Woman who answers kindly says 'oh i see you here, yes that's fine come on in' I come in at 2.14p after racing down Brentwood. Guy who booked my appt says 'i'm sorry, but we have a 10 min grace period' Me: "She literally just told me to come in?!?" Front desk guy: "She's new, I'm sorry. That's our policy" So who trained her? You? So effectively you are responsible. This is a dumpster fire of a business. Horrible customer service. A dying industry and with a bit of research (I'll post a follow-up this week), one can see just how much $ is being extracted from 'patients' when the assistant is on auto-pilot b/c the tech does all of the heavy lifting. Buy inexpensive glasses at Zenni Optical. Go to Erker's for a prescription. Do not go to Antoine Eye Car in the Galleria Mall in St. Louis Missouri.

They have ordered me trial contacts to really make sure I have a comfortable fit + correct vision, and were emphatic that I can call and get in another fitting appt if these don't work out. I reached out to the Des Peres Eye Center as a new patient. I called the location (Arnold, separate…read morephone number) where I wanted to have my appointment. I confirmed that they took my insurance. When I arrived at my appointment, I learned that it was at the Manchester location. After driving across town to the Manchester location, I informed the receptionist that I called the Arnold location initially, but they set my appointment for the other location, but never told me. And that even though there are separate phone numbers for the two locations, they both go to the Manchester office, but there is nothing noting this. She didn't seem to care or realize the confusion this would cause. I then handed her my insurance card when she informed me that they don't take my insurance. She explained that they take the medical insurance with my company, but not the vision insurance (this is an eye center). At this point, I cancelled my appointment and left. Huge waste of time!
