My car ended up at Gotham several times since it's an authorized repair shop for my insurance company, thereby guaranteeing covered repairs as long as I own the vehicle. The first time was due to my parked car being vandalized. The last two occasions were a result of my catalytic converter being stolen. After the 1st cat theft, however, I brought my car to a different nearby insurance company repair shop, which ended up not a good experience. During the over 7 months it took to get the cat, I had to repeatedly follow up observing that shop wasn't actively checking on the part's availability with their supplier. So on the 2nd cat theft, I instead brought it to Gotham. As with my first Gotham experience, they were on top of things, quickly repairing the vehicle. Less than three months later when victim of a 3rd cat theft, Gotham rapidly inspected the car and did their best to keep the repair bill down. Nevertheless, the estimate ended up triggering the insurance company totaling my car. Sensitive to my frustrating situation, the team at Gotham was professional, courteous, attentive and accommodating - like every experience with them. Gotham thankfully made a difficult situation easier to get through. Should my next car require similar big repair work, I'd consider using them again. read more

I had my 2015 GMC Yukon XL Denali repaired here December 2023 after a collision damaged both sides of the truck. Less than 2 years later, I notice bubbling under the paint on my left side rear quarter panel. I called GCC and was given an appointment to come in and have the issue looked at. When i arrived, I waited and then an "appraiser" came out to look at my vehicle. As soon as he saw the bubbled paint, he said "oh that's rust..." Without a second thought he said rust. But when you look at my truck, it is kept in immaculant condition with not a drop of rust anywhere on my truck. Plus, this is a panel that GCC worked on and repaired and painted because it was damaged in the collision. I said "rust? How?" The "appraiser" said "yeah. " He then put his hand in the wheel well housing and put his finger between the wheelhouse and the liner. He says "oh there is a space between the liner and the panel so water must be getting in there and causing rust..." But I know that the space is normal on all trucks like mine between the top of the liner and the wheelhouse. It's bolted in the front and back but not on top... And, it has never been a problem until GCC worked on it. So, I just said "hmmm, really?" He then ran his finger on the inside of the quarter panel under the wheelhousing liner and said "look, it's rust" and showed me a small brown spot on his finger. I put my hand under the wheelhousing and felt that he was not touching the inside of the quarter panel but was rubbing the inner liner of steel which is welded to the inside of the quarter panel. There are 2 seperate panels of steel and you can feel the crease. At this point I knew I did not want GCC touching my truck again because the repair if any would not be done correctly. I cannot trust them anymore. I say where this was going and just said Thank you. I took my truck to another collision location here in Queens.. One I've dealt with before. I am paying them to fix the issue that GCC caused. I'd rather pay to get if resolved. read more

I have used these guys a couple of times as a cash pay customer. (not through insurance) I'm very happy and satisfied with the whole experience. Both times I dealt with Axel and got exactly the results I wanted. I'm quite particular about how I want things and notice small imperfections. Axel completely understood what I was looking for and got it spot on. I never had an issue but, I get the impression they would look to fix any legitimate problem you have. The second time I used them I picked up the car on a Friday end of day. (getting dark) Next day it rained and I kept the car in the garage. The first opportunity I had to see the car in the sun was Sunday. I could see they did a really nice detail and polish. For a 17 year old car they matched the paint perfect. (rear bumper this time) I was super happy. So happy in fact that I went back over to shake Axel's hand again and thank him the following Monday. When I walked in I could see everyone was concerned and wanted to see if everything was alright? I guess not many people come back to say thanks? I am very disappointed about the service; I called four days ago to get my car fixed, and a girl on the phone, after asking me a couple of questions, suggested I bring the insurance document to the shop to process the work. When I went there it was a different story, the manager said he doesn't accept the insurance I have because he doesn't know this insurance!!? So the lady suggested I file the claim through Geico ( ps: my insurance is Geico. The other party who scratched my car insurance is Kemper, and I was approved to fix the car, and they sent me the approval estimate) when I called Geico the agent said it's bizarre that they did not accept the insurance approval from Kamper, the Geico agent suggest me to go to a different body shop and that's what I did, I use to love this shop but the time changes and the service get bad I think. read more

The only issue left upon delivery was a nagging "check brakes" light, due to a faulty brake sensor. After bringing this up with the team, despite the sensor being damaged from previous work at another shop, they bent over backwards to order a new sensor & install without charging for labor. I recently had my vehicle repaired at Gotham City Collision through my insurance company. They recommend them to repair the damage from multiple large tree branches that fell on top of it, leaving multiple bad scratches all over the vehicle. These branches are as long as three car length. Extremely happy with my decision to take my Honda S2000 to Frank & Juan and the team at their shop in LIC. They have great attention to detail and were able to work the JDM Amuse Legalo bumper to fit to OEM-spec, even though it had some fitment issues around the headlights the hood and the fenders when pre-installed. The paint match is immaculate as they blended in both the hood, the fenders and the doors. The car looks absolutely brand new. Also I had asked them to install and paint an ASM carbon-fiber duckbill spoiler in a custom way which they absolutely executed perfectly, with both paint and clear coat, as well as a Spoon Air Duct, which they did free of charge. Had a pretty nice experience with Gotham after getting into a fender bender. My insurance company told me they were in my network and even though I had no prior dealings with them I had seen them in my neighborhood of LIC so I said why not. Well they kept me apprised of all updates, they were courteous, and even though they ended up taking a little longer than they initially advised, the proof is in the results. They did an amazing job. While I am sure that repairs took a little longer due to COVID-19, they were well worth the wait time. They did a fantastic job! They went above and beyond by not only fixing the damage I came in with but also the other scratches that were on the bumper as well while they were at it. They also detailed the interior of the car which was a nice treat. Staff was attentive and answered my questions. When I called they knew exactly which car was mine. I was given updates via text message as things were happening regularly and the date of when my car was moved up and was reported to me timely. One of the best decisions I've ever made was taking my vehicle here. This shop is professional, friendly, reasonable and knowledgeable. My car was involved in an accident a little over a year ago and made the mistake of not doing my research when it came to who fixed my car. This is my second time taking a car to this shop and all I have to say is BRING YOUR CAR HERE! Very friendly staff who is knowledgable and works with you in order to make sure you are satisfied. Their quality of work is top notch and will not give you your car back with a job that is half finished. The first car I brought here, I asked for a respray of my hood and fenders due to rock chips and paint damage. I ended up selling that vehicle and bought a Ecoboost Mustang. Unfortunately with my new vehicle, my girlfriend was driving and ended up getting sideswiped by a truck. Long story short, the truck was at fault and I knew I needed to repair this as fast as possible. From my past interactions with Gotham, I knew that I would be bringing my car back to this shop. Out standing work I couldn't be happier with their work on my Honda. They work with all insurance and out of pocket. I got my car back for bumper fender work and they went above and beyond. They even did a small detail cleaning in my car. They explained all the work done and verified all changed with paperwork and a walkthrough. I didn't have a good experience. These guys dropped the brand new headlight damaging it in the process and they didn't mention it. They tried buffing out the deep gage scratch but it didn't work. When I took it to the Lexus dealership to change out the ballast they pointed out the replaced headlight was cracked. I called Juan the owner and this guy acted like such a douchbag blaming Lexus when it was his shop who broke the headlight. The door had a chip they poorly repaired, and the door had an annoying squeak whenever it was opened again things these clowns overlook. Juan sold me into repainting all four wheels, took it to one carwash and the paint flaked and fell off in sections of all four wheels. I would never recommend anyone take their car here for any repairs. This dude Juan is full of shit! read more

Best shop in Queens! My daughter had an accident and the door of her Acura Rdx had to be replaced as well as the front fender. She is very particular about her car and when we went to pick it up, she was upset because she noticed that her front bumper was a little off, which proved to be from an accident that the previous owner had. Dropped off the car impromptu without an appointment and they took me right away. The reception was very clean and they even had tv, coffee and water if you have to wait.
