My most recent visit was on 8/30/2018. I had a Thursday evening appointment so I could come after work. Although I showed up a little late (boo traffic), I was checked in promptly and began the exam with nearly 0 wait time. I saw Dr. Gogel (spelling might be wrong) for the first time. I was anxious because I've been seeing Dr. Olund for a few years and was unsure what to expect. Dr. Gogel is a ROCKSTAR. She absolutely crushes it! She is super friendly, super kind, and explains everything. She took the time to review my medical history before my appointment and did not need me to explain a lifetime of vision problems. You can't go wrong here. The staff is amazing. They truly care about the experience their patients have and strive to achieve greatness in the service they provide. I cannot recommend Focus Eyecare Center enough. I shopped for optometrists for about 10 years before meeting Dr. Olund. I vividly remember my first appointment with her. When I moved out of Southern Indiana I was extremely concerned about my eye care. I truly believe no one is better so I make the commute (only from Louisville, but it's across state lines lol). If you are in the market for a new optometrist, these are your ladies. There is no one better. read more

This eyecare clinic is staffed by the kindest and caring professionals I have had the privilege to do business with. They offer terrific service. On three occasions they have gone above the expected service and gave me glasses repair without charging for them. They are respectful of your time, unlike the monolithic giant behemoth eyecare center with about 30 doctors on staff that will make a person wait for 2 hours or more to be seen after the appointment time. The entire staff makes you feel like family from the first time you visit. They always ask about me, my wife, and really take the time to get to know their customers as people. You just don't get that many places nowadays. When it comes to the appointments, they are always prompt with getting you in and out showing that they value your time. If I have any questions or issues with new contacts, I am always scheduled the same day. The office staff is top notch. At my first visit about a year and a half ago, Dr. Amstutz recommended for me contacts that I have been more please with than any I have had previously over many years. At my recent visit for an annual exam, the entire experience from start to finish was again excellent. I particularly appreciate the Retinal Photos. Dr. Amstutz emails a copy of the photos, Any primary care physician and many specialists would find these images very helpful in caring for a patient for many reasons, so I advise getting them and sharing them with your physicians.
