I was looking for some screws and a few other items for a home improvement project, and I stopped in here to grab a few things. Immediately upon entering, there was a guy standing there who helped me with the screws from their selection. There were some things they didn't have, and he expressed how they have a variety, but don't have many of each item. The cashier and I had a small conversation while she checked me out. Wish I could give 0 stars for customer service! Owner is very rude! Went there to buy a 3-pronged extension cord. Went in and a guy asked me what he could help me with. I told him I needed a 3 pronged extension cord. He showed me the extension cords. I purchased it. Got to my work, opened it, and saw it was 2-pronged. Immediately went to return it. Had receipt, packaging with cord. Owner came up and said, "first we need to put it back in the packaging correctly." The guy that helped me before started winding up the cord. She told him he wasn't doing it right that the loops were too big! So he corrected them. Then she asked where the wire tie was to wrap around it. It had fallen on the floor. I picked it up. She proceeded to tape the sleeve back together and told me that her customers won't buy something that was opened. Then she took the new cord and slipped the sleeve off of it and said see this slides off easily, you don't have to rip the cardboard. I told her when I opened it I didn't know I would be returning it. Then she walked away. I have never been treated so poorly by someone in customer service. Had I gone to Home Depot they never would have treated me this way. Also the cord probably would have been cheaper. Don't go to this store. read more

Very rude and ignorant people, I'm talking about the top people too! Don't expect any kind of customer service, they make the mistake but offer no apologies and then are outright nasty about it! Never trust or buy from a business that can't handle their small mistakes because you know they won't handle the larger ones. Stay away from this place, I have deep pockets and will never spend a nickel there again! I can only imagine the amount of revenue lost yearly because people will spend their money elsewhere. read more

My mother in law ordered a grill, she thought it was from True Value on State and Bond, so she sent my husband there to pick it up. My husband was treated like complete trash from the time he stepped in the store, because my mother in law got the store wrong, and apparently they didn't like the inconvenience...I've lived near this store since I was 4 and have only been in that store a handful of times, and this is why, they are rude and nasty. Treat your customers better...then maybe you'd get more business. Also very offended to be called Ace Hardware apparently, 2 employees were very nasty when he called it Ace instead of True, he even apologized for the inconvenience he caused them...seems to me like your employees are always having "bad days".
