Battlefield Vegas feels like a tourist trap, and an extremely expensive one for what you actually get. You go in expecting a real shooting-range experience, but that is not what it feels like. An employee is assigned to you and does nearly everything: loads the rounds into the magazines, inserts and reloads the magazines, handles the weapon, and rushes you through the process. The only thing left for you to do is pull the trigger. You can clearly feel the pressure to fire your rounds quickly so they can move on to the next tourists. Our group of five paid about $500 total for two weapons per person, with only around 5-10 rounds per weapon. The entire experience was over in under 10 minutes. My advice: find a real indoor shooting range instead. You'll get far more time, freedom, and value for your money. Don't waste your time or money here. read more

If you have interest in doing a little shooting, you need to look at Battlefield Vegas. Yes they have handguns, shotguns and rifles. But they also have a wide selection of sub machine guns and machine guns. In fact if you have the time and money you can go shoot grenade launchers and drive tanks. They also have a fun gift shop, coffee shop and lots of museum pieces that you can photograph. They'll even pick you and your group up for free, and drive your group back to your strip hotel (limitations apply). Yes it can get pricey really fast - but it's all about the experience! What a unique and fun experience. I didn't know there was a shooting range here in Vegas, and they have some pretty crazy guns in their arsenal. The experience is pricey, but it's definitely a fun time, especially if you get to try a gun you haven't shot before. I went with the GI Joe Package, which was about $200 for around 10 minutes of shooting. The staff was well trained and helped me load the guns while showing me where to place my hands. Plenty of free parking. Found this place for coffee/caffeine but it was closed. Turn out to a great place to kill 30min, take an outdoor stroll around a showcase of equipment by nevada museum of armored research and perseverance. - No ammo is sold here. Fun experience! I've shot at many shooting ranges and BLM lands but wanted to share the experience with a newbie. This place is a nice controlled environment to try out different packages for all skill and interest levels! You can book packages online or just book when you get there. You can book a free humvee pickup from your hotel at least two hours in advance so it makes it convenient and fun! We got the GI Jane package to have a more beginner friendly experience. Our guide was helpful to show how to stand, hold, and aim the guns. After we're done we got a free ride back to our hotel or whereever on the strip or downtown. read more

This review is only for a tour of the facility & the tanks in the parking lot. We didn't do any shooting. There was no entry fee, i was able to walk around in the parking lot & took photos of military vehicles: Shermans, Abrams, Leopards, Chieftain, 150mm SPG, Soviet T62, PT 76 & BMP, etc... there was even a F16 there, how cool was that? Inside the store there were more displays: M2 50 cal, MG 42, Maxim, etc.. overall a great experience for history buff or tank enthusiast. Next time i will try the shooting range. We were in Vegas for a conference and my boss asked if we wanted to go shooting. Of course we did! There was 5 of us - 4 of us opted for the operator package & my co-worker went with the WWII package - he wanted to shoot the rifle his grandfather carried in the war Caz was our instructor. Most of us have shot weapons previously but this was the 1st time for one of my coworkers. We were picked up in a Humvee - fyi if you have mobility issues - the free Humvee pickup might not be awesome for you. I have a fake knee & I'm about to have surgery on my other knee & I needed a hand up. Getting down was easier. There's lots of vehicles & helicopters you can climb on to take pictures - all free We checked in - and when it was out turn we got to go have some fun. If you want to shoot big guns this is the place to go. My favorite weapons was the mini & the 50 caliber! Also - I don't recommend shorts - casings are hot and they will get ya sometimes. Is it expensive- yes - is it worth it - yes Will you have fun - I think yes again They will provide you with eye & ear protection. I'm not sure if you're allowed to bring your own but I don't know why not. read more

I started getting scared as soon as I heard the loudest gun (can't tell you what it is - not savy lol but the long one that has an automatic option) and asked if I could just skip that gun. On my second day in Vegas, I was looking for some interesting things to do, and going to this gun range was one of them. I have never shot a gun before, so I wanted to try, especially here. Also, there were other gun ranges that were closed. The store clerks were helpful with whatever you needed with. Since it was my first time I asked what the process was like in order to, you know, shoot a gun. So the store clerk described that there were different "packages" that you could select from that contained different guns you could shoot with or you could select individual guns that same with a certain amount of rounds. I only really wanted to try using a glock since I've seen it on TV shows frequently. It came with 20 rounds. It costed about $51 after tax. (btw you can't buy guns here, but you're welcome to test out any guns they have that you can select from) The wait time to shoot just one gun was like 45 minutes... It was based on a first come first serve basis. They give you a little beeper card that goes off until it is your turn. When it IS your turn, you go to the back past the range sign inside the store and a worker will teach you the basic safety rules. To basically do what the worker says . He/she will give you a headset deafening device and safety goggles. When you enter the gun range, THE SHOTS ARE SO LOUD. Anyway when you get to your stall, your instructor will teach you how to hold the gun, use the gun and aim the gun. They will also say that any malfunction there is with the gun, he/she will figure it out. They give you the paper target at the end of the session. Would I come here again? Most likely not unless it is with friends who live in Vegas. It's a little pricey, but it makes sense it's a tourist-y spot. read more

In Vegas for a bachelor party and this was a good place to start the day. Started at 10am, no wait. Entered with 5 and they couldn't accommodate there specials as its 6 min even if it was our boy birthday and bachelor day ! But overall was a good experience, not once did we feel we would be endangered. Very Friendly people and we could take pictures of unloaded guns/rpg at the end. Staff are very friendly and typically respond to emails quickly within 24 hours. Excellent selection and diverse variety of guns available, though some ammo is limited availability. There is a free humvee pickup service available to pick you up and drop you off. My driver arrived 7 minutes early prior to our scheduled pickup time, which is excellent . Just remember to follow all the rules the rso (range safety officer) tells you pay attention, and don't do anything stupid. There is a 10% military discount for active duty and veterans available for both the indoor range and gift shop, so if you're a veteran be sure to bring your VA card. Overall, it was a fun amd exciting experience that I would recommend if you drop by in vegas as I would do this again, though I recommend coming early. Another bucket list item checked off! This was quite an experience, and I was partnered with Jacob, who was really the perfect match for me. There was a G.I. Jane package that I did versus choosing something à la cart. The check-in process is super easy and I was made to feel very safe considering the fact that this was my first time around a gun that didn't squirt water ha! If you want pictures or videos, they send an additional person in with you and your instructor as the instructor only handles the firearm. This was definitely one of the most memorable things I did on my vacation. read more

What an experience! From the original online communication (we booked an experience the wrong day) to the full-session, we had a blast (pun intended). The day started with our Humvee pick-up to put us in the mood. Nothing better than the hot outdoor air brushing against your skin and the shaking of the road to make you in the mood. At the range, we were promptly registered (pre-booking did help a lot) and we were asked to wait until our buzzer called us. We took the time to walk around the museum outside admiring some old tanks and military vehicles from different times and nations. Then it was time to go to the range. We had booked 3 packages for my son who is an history buff (D-Day, Blitzkrieg, Stalingrad) and the Beretta 92 for me (my old service weapon from 30+ years ago). Our range instructor was Cool Dan and he was indeed super cool and patient. Despite this old man not having done shooting in a long time, Cool Dan still was kind enough to say I still got it. Well, 75% still got it. Then he patiently explained to my son each weapon, how to load/fire them and always insuring safety first. At no time we felt unsafe. Every range instructor is highly trained and aware of everything happening around. Very impressive. And just as a piece of advice, be ready to hear very very LOUD weapons being fired around you including some that will suck the oxygen out of the room. That's part of the fun. Best experience in Vegas! I wanted to do a father/son experience with my 12 year-old and this was perfect. He is into video games and military history and this is right up his alley. We started with the free humvee pick up. Upon arrival, the museum of vehicles, tanks, and aircraft had everything from every war, several countries, and was amazing. The shooting experience was perfect for him. I got the Little Giants package and Jason was a great instructor. The firearm safety instruction along with the shooting was great. Jason was patient with my son and he was able to shoot a few weapons. We are looking to come back and shoot larger caliber firearms and weapons. Definitely a must-do if you are in Vegas. read more

Well, this was awesome! I came here at the recommendation of a friend who said I should come here on the day between Ringo's concert and seeing Beatles' Love by Cirque. He told me what I needed to shoot, and I brought a friend from Canada who wanted to shoot a handgun and a machine gun. She got to shoot more than just one machine gun; I think she shot 3. We split The Operator package because it was much more cost effective to do that, and you only pay a $20 split fee. I had my list of things that I wanted to try (guns I don't have easy access to at home) M249 SAW: 40 rounds, M107A1 Barrett 50: 2 round, M-134 Minigun: 100 rounds, and I added on the M2 Browning "Ma Deuce." They provide eyes and ears, but I have my own custom inner ear pro that I travel with, and they let me use those with their muffs -- that was very helpful. They also have complimentary Hum-Vee transport and drop off to any of the hotels on the strip. I don't know what the radius is that they'll go. They are very close to the strip. I was surprised when I looked it up on a map. This was an excellent experience, and so much fun. I had never shot a mini gun or 50bmg before. read more

Harrison was our instructor and he was amazing! This experience was fun. I came with a few friends as a daytime thing to do. For some, it was a first time experience. For me, a second. But, this one was a bit more intense. The area coming in was so dope! They had a bunch of army and military hum -v's, helicopters and tanks out in the front. They have a cool store you can grab memorabilia and cool photo opps to take while you wait. We used a Groupon so this was pretty affordable and fun!!!! We were able to choose between 3 guns, and each included 20 rounds, googles and headsets and a target sheet. Harrison made sure to teach each one of us the basics, the safety, and how to shoot the gun the right way. We all enjoyed it and will definitely go back again. To top it off, they give you FREE TRANSPORTATION to anywhere on the strip or in the vicinity on an hum v. We took that option to go get our $10 tattoos. We stayed at Hilton across the street and saw this place as we arrived. We checked in and got right on the website. As I was reading the FAQ's to my son, he pretty much lost his stool when I told him minimum age is 10yr a old (he just turned 10). We went to Battlefield the following day. This place is awesome! Staff was extremely friendly and professional. The museum was epic! My son was naming every weapon on the way to me (prob cuz all the video games he plays). Steven was our range officer and I thought he was great! My son has previously shot .22 rifle, but Steven was exceptional in showing him assault weapon etiquette and safety.
