPHONE to me to let me know I am responsible for getting her sick! How unprofessional, accusatory and untrue. Maybe you also have allergies lady, get some Claritin - it worked for me. read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!! I had a awful experience!!!! I called ahead of time and made an appointment with "Olivia" who did a horrible job. The deep conditioning treatment part was done by a lady who had no idea what she was doing. After rubbing some conditioner on my head without shampooing first I waited for 30 minutes with wet hair, not even in a towel to get the haircut. The person before me was late so OLIVIA rushed my hair and cut it so crooked in five minutes to get me out so she can help the other person who was SOOO LATE and I had to pay the consequences for her tardiness. OLIVIA handled the situation poorly by not canceling or rescheduling the person who was late. THAT IS POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Will not come back to this place!! read more

Found this place through Groupon and I'm so glad I did. Olivia did my cut and highlights and my hair looks great! I'm a natural blonde and don't highlight my hair very often but when I do, I found that I tend to walk out with "brassy" streaks. No issues with that here, I have gorgeous highlights that look very natural, which is exactly what I wanted. For the cut, she partially cut my hair while dry, which I've never had anyone do, but the style really turned out amazing - she noted how this way it's easier for her to see exactly how it will turn out (and I could see the results right away too). Olivia works nights and weekends which works amazing with my schedule - don't have to leave work early for an appointment. I will definitely be back to see her! read more

We love Frank! We called to schedule appointments for our 2 year old and our 17 year old. He handled both with expertise and care. I was so pleased that I asked if he had time to give me a cut, too. I was in luck and my hair looks great! Frank is amazing with the little guys, patient and quick, working with the toddler who sat on my lap. He came out like with a stylish cut with no tears. He asked clarifying questions with the 17 year old so he understood just what she was thinking. She loves her new style and it's perfect for an athlete who needs ease and a senior who needs some glam. I love my hair, too! My daughter's boyfriend said I looked younger. I called to schedule an appointment for a child's haircut. They made the appointment for me with no problem. When I showed up for the haircut, the receptionist said, "um, let me call her," referring to the stylist who was on the schedule to do my son's cut. After she called her, she stepped to the back for a minute. Then she came back and said, "sorry, that stylist can't work today, and no one else can fit you in." There was no attempt at accommodation or really even a heartfelt apology. I have never heard of this treatment at a salon. I definitely won't be back. read more

I want to write this review in the praise of the Wonderful Olivia. I entered Clark and Company today for a haircut. I have a lot of hair, long, red and wavy. I was greeted by Olivia and invited into her chair where we quickly began to chat about what I wanted done today. She began the blowout process which I can only fairly describe as the best blowout I have ever gotten. I have gone to many a dry bar in many cities and this was the best. She took time and care and I never felt rushed. My haircut was perfect, seamless and well executed. To top it all off, she even helped my friend with a hair dilemma because she is just that good. You can truly tell that she loves what she does and it radiates into her work. I am sold and will happily be a regular of Olivia's. read more

Really bad color, my grown out highlights are a darker blonde and the highlights Olivia put in are white, chunky, and have roots even though they were just done. I asked for layers and she cut it shorter but all one length. It's going to cost my $200 to get it fixed. Do not recommend. read more

BUYERS BEWARE. I ordered some Halo Couture hair extensions from Michelle Clark recently, because this salon was listed as an authorized dealer from the company's website. When I finally got to see the extensions after multiple delays, they were fake. Halo extensions are high quality human hair and the hair I was given was poor quality and definitely not human hair, obviously homemade by someone. There was no brand tag on the inside of the extension band either. The box it was given to me in was a box for a different type of extension that the company offers, and was torn in multiple places. She tried to sell me these for over $400.00. I am not sure how she sleeps at night trying to swindle people out of their hard earned money. Absolutely despicable. read more

HORRIBLE experience. I was new to the area and thought I would try a Groupon. The man who was to cut and color my hair was in a terrible mood, was rude, made comments about the fact that I was a few minutes late, acted disgusted when he found out that I wanted highlights too (this was discussed when I booked the appointment), and repeatedly rolled his eyes as I explained what I preferred for my hair. I was so uncomfortable that I didn't trust this man with my hair!!! I have never walked out of anywhere. I wished him a pleasant day and left. In addition, the salon was dirty, grossly cluttered, and the front desk man was talking with his mouth full of food when I arrived. I wish I could put a negative star! I had a last minute event to go to and my regular hairstylist at another salon was with her mother in the hospital. I made an appointment for a blowout at Clark and Company. When I got to my appointment the owner told me Michael would be doing my blowout. I had to wait 30 minutes for him. He kept looking up front as if he had no idea I had an appointment with him. I told him I only wanted my hair blown out. NO hot irons. He had an attitude about having to even do the service. I wish I had it to do over again and I would have walked out! He had the blow dryer so hot it burnt my scalp. He did not apply any product on my hair before drying it. After he worked on my hair I had to get 5 inches cut off because he burnt it so bad, My hair broke off at the roots on my hairline. I had burn spots on my scalp. He literally ruined my hair. It will take a year for my hair to get back healthy. I honestly believe he burnt my hair on purpose because of his attitude. I didn't have any discount coupon either. I paid full price. Got a living social special for cut, deep condition, and style. The massage with the wash was good, and Michelle was ok with the cut and style (when I got home I realized the cut was crooked, which doesn't surprise me given the lack of attention she gave). The cut and style took less than 15 min. It wasn't a great "finishing", it was rushed to get the job done and there wasn't much attention to detail. I had to ask for another smoothing product before walking out and even that was rushed and took ten seconds. The lady who did my wash did a good head massage, but after I was done with the dryer, she walked over and from 5 feet away waved for me to come get my hair washed, and didn't even bother to raise the dryer. After my wash she said "go sit over there" pointing to the styling chair (felt like I was a 5 year old who had been bad). Giving it 1 star because the massage was good. I would have given it more stars if I felt awesome walking out, and I didn't. read more
