The office staff was stellar, though I found Dr. Hegyi to be a bit brisk. I was a walk-in today, so I was grateful that I could be accommodated quickly. I was a first timer to this location today, and I would not visit again, unfortunately. The front area looks like it has been renovated or updated fairly recently, but the building is old. The exam rooms are showing their age, and are not well insulated for sound, making them not as private as I'd prefer. The form I was asked read and sign, pre-appointment, could've been straight out of a comic strip... It was a copy of a copy of a copy, it appeared. Black and white, double-sided, and really streaky vertically. Almost impossible to read a line of it, especially given that I was there because I misplaced my last pair of readers a couple of hours before I walked in. So I asked the receptionist about the content, and the purple highlighted sections where I was to sign or initial, assuming it was typical pre-exam patient release form legalese. (It was.) BTW, I went in for a preventative annual eye exam, and as I only wear readers, I'm unable to speak to the experience of purchasing glasses there. Overall, a meh on the exam. read more

Spent a long time picking out my frames. They were marked and measured. Then when I came back to pay for them they couldn't find them. After 2 days I got a phone call saying they found my frames. They had not. They pulled a similar pair off the shelf and tried pass them off as my frames. It was an absolute lie. This entire process was an absolute fiasco. And this will be my last visit to Clarkson Eye Care. read more

The staff has been very pleasant and helpful both times I have been at this location. One was November 2023 and the second being today. Both times they got me in the same day I called to remove an ingrown eyelash. The doctor who treated me was also very pleasant. From my experience, I really don't understand the other, less desirable ratings given. read more

Tech and doctor both unpleasant personalities. You would think they would want to have a new patient return. Not really concerned about my eyewear prescription problem. A new game plan would have been helpful. I don't recommend this location. read more

My dr Pam Coslick retired after many years and the last 2 years Dr. O Brian has done a great job so far. What impresses the most is the staff here is very professional, but also kind and helpful when dealing with rebates, picking out classes and making sure you are happy and satisfied. read more

I visited this Clarkson Eyecare on 18/31/2018. Right away I should have known this was going to be terrible and should have walked right back out the door. They couldn't even seem to figure out how to lookup and use both of the eye insurances that I have. But eventually after escalating to billing and a supervisor they claimed they figured it out. Well to my surprise I got a bill on 7/3 for $57. I paid it as it was a difference in tax. Then I get another bill for the same amount a month later. Same amount. I call billing and they explain that's not the balance it's actually $32 and after looking into it she notifies me it appears the account t was never sent to insurance. So here I am 6 requests for billing clarification later finally with a bogus answer. The office didn't correctly charge me from day 1, and a YEAR+ later I'm finally seeing the bill for this. Oh and to make matters worse, when they send you a bill it's not itemized so you have no clue what it is actually for. AND if you get more than one par of glasses they put them on separate accounts and separate invoices making things even more complicated. Not to mention the attitude I got from almost every representative along the way, this is inexcusable and Clarkson should be eating this money since they clearly don't train their employees well enough to correctly bill their patients. DO NOT GO TO CLARKSON EYECARE. EXPENSIVE. RUDE. INACCURATE BILLING. ITS A NIGHTMARE AND SCAM EVERY STEP OF THE WAY. read more

I've been here for the past few years. I'm very happy with the Doctors and eye exam. I am chagrined by the high price of glasses, but I knew to expect that. The huge disappointment for me is the fact they don't file insurance for you-but say they do! I was told on my last visit with my wife that they would file insurance for one of us but "use the discount" on the other pair to save money. Thanks! ...but no insurance filing leaves me liable for charges and denies me reimbursement from an HSA! I'll go back for the exam (they don't file either), but not be buying anymore glasses there. read more

I had a 10:10 appointment for my son, we walked in at 10:05 and the receptionist tells me that they have no doctor today and they will have to reschedule. Really? No doctor at Clarkson Eyecare? No notice? She said she tried to call to let me know; I checked my phone and had a missed call from seven minutes earlier (while I was driving). Nice 12 minute advanced notice... She then tells me that there are no other appointments available at any of the surrounding locations. Glad I took the day off work so that I could get my son's Eyecare needs taken care of... Fortunately, America's Best was right around the corner and, after telling my story, they were willing to accommodate me. We have four eyeglass/contact wearers in my family. Apparently they don't respect or value my time as much as I respect theirs. Looks like we'll no longer be customers of Clarkson. read more

She was very knowledgeable, any questions are concerns I had she was able to address with professionalism, and knowledge. Thank you Torianne, your awesome. After having been to two other eye care places, Clarkson Eyecare was a breath of fresh air. As soon walked through the door we were greeted with a friendly face at the desk. I told her we were just looking for glasses as I already had a prescription from my doctor. She pointed us in the direction and let us roam. While someone was always available for a quick question, there was no hovering or stalking feelings. When I had two frames and sunglasses picked out along with my son's pair of glasses, Irene jumped in and immediately started looking up my benefits. Even after having a difficult time pulling up the info and having to call to verify, she remained pleasant and apologetic for the wait. We even had to call my eye doctor to verify the script as it was hand written and she was determined to make sure she read it correctly. She combined the current promotion with my benefits and was able to save me a ton of money. The office officially closed at 1pm (On Saturday) and we were there until close to 1:30p. We felt bad making them stay late, but they never made us feel rushed. We even witnessed another person trying to come in after the office was closed. The other technician opened the door and asked how she could help. The person had tried to make it sooner from a memorial because she wanted to take advantage of the current promotion that ended that day. The technician showed great care and offered to give her the promotion rate if she came back on Monday instead since they were already closed. Every person in that office came across as very professional and caring. I will never go anywhere else and will highly recommend this office to everyone that needs eye care. In a world where customer service tends to fall short, congratulations to Clarkson Eyecare for getting it right! read more

Though my initial experience left me less than satisfied, I was very impressed with the follow-up from their social media representative after my review. After working with the Office Manager, and going in to be rechecked, they made the appropriate corrections to my glasses and now everything is perfect! The 2 star rating is because of their billing department. They have been trying overcharge both my wife and I. For me it was my co-pay. I talked to a very stubborn bone-headed woman at billing several times who would not listen. I finally took the bill to the store where a very helpful lady easily and quickly solved the problem. My wife recently received a bill for a pair of glasses she returned a year ago. There is no outstanding debt for the returned glasses. That was taken care of long ago. They have sent the bill twice now. But again, a very stubborn bone-headed woman at billing will not listen. read more

I have been going to see Dr Fada for several years. I am extremely difficult to fit with the proper contact lens prescription. Dr Fada has alway been more than patient and had always gone above and beyond. I have referred several friends to him and they have experienced the same service. read more

I took my 90 yr old mother in to have her prescription filled and they were wonderful! Veronica was patient and helpful explaining options to my mom. They made certain before we started that they were covered by her insurance and explained the benefits to her. I appreciate the time spent helping. Hopefully, going back for the glasses will be just the same. I don't see why not! read more
