Second time shooting ever, with my first time being over 10 years ago. Not too bad.

I came here with friends for the Annie Oakley program on September 23 and October 7. Really amazing program and instructors here! They are thorough and patient, friendly, and didn't make me feel the least bit intimidated or uneasy. I had only been shooting one other time and it was 10 years prior to those nights. I really appreciate they offer a women's only class. Looking forward to going again soon with friends! I hope this program never ends and am so appreciative everything that they offer.

Back again for the Ducks in the Desert shoot. By far this facility is one of the best in the nation. Well maintained and modern we love this place.

My husband and I came here last week for the beginner's shooting class and had a great experience. I've always been a bit uncomfortable around guns, but my friend suggested I try shooting as a stress reliever. After months of contemplating, I decided to give it a try and asked my husband to come along for support and also since it's been a really long time since he's gone shooting - thought a refresher couldn't hurt. Everyone at the range was incredibly friendly and our instructor Rich was very professional and taught me so much about handling a gun properly and how to safely shoot. I ended up having a fantastic time and it really was a great stress relief. The indoor facilities / classrooms were very clean. Both buildings had nice restrooms on site. The shooting area was perfectly maintained, covered, and they have it built out so you can place your target at your preferred distance. I cannot recommend the Clark County Shooting Complex enough. This was a very positive experience for my first time handling a gun.

Great shooting range with dedicated areas for rifles, pistols, shotguns, and archery. The prices are very reasonable, and there's plenty of staff on hand to ensure safety and keep everything secure. Whether you're a beginner or experienced shooter, it's a well-maintained facility that makes you feel comfortable and confident while practicing your skills.

You can be a gunman without a rifle. You can archery a fossilized arrowhead without a bow. You can be Armed with a pair of guns without any firearms. Whether you are there as a practicing marksman. Or running up that elevated pathway for personal achievement. That mountain peak view never gets old.

    What a view!

I went here this past Sunday and the place is huge. It is very clean and organized, and there are many shooting options and inexpensive. The office staff is very helpful and super friendly. On the range the safety is well regulated and the range officers are really great. They were very friendly and very helpful. The experience was really enjoyable from start to finish. I forgot how nice it was to shoot outdoors. I only brought 5 of my firearms, I should have brought the other 5 and stayed the entire day!

Out door range is great. On summer days make sure to get here early because one it gets full and to get away from the heat. Bring water. The staff is incredible. They will assist you if you have any questions regarding your firearm and give you some pointers.

Nice, organized, clean, range that has plenty of distance options! Decided to check this place out since I usually go out on my own in Sloan or Jean when I do my outdoor distance shooting. I needed to zero a optic for a new .308 rifle I got, and wanted to do it at a professional range with actual distance markers. Read plenty of reviews on this place, I've been living in Vegas for over 6 years now and as avid shooter, I decided to drive up here and give it a try. When it comes to the gun/2A community, it can be a very unwelcoming feeling sometimes when you visit certain gun shops/gun ranges. In my experience, if you don't look a certain way, sometimes you don't get the best customer service or taken seriously. I'll just leave it at that without going into detail. But this place was very friendly and welcoming! From the front counter staff to all the RSO's on the firing line! The ladies at the front desk were very polite and courteous with the whole check in/checkout process, after I told them it was my first time here they were very happy to help me and answer all my questions. The RSO's on the line are friendly and welcoming as well. They have a good system of managing the safety for everyone on the range and are also very accommodating with any questions you have. I've been in this hobby for a while now so gun safety is second nature to me. The RSO's can be stern when they need to be as I witnessed a few young shooters not following directions of a cold range and handling their firearms when they weren't supposed to, so the staff is always on their toes, as they should be. This is defiantly a great range to check out, I brought 2 rifles with me, so next time I'll bring some pistols to try out the handgun side of the range. I'll also bring some friends and family here when we are looking to shoot! I live on the complete opposite side of town, but it's definitely worth the 35 minute drive!

It was my first time coming to this range and my very first time trying out my new firearm. Everyone here is so helpful and made me feel so comfortable. I never had to look for anyone because they were right there. Wish it was indoors but overall, I enjoyed the experience.

Some of the range officers can be way over bearing and it takes from the experience and almost makes it less safe and more stressful.

"An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. So, when life is dragging you back with…read moredifficulties, it means that it's going to launch you into something great." Thomas Fuller As far back as the Stone Age, archery has been present. It's one of the oldest of sports and it's supported by the ancient artifacts that have been preserved and found. Prior to man using a gun to kill and destroy other objects and people the use of a bow and arrow was used. The word archery comes from the Latin word arcus, which means bow and arrow. In fact, in an archery game the arrow can fly twice over again than what a cheetah can run. We have all these facts about archery. Why should one care about archery today? We don't hunt any longer? We have guns to shoot our enemies and kill our food? If one forgets their past history, like what is apparently happening today all these things are forgotten. Even if your not hunting, which I would never do. Taking an animals life for sport is wrong. That's just my personal preference. Im not going to hunt any humans either? But we need to keep the past alive here in the present. The staff here are very well trained in the skills of archery. Maybe not for hunting but just to keep the skill alive. Most of the staff are on the younger side as well. They build bows here for all price ranges. And can even teach you how to use your bow properly. While the bow and arrow was mankind's first weapon of choice and advanced technology. In many American Native cultures the bow and arrow symbolized an embodiment of magic as given through the spirit world. These days the bow and arrow has truly evolved. The compound bow is what we ended up taking home vs the recurve bow. The compound bow allows the user to draw with more control and less weight as you use it. The compound bow is truly better at accuracy than the recurve bow. Most individuals start on a recurve bow and graduate to a compound bow. The consistency of the compound bow might seem more complex it's easy to master with practice. A good shooter is known for their aim. Archery is in the love of watching the arrow fly and hit the target. Now focus your mind and let the bow be part of you. Aim and let go and watch the arrow fly to the target.

Amazing store for dog owners, outdoors people, hunters, fishers, boaters, campers, and more. Great…read moreselection, and great value. It is also a really fun place to visit even if you aren't shopping for anything specific. As a big-dog owner with a Doberman who is a service dog in training, I've now visited this store three times with my dog, and every trip has been fantastic. The store carries a huge variety of outdoor equipment, clothing, hunting and fishing gear, camping supplies, boating equipment, shoes, dog supplies, treats, toys, and more. I especially love the aquariums and taxidermy displays throughout the store--they make it feel more like an experience than just a store. There's also an archery range, outdoor seating, tractors on display, and a beautiful entrance with a wooden bridge over water. **** Why I especially love it for dogs in training**** For dogs that already have their basic commands down and are ready for more real-world exposure, I think this is an excellent environment. There are so many opportunities to practice: * Different surfaces: wooden bridges, smooth floors, carpet, stairs, rocks, etc. * New sights: taxidermy, boats, tractors, aquariums, hunting and camping equipment, and more. * New smells: fish bait, treats, snacks, clothing, shoes, other dogs, and people. (Smelling from a distance ofc, I don't let my dog stick her nose right up in there, that's rude haha) * Loose-leash walking and heeling: It's a large store, so there's plenty of room to practice navigating turns, corners, and aisles. * Down-stays: The many aisles make great opportunities to practice staying calmly while you browse. * Focus around distractions: On busier days, your dog may encounter children, adults, other dogs, and all the other activity that comes with a large store. * Tasking practice: For service dogs in training, it can be a useful environment to practice maintaining focus and performing tasks around distractions. * Confidence building: The variety of sights, sounds, smells, surfaces, and people can provide gentle exposure for dogs who need to build confidence. Of course, I would only recommend bringing dogs that are under control, non-aggressive, and have a reasonable foundation of basic obedience. And always follow the store's current pet/service-animal policies. As someone who can get a little anxious about whether my SDiT is behaving perfectly, I also appreciate how comfortable and welcoming this environment feels. I've had my dog do the occasional "drive-by nose boop" to someone we passed, and instead of feeling embarrassed, I've generally found people to be incredibly understanding and friendly. I've even met fellow big-dog owners and had conversations about Dobermans. One of my favorite moments was when my Doberman suddenly froze and intensely stared down an empty aisle with one paw lifted like she was "pointing" at something invisible. An employee and I both started laughing. **** Great for big-dog owners**** I've found their dog selection particularly useful for larger breeds. Because of the store's focus on outdoor and hunting dogs, I've noticed a better selection of larger-dog equipment than I often find at typical pet stores. They also carry things that can be useful beyond hunting, including scent-training supplies, life jackets for swimming, training equipment, toys, treats, and other gear. I could easily see using many of these products for scent work, dock diving, outdoor adventures, and general training. I also appreciate the selection of dog treats and the ability to find options with ingredients I feel comfortable giving my dog. **** Overall Experience **** The staff have always been friendly, personable, professional, and helpful--and sometimes genuinely funny. There's plenty of parking, and the outdoor area and entrance make the store feel inviting before you even walk inside. I also love that it's open until 10 p.m. on weekdays. To me, Bass Pro Shops feels like more than a store. It's almost like a little mini-world where you can shop, explore, train your dog, and see other people enjoying the store too. I highly recommend this place for hunters, boaters, fishers, campers, and outdoor enthusiasts.... but especially for dog owners whose dogs already have a foundation of obedience and are ready for more real-world exposure and distractions.
