I just returned here after years since Parlor is outside of burger-driving-range from my house. The menu had changed a lot with plenty of new additions, which is awesome, but I was worried that the core burgers may have changed too. While some of the wording was different, I was able to order the exact same burger I fell in love with years ago and the flavor instantly sent me back to the first time I tried it. I ordered the MOB XL Burger Basket with Jalapenos, avocado, and loaded fries. The jalapenos here aren't just regular jalapenos. They are flavor country (also very hot). If you like spicy food, these are the best burger jalapenos in the city imo. My gf ordered the regular single with jalapenos and was annihilated by the spice. She's kind of a wimp when it comes to spice but she trucked through it because the flavors are so good. Long story short, this is still my fav burger in OKC (by a long shot). The fact that this place isn't always highly-rated in a state where people worship Whataburger and Braum's borders on absurdity. MOB is similar to Tucker's but better in every way. It absolutely annihilates S&B and the Garage in flavor. The only possible downside is if you want a tame burger, then sure this isn't the place for you. But if you are big into flavor, this place will take care of you better than your mama. Now that they have delivery options to my house, I will definitely experiment with the other menu items. Location: Some people may have a little difficulty finding this place because it's located in the Parlor, which is similar to the Railyard in Edmond that has multiple restaurants under one roof. The first time I came here I intended on ordering a burger but pivoted at the last second to their pulled pork sandwich. Their pulled pork is legitimately better than many (or maybe even most) BBQ restaurants in the area and their different types of loaded fries are downright delicious too. Tip: you order at a counter just like at a fast food restaurant and have to go pick up your food from the counter when it's ready and carry your own food to your mall food court table. We were unfamiliar with MOB grill but desperately needed a place that was family friendly for our 2 year old and infant kiddo. The outdoor area of Parlor, where MOB is located, was perfect for that! We came to MOB after checking out the Tulips at Myriad. I got the original onion burger and it was divine. Perfectly cooked and seasoned and my toddler would agree the fries were outstanding. That seasoning, chefs kiss. Parlor's selection of beer/ciders/cocktails were on point too! I got the Blackberry cider from OK Cider Co. and I will now be looking everywhere for it because I want more. I feel that it's easy to create an exciting place where young, single people can gather but to create somewhere that a younger family can come for mom and dad to get a drink and feel safe, THAT's saying something. We went to Mob Grill for a bite to eat and it was delish! Follow the instructions everyone gives below because are they are perfect. The restaurant is in a food court of sorts which is kind of the only drawback of you aren't coming straight from the attached bar or trying to have a nice conversation. Not what I expected. We watched the Nba playoff game in the parlor and there was no volume for the game. As for the restuarant itself, I had the God Father basket. I wasn't impressed, but i may have gotten something i didnt like with the Mob Jalapenos. The pulled pork was okay. Fries were gross. I can't tell you how long ago I had a MOB burger, but they only had a truck if that tells you anything. But the memory of that burger's taste has stayed with me. Did not know they had a brick & mortar located in The Parlor which is not far from work. So, off to lunch we went. This is not fast food so take a deep breath and enjoy. I had the MOB Burger Basket because that burger doesn't need any accessories. 1/3 lb of fresh ground Angus Ribeye, mustard, American cheese, pickles, marinated grilled onions (who marinates grilled onions? they do!) on a La Baguette fresh baked bun and hand cut fries seasoned with MOB's house made bada-bing spice (it's not hot so you can handle it). The location of their restaurant is inside The Parlor so when you go look for signage it's not going to be large. Parking is free in a lot south of The Parlor on NE 6th. I understand that there is also a free lot to the North of The Parlor that is close to the venue & no street crossing. Went on a Wednesday around Noon. Not too busy. Place your order, pay for your food. I didn't actually make my order as I was a lunch guest so I can't tell you if they take your name or give you a number to pick up your order. Fountain drinks are order here as well. There is a "fountain" station on the East wall. There is also a full bar on the Northside of the space. You might consider hanging around the counter as I don't think they called our names, but put our orders on the counter saying the baskets names. So remember what you ordered. Maybe they did it that way because we were standing there. There are different size tables from 2 tops to 6 top or move tables together if you need more room. The burger was as great as I remember and that's saying something. My party got a Theta Burger basket and one got the XL Burger. The fries were good. Nothing like a hand cut fry. I've been a huge fan of MOB for well over 6 years - starting with following them around in their food truck to their latest spot at parlor. It was their classic onion burger and fries that drew me in and hooked me for life. If you've never been, MOB (Marcos Onion Burgers) is known for changing the game on the classic onion burger by introducing some real flavor. Starting with the blend of meats to their marinated onions (and jalapeños if you want a kick). Yes, I went back. :) This time around I had the The Butcher Basket. Yes, it comes with fries. And I ordered an extra side of fries with it. Don't tell my cardiologist. The butcher burger comes with pulled pork on it and I was looking forward to the combination of pork and beef. The atmosphere is really cozy and the music is at a decent volume to where you can hear the people in your group and the crowd is drowned by the up beat music. There's no wait staff which is good for me it means it less people coming up to me while I have a full mouth of food asking me a question. The sliders are fantastic but the onions over power the taste of the meat and the sauce. I recommend getting them on the Side or asking for nun at all. The meat is not dry at all the cooks definitely know what they are doing when it comes to the grill but again the onions over power the meat. A chance meeting with the owner, Matt, who told us that he raises the cattle used in the restaurant. This makes this a true farm to table place. I had one of the best burgers ever, with all the fixings, called The Big Jack. And I got to meet Big Jack himself. I also got the most mouth watering chili on the side and it was excellent. Sitting at the bar with the friend bartender who helped us, visitors to OKC figure out what to do next was most fun way to send the afternoon. This is a must visit to OKC. Just oily enough to enhance flavor, made the wrapper shiny but no dripping or running. Only issues was sauteed onions are too few and their added flavor is minimal. I could barely even taste the marinade they brag about. They don't burn them into the patty here, which many including my husband say is not authentic. Still it's a very good burger. Especially with added pickle slices. Fries I didn't dig as much, too limp and overdone, tasted oily. Service is cordial enough.
