I am complaining about BILLING. This month I received a bill for service in May 2025. This is the FIRST TIME I HAVE RECEIVED THIS BILL, even though I have been in Clarkson several times since. Today, I received an itemized statement from my insurance and saw Clarkson charged me for a contact fitting which I never had at my annual check up on March 10, this year. My prescription did not change. When I called Billing for help, I waited forever, lots of background noise, hard-to-understand representative, and then we were cut off and she never called me back. Terrible service and wrong charges. Watch your billing! Now, I have to make a trip to Clarkson and probably will get the run around. read more

Dr. Alicia Herrmann was excellent. She took her time, asked questions prior to the exam to find out exactly what my priorities were, and listened to my concerns. She was very thorough. I already researched her background and knew she had over 23 years of experience. I will be requesting her every time I need my examination. The staff was friendly and I did not have to wait long to be seen. The only reason for not giving 5 stars would be that it seemed the front office staff seemed to be doing every role instead of dedicated roles assigned to members ie: checking in, helping clients choose frames, checking out, etc. It seemed a bit chaotic after my exam. I have searched for a competent eye Dr. since I moved to Elizabethtown. My visit to a competitor down the street from Clarkson was a disaster. The staff at Clarkson was professional and personable. Dr. Rebecca Williams was excellent. She took her time ensuring my prescription was correct and that I was completely satisfied. I was very pleased with her process of examining my eyes. I could tell an immediate improvement in my vision after my visit. read more

Bring back Dr. Hall. I have been going to 20/20 eye care for the past 15 years. This new company is now going more towards the medical route and really push for x,y, and z when just there for a annual exam. I will be going elsewhere in the future. read more

The doctors are wonderful but the front desk staff and manager are awful! I can't put each situation into words because I've had so many bad experiences of either being told something incorrectly or someone telling me they would call me back about a situation or problem and never following up. I kept coming back because a friend worked here but now she's gone & my family and I will be looking for a new optometrist. read more

I had a great experience. A very thorough exam and excellent response. I would have given 5 stars, but my glasses sat for weeks before I had to call and see if they were ready. Only hole in the process, so I will be sure to follow up next year. read more

The office was pleasant, as was the staff. When I made my appointment, I gave all of my information and asked that they verify they took my insurance and had everything they needed to bill them. I was told everything looks fine. I get to the office and completed the paperwork and then was told they are out of network for my insurance and it would cost $99. I'm not sure who dropped the ball, but it wasted my time and effort. read more

These guys are top-shelf. The customer service is amazing. Mr. Taylor took extra time and effort in helping me select my frames. When I came back to pick them up, Micha did a great job of getting them to fit just right. Both gave me honest opinions, listened to my thoughts/expectations, answered all of my questions, and were extremely pleasant. I couldn't help but notice the time and effort they took in interacting with all of the customers. I am thoroughly impressed. read more

Poor, poor service. I had an eye exam on August 25th, and I'm still waiting on my glasses. There has been one excuse after another. Today is October 29th- glasses are "now being shipped"- we shall see. I would not recommend this store (I miss 20/20 Eyecare). read more

Worst by far eye care place in town. Blames the customer for things such as insurance verification which was active prior to visit. Too busy buying clothes online and doing a fashion show than to do their work!!! Ignoring customer while making cutecy comments on a kid! Non productive!! Appointment started an hour late!! When it came to the eye exam, they had all the bells and whistles and fancy equipment. But nobody really knew the mechanics of how they operate. I worked in Ophthalmology for over 30 years and I'm so disappointed on how the care was handled. my eye exam was in June it took six weeks to get them the first time. When I got them they weren't correct I saw double vision so they had to be remade. I did not get my glasses picked up until 18 November. Then when I picked him up there was nobody to check how they fit, nobody to properly adjust them, nobody to properly measure the bifocal height on them. There was nobody with any experience there. I've never been so disappointed in any company as I was in this place. I will never go back. Plus they never compensated me anything for all of my trouble. I asked for some eyeglass cleaner. We've gone here for years. Dr Hall is kind, informative and professional. The staff are patient, friendly and helpful. Most have worked there for years. LaWarren at the pick up desk is the best and seems to be training the other guys well to take care of business when he's not there. read more

Although I've had a number of eye exams there, I'd never bought my glasses there until recently. Ugh. Huge mistake. Several months later, I still have difficulty with these lenses. Early on, when I returned to alert them that I had serious concerns (including a fall), the manager said perhaps it was the lens material and they would have new ones made. She took my glasses and walked away, apparently not concerned that I needed glasses to drive! Luckily, I had a ride. When the new lenses came in, no one called me. I had to call them. When I got there, they asked for my frames, which they already had. I had to wait for them to find them so they could put the lenses in. I tried them out for two weeks, but was still having trouble. I returned and I had to pay for another exam. Then I was told I'd bought the lower priced option and really needed the most expensive option. That would have meant that, after discounts, I'd have nearly $475 invested in one pair. The tech said she'd run it by the manager the next day and they'd call me. No surprise. They didn't. These glasses are not perfect, but I'm not going back. Looking for other options. read more

This has to be the best eye care place I have ever been to.My husband and I have been going to them for the last 3 years and they are the most kind,caring and compassionate group of people I have ever encountered when we started going to them I was extremely sick I was fighting M.R.S.A.and I was carrying around a wpund vac machine pumping all that junk out of me we had called them before we went to see them because the eye care place my husband and I have been going to for 10 years treated me horrible and I left out of there in tears my husband went back in and said something to them but a friend at his job told him about 20 20 vision and boy he was right on the money they also take as much time with you picking out the right set of glasses and also completely honest if they don't look good on you they tell you they don't care about the sale they want the customer to look good and feel good in their new glasses the other place we used to go to they would tell you yes they look great on you and then you are your sister and she says where did you get those awful glasses..The 2 gentlemen who work in the back adjusting your glasses are just as kind,caring and compassionate as the others in the office every one greets you with a big beautiful smile..I just want to say thank you all for helping us with our new glasses every year and also they have one of the best selections of eye glasses and for any budget..Lydia and Edward Diego read more

I had a great experience here after breaking my glasses the day before. They got me in, looked at my glasses, found comparable frames, and sent me back out with speed, friendliness, and new frames. I especially enjoyed LT who got my lenses out of the old, broken frames and into new ones before the search for my insurance coverage was complete. It was a testimony of God's grace. read more

When this company was 20/20 Eyecare I loved it. So I hoped it would be the same going in there as Clarkson Eyecare. Nope. The front staff were awful and rude. They were under remodeling construction and it's very small in there but that doesn't excuse their attitudes! I felt very uncomfortable looking at the frames like I was invading their space so I just sat down until after I saw the doctor. The doctor was very very nice!! The front staff need to be replaced or retrained. I couldn't decide between two glasses and the girl helping me rolled her eyes and sat down and said "Let me know when you decide." Eventually a different girl who was not helping me asked me to put them both on and let her see. That shocked me. When I was told my price there was no explanation of charges, I had to ask what it all was. Only after complaining about the price did the girl tell me about a frontline worker discount since I'm a nurse. If this staff is told not to tell about this discount to frontline workers upfront then that's really sad. Go somewhere else people!! read more

It's a shame that I can only give you 5 stars because you are all really worth a million I just wanted to say Thank you for the care my husband Edward and I get each and every time we come in there either to get eye exams from the GREAT optometrist you have especially Dr.Shelton she is WONDERFUL she explains everything that is going on with whatever your condition is and you never leave needing any answers SHE'S So Kind Caring and EXTREMELY COMPASSIONATE and Dr.Hall takes care of Eddie and he's GREAT.And on top of these 2 WONDERFUL people the entire staff (Christian)the office manager is always there making sure you get everything you need done and the GREAT FUN LOVING group of young women Dana who always cushions the blow to Eddie about why my glasses always costs a little more than his lol and Linda Christin ,Linda alway ask how are doing,and last but not least The 2 NICE YOUNG MEN who help us with our glasses and adjusting them not to mention helping you when you break your EXPENSIVE Burberry eye glasses that got destroyed you Micah and Lawarreen for everything you do.I always leave here with a BIG SMILE on my face they also have a GREAT atmosphere its GREAT everyone has a BIG BEAUTIFUL SMILE on their face and greet you by your name it really means alot to a customer when they remember your name and face and also you can actually see that each and every one of these FINE GROUP of people really LOVE and are EXTREMELY HAPPY with their job and it really shows..I LOVE you all and Thank's for all you do.. read more

This place is unsanitary, The equipment is old, everything is dirty, from the doors to the glasses on the shelves. The staff there are pretty rude, and very unprofessional, you have foul language and staff is always outside taking a cigarette break and the place just stinks. The only people who were nice, was the eye doctor, and the guy in the back who fixes the glasses. I would not recommend this place. gross read more

I'm only giving them 4 stars because of the doctors and Mr. Taylor. They are lucky to have such great doctors and mr. Taylor because the office staff hospitality and professionalism is lacking. While waiting for your exam expect to be in awe of them talking about patients,about personal issues, or just being very rude in general. The only time I have ever went in there and have been treated some what like a customer they may want to keep has been when the boss (blonde haired lady) is behind the counter. If she's not there just pray you are having a good day so you aren't so offended by their bad attitudes . I would not go here if it weren't for the doctors. You should not have to pay good money to be treated like crap. My advice would be to clean house behind that counter especially with the mid 40's brunette who talks down to everyone that walks in. Sorry you have a chip on your shoulder ma'am and feel the need to be so rude maybe you should look into to doing something where you are no where near people or customer service. It's a shame the doctors have such crappy staff. read more
