This is one of my favorite gun ranges in Las Vegas. Just make sure to call and verify that they are open. Its a base range so, they can have other events supporting the base. Overall, the ranges are clean and the staff are great. As with every range, follow rules and be safe. The long distance range can use some updating on their shooting area such as tables, chairs etc. The pistol range is great. read more

I like their ranges and their rifle range is my favorite range in Southern Nevada. That said it is just a pain to shoot there. I've been shooting there a few times a year for years and always half the time I go there is some type of issue. If they want more stars then be open durning your posted business hours. I have to call every time before I go and even there are sometimes problems. For example this year. January - no issues had a great time. Either Feb/March - they were closed for inventory on one of their posted open business hours. April - I called to see if they were open and they said yes. Then when I got there they said no dependents can shoot, only the active duty service member because of COVID. It would have been great if they would have said something when I called earlier. July - Closed for inventory again. My bad. I should have called to check if they were open. I did check their website and it said they were open. This has been the story for years. All I ask is that your open durning your posted hours and if someone calls and there are restrictions let them know. I've had these same types of issues going on for years. Here's another example. Years ago the gun club was selling a punch card to members for I think it was like 10 visits for the price of 7 or something like that. So I bought it and went like three times. And then I deployed for a year. When I came back I tried to use the card and they said oh we are not doing this program anymore. I showed them there was no expiration on the card and they said the card is no longer any good. But they would let me shoot that day for free but that was it and they took the card. If that rifle range wasn't so good I would never go back. read more

Nellis is the best place to shoot skeet in southern Nevada hands down, and if you are looking elsewhere you need to stop. This is a great place to shoot that has won awards from the NSSA for large club of the year more than once. They know what the shooting public is looking for and they are always making efforts to respond to requests. The clubhouse has full bathrooms, air conditioning and drinks. If you are looking to purchase firearms that can be arraigned, there are some rental guns if you need it. There is ammo sales and some reloading components available. This is not the main reason to come however. The people there are solid folks who will welcome you no matter what your background is or your shooting experience level. Henry maintains the machines and does his utmost to keep the machines up and running. There are 11 fields and several are trap overlays. The machines are LaPorte with carousels. For major registered shoots the Briley wands are in use. For people that want to shoot sporting clays there is a great course available for that as well. There are RV hook ups for the out of town people. There is a rifle and pistol as well and there are some new groups out there getting involved in setting up shooting opportunities with their group for rifle. Obviously, there is an active duty discount for Airmen etc. There is skeet league on Sundays where you can shoot 100 targets and have those count as registered as well. There is no other place that you need to go. The County Club is alright, but not as good in my opinion. read more

Woke up early and called, spoke with a young girl named Morgan and asked if we needed an appointment or reservation. She said no, just come down. We drove a long distance and got there, without military access we would need an employee to come escort us which we've had done before. We called and she said she was the only one there, and once her coworker comes back then it was possible. Her coworker came in and got on the phone and said "we don't do it." Gave us the run around. We sat for a bit and googled another Range, we left pretty sad. We were respectful and nice and followed instructions. We had 3 AR's an AK and a 1911 and a couple of glocks and were going to buy bullets there to have fun. Im sure We can find other spots in Vegas that wants our money. I see why our economy is like this, Lazy people not wanting to make money. Im disappointed as we Americans no longer have Pride in our work and our services and Goods. Shame. read more

Wow!!!!!! Where do I start, the service here was a a a a amazing. From start to finish it was everything we had hoped for. Upon arrival we already knew that we wanted to shoot an AR and a pistol. One of the staff there "kelly"actually rented us her personal weapon and on top of it came out to the range and gave us some great pointers and taught us the proper safety and etiquette of a fire arm we learned so much thx. I have shot at countless ranges and gun clubs in several states, this place is unparalleled by any of them. While TDY at Nellis i was able to enjoy the acomodatations of this clubs many pistol ranges and skeet fields. The staff set my group up with rentals in both categories and Al even allowed me to use a few of his personal firearms. You'll never find a place with better people, a more pleasant atmosphere or a better facility. You do have to watch yourself out there though, Kelly will make you never want to leave! I will definetly make it a point to come out here every time i find myself in Vegas. read more

The largest Skeet and Sporting Clays facility in Southern Nevada. Went here to shoot some trap with the guys. Facility is in the Nellis Air Force base and requires you to be "escorted" (see instructions on the web). 12 fields to choose and very easy going crowd. Well kept facility. Prices are reasonable. Small selection of rentals. If they advertised more and had more gun rentals, would be a good break from gambling/eating/sleeping all day. read more

The range offers nothing it has moved away from tradition. Very limited ammunition, weapons and services . The ranges are in poor repair and shows no pride and ownership. I hope it is not reflection of the 99th support group leadership because it is very poor and has much to be desired. How do they expect to retain personnel when the support services are non existent. The renovation of the club house suffers from poor planning and shoestring budget antics. The Nellis gun ranges can be world class but are piss poor at this point. read more

Al was like a father to me out there. Al made me feel safe, trained, and prepared to shoot those clays out of the sky. His passion for teaching the fundamentals of shooting is unmatched. I'm going to make it a point to visit Al every time I go to Vegas. I just pray that he will never forever me, because I will never forget him. If you're a beginner like me, do yourself a favor and pay a little extra to do the private lesson with Al. The lessons he teaches are truly priceless. Awesome range located on Nellis AFB! Beautiful scenery all around and a great family feeling. This place has true customer service! A great spot to shoot rifles and pistols safely with aircraft flying overhead. The facility has a lot of great services to offer in the ever changing gun world. A hidden gem, this shooting range is a great place . Due to heightened security, visitors should plan on obtaining a visitors pass or having someone sponsor them on to the base. This process will take a a little bit to get going but it's worth the wait. read more

For a beginner shooter, Al gave us a full walk through and by the end of our 1st round I felt like an experienced shooter. This is such a fun hobby I'm soon to pickup. InVegas for work and had a free day to burn, really glad I found this shooting range. How can it get any better; fighter jets flying overhead as they take off and land at the nearby air strip, and a day shooting a very challenging clays course? For me, the answer is, "it doesn't". An experience that I will remember for a long time. Rich and Henry were both very accommodating knowing that this was my first time visiting. I needed all equipment to shoot sporting clays, gun, shell pouch, ammo, etc... they had it all. Even though each stand has a delayed pull, Henry was very nice in that he let me be for a about half of the 13 stands, and then joined me for the rest and pulled for me. Definitely will come back the next time I'm in town. read more

Great range that is close and not so crowded. Best for shotguns, but they are slowly building up a great rifle/pistol range.

By far the best shooting range in Las Vegas. The rifle range is simply amazing. Targets from 50 to 904 yards surrounded by terrain features. The trap range is clean with plenty of lanes. The pistol range is well maintained with quality steel and target stands that stay put in the wind. Staff is friendly and generally busy so they tend to be down to business. Safety is not overbearing and shooters are free to train as they see fit as long as the NRA safety rules are followed. Getting on base is never a problem as long as you get on the "list". I highly recommend joining the club. read more

Nellis gun club and range is the best. Staff is friendly, and they also sell ammo for reasonable prices. The cost is 5 dollars per day,if you get a membership. Membership costs 15 dollars per year. Cant beat that! They also have ccw course which is both excellant, and ecconomical.(50 dollars). One of the things I like about this place is that they dont have a lot of the silly rules you encounter at a lot of the ranges here in vegas, such as "you cant bring youre own ammo, or you cant shoot rifles." Safety rules are in force but not overbearing. You can keep youre own brass if you like. read more
