Came here for a birthday brunch and when sitting with the rest of our party it took a long minute for our waitress to ask us what we wanted to drink. We were the only other people that were in the restaurant when we sat down. It took the waitress (ximena) to finally come over to us and ask us for our drink order. After we go our drinks a refill of ice tea, 2 waters, 2 sodas (one regular and one kids), and a michelada for the birthday girl. While waiting on our drinks it took a very long time but by the time we got them we all got our drinks but was given just a bottle of beer instead of the michelada. Before we ordered we asked if we can get another basket of chips, when we finally ordered our food and not long after we finally got a glass for the beer that had everything else that the michelada came with. We finally got our plates after waiting quite a while but were missing one plate for a long while. We finally got our last plate never got the chips and our waitress didn't acknowledge us the rest of the time we ate not even asking how the food was tasting nothing. We all felt very ignored by her and felt disrespected by her. We were finally able to get her attention for a refill on waters, when we did we called her out on never getting our chips. While we started eating a group came into the restaurant and our waitress spent her whole time checking on them if they needed anything or whatever. After we were finishing up our meals and drinks we asked for the checks. When we finally get the checks the waitress just flings them on the table and walks away. We saw that as very unprofessional and unacceptable! After we filled out our checks the checks were there for quite a while until she finally came to pick them up. The service here was very disrespectful and servers need to be trained better! I wish I can give this place zero stars because one star feels to generous based on the experience we received.

This is for the location on Zaragoza Rd. I had high hopes for this place. The aesthetics of this place is cute and fun, however the food on the other hand is a different story. The only thing that was great was our server Andrea! She was great, friendly, and very helpful. We started off with the toro eggs and is supposedly supposed to be a favorite. It looks good but we were very disappointed that we didn't even finish it. The bacon was crispy but the filling inside is flavorless. We also got the appetizer sampler and holy cow it came with a ton of food! The only thing about that was all of it was pretty plain and bland. We also got the chicken fajitas tacos as well as the arrachera tacos and sirloin tacos. The good thing about this place that they didn't put on the menu is that you can mix and match tacos! The chicken was flavorless as well as the arrachera. The arrachera seemed overcooked and was hard to chew. The sirloin was okay, it had some flavor but also seemed a little overcooked as well. We also got a side of fries, which is probably the only thing I liked from what we ordered.

The food is very good over here. I used to frequent the food truck many years ago when the owner was just getting started. The establishment is small but inviting. The only knock is that the music playing is WAYYYYYY too loud for the area and service was very slow. I do not like having to get up and ask for a refill of tea. It's a little pricey for Mexican food but great clamatoes and full bar available.

In El Paso on business and stopped by Clasico off a recommendation from a coworker. This place is pretty damn good. I ordered a the Chuky fries as an appetizer and the arrachera tacos. Be careful ordering appetizers here as they give you enough to feed a small village in Africa! Both the appetizer and the entree were great, and the arrachera was very flavorful. Make sure to come here on an empty stomach because the portion sizes are HUGE! Easy on the wallet and the waitstaff were helpful and very friendly. Happy eating, my foodies!

I was wanting to love this place. It was dog friendly and the night we went had cool breeze for outside seating. Unfortunately we didn't enjoy the evening. Now I know this is probably not their fault unless they feed it, but there was a stray cat walking around. Not good when you have a dog. Lol. But I'm happy they let dogs even sit outside. Once greeted the food came out really fast. Unfortunately when this happens the first thing I think about is the product isn't made to order. For an appetizer we got the toro eggs. The bacon was fine as it's hard to mess that up but the jalapeño was incredibly chewy. Item was warm. I ordered the chicken fajitas tacos. Basically it's a bed of 4 corn tortilla with earlier made chunks of chicken with a few slightly grilled green onions. It did not taste good. It was crazy bland. They do give some dips so that helped. I ended up forgetting about the tortillas as they fell apart due to the wetness. I'm thinking the container they store the chicken in and they scooped too much liquid out with the chicken. Meal was cold. Wife got the mushroom tacos. She said they were sautéed in oil but no seasoning at all. No salt. No pepper. Basically you get cooked mushrooms and a tortilla. Nothing else. I would avoid eating outside. As soon as we got our food. We were greeted by no less than 30 flies. I get it, I'm outside, what should I expect. All I'm doing is warning you, if you sit outside, you will regret it.

Yummy and full of flavor a plus is the great service but no pineapple I visited when the place was not busy and really enjoy it

Swung by here just cause we were close by and had never had their food before. I ordered the chicken salad and he ordered the potato with arrachra and the alambre tacos. The food came out very quickly and the portions are huge for the price. I would totally recommend this place. The menu seems to be very large and diverse.

We are just leaving from a wonderful, stuffing experience. This was our first time giving this place a try. There were a few things we wanted to try so we ended up ordering the Classico Sampler. This included Quesadillas, Toro eggs, two baked potatoes, guacamole and pico, and a large portion of meat which I think was called Castill... It was an appetizer and I'm glad that is all we ordered for our main meal. It was SO MUCH FOOD! The quality was great and we didn't have to use any salt or pepper to taste. One thing I read on here was that they charge for extra dressings and what not, and they do. With that being said, the menu states that extras cost certain amounts so I read that there, too. I ended up ordering a Mango Michelado Chamoy too with a Corona. I know Classico is known for these and their Clamatos so I had to try one to give an honest review. Way to take one for the team, right? So good. I like that you get to pick your beer and choose from many of the options of flavors. With that being said, all restaurant experiences are made by the wait staff. Our servers name was Alex. We were the first customers of the day to get there. Very quickly other customers came in and started getting seated. It was very noticeable that Alex was the only one serving but you would've never have guessed that from the service we had. My kids even liked him. We will absolutely had a great experience and will be back again very soon.

I have heard so many good things about this place and today was the first place I went. I was not disappointed. We ordered the toro eggs and queso fundido with rajás as appetizers. I was really pleased with the many options available that were vegetarian. I ordered veggie tacos and my boyfriend ordered the norteño burger. Everything tasted great! What I liked the best was the micheladas and clámalos they make. Ordered the Miche chamoy with a Sol beer, I was a little skeptical at first but it tastes like a paleta or a pulparindo...Delicious. The staff was nice, not as chatty or friendly as some other places but overall very attentive and polite. I will definitely be going back here, so glad I finally tried it.

Went to the new location on Zaragoza , shrimp tacos were more veggies than shrimp. Sirloin tacos tasted like they were made in an elementary school cafeteria. Burgers aren't seasoned AT ALL. I wish they'd add a nice sauce or some chile con queso. I know they're only known for their amazing clamatos , but if they're going to serve food then at least TRY to make it worth it. read more

My favorite item is the quesadilla! The cheese inside is thick and ooey gooey and the flour tortilla is nice and fluffy. The quesadilla comes with a creamy red salsa that is on the spicier side and pairs perfectly with the fresh pico and cucumbers served with it. The tacos are good, but I am not sure if they are worth $9. You get a decent amount of meat, but it comes with a side of baked potato or charro beans. Both are unremarkable. So at the end of the day, you are spending that much on the weight of the meat, which is unimpressive. I recommend the arrachera tacos because they are seasoned well and more tender than the other meats. This place is known for Micheladas, so all of the menu items complement these drinks really nicely. It's a great spot to relax with friends! It has the atmosphere of a bar and restaurant combined. read more

Not from el paso stopped by on my cousins recommendation and glad we did .The service was great we were greeted and seated right away, our server also made recommendations. Food was delicious and didnt take to long family friendly but cool place also just to come hang out with friends. Thanks again will be back on another trip :) read more

Drove a good 20 minutes to order some food from Classico. We paid $20 for two quesadillas that on the menu claim to be "stuffed" with mozzarella cheese. However, take a look at the photo. It's like I ordered a quesadilla with no cheese. Extremely disappointed, especially for the price paid. read more

Host told us to sit wherever. After we sat ourselves, we remained at the table for 10 min. My friend got up and alerted the servers that were congregated in the corner talking that we hadn't been helped. We got the sampler and the wings came out still frozen.. yikes. Ordered some paleta shots before our dinner.. let's just say we didn't get our shots until we were halfway through our entrees. Had to frequently ask for water and napkins. Service ruined the entire experience. After asking some friends, apparently this place is known for crappy service. Definitely regret spending $96 here. Do better! read more

I have changed my rating to 5 stars, please read the comment left under my original review by possibly the manager? THIS is exactly the response that I appreciate. I may have been burnt out from eating there 4 times a week from my friends, yet there was still a reason that I always brought newcomers to this location. It had that strong of an impact on me. After a little cool down time, I will return and enjoy all of it in its glory, sit outside under the beautiful lights outside, and remember how the lovely person responded to this post. He could have played the "blame game" but instead took it in such a positive manner, here are those 2 extra stars Clasico deserves. read more

Been here a couple times now, an upscale-style Mexican restaurant, with surprisingly good prices for what it is. I absolutely love the chips and salsa they give you at the beginning. And my tacos both times I've been here have been outstanding. Staff have always been great too. read more

We ordered the ribeye chicharron and the clasico sampler, very disappointing. the waitress did not know if the meat was pork or beef and the taste of the food was awful, the meat was hard and tasted like burnt cooking oil. The service was mediocre and the ambiance was basic. Don't waste your money eating here. read more

Beware of bad service. Came to this bar as it was highly recommended. We were greeted upon entering, seated by the host given menus & that was the last time someone attended us for about 15mins. 4 other parties that were seated after us got menus & drinks before anyone ever attended us. The place was not busy upon us entering & plenty of staff. They also were out of the beer we requested that was on the menu, along with one of the sides we ordered. If you want good service, this place ain't it. read more

Can we talk about a $6 drink that feels like a meal? The mango michelada is so good my mouth waters on the almost 4 hour drive from Albuquerque to El Paso just thinking about it. There is so much goodness, the diced mango, the chili rim, the hot tamarind straw, the lime juice and the "you call it" Mexican beer. Take it all in and then order some food- tacos, nachos, quesadillas, queso fundido, potato chips with hot sauce, a salad if you fancy one...or just order another michelada. read more

Best Michelada (Red Beer) I've had in El Paso and trust me I've been on the look out! It was so good, I forgot to take a picture. And I never forget to do that. I enjoyed it very much. I ordered the "Hangover" without the clams. I also had their Toro Eggs. YES PLEASE! These are so good! Get two orders. The only thing that sucked was our waiter. He took forever. The table that was seated way after us received their drinks and ordered their food while we waited for our waters. I should add - the other waiter beside us noticed and helped us out, which is great customer service. Great save, guy. Overall - great spot to chill and have a massive red beer at. read more

The atmosphere was great last night but as always the location ie the parking. After all these years no parking upgrade. The service was great up till when he gave me the tab and he forgot about us. This place was actually pretty good for the most part but I feel a little under satisfied to be honest. I heard about this place from one of my friends who live locally and zoomed on over here! It's kinda like a little hangout bar, like trendy and small which I can appreciate it but it was pretty hot inside and I was sweating the whole time we were there. They could benefit from using some fans and the tables were a bit sticky. Service was quick and the young man who took our order was friendly. I think the food on Yelp looked cool but in person it was underwhelming. We ordered a platter with a little bit of everything. The jalepeno wrapped in bacon was pretty good, the baked potato need more butter and the quesadilla was uneventful. I also wished that the "guacamole" was seasoned because it was just a hunk of avocados buried in lettuce. However, the tripitas tacos were great! Nice and crispy, with a fair amount of meat. My friend also enjoyed her shrimp tacos. Overall? I'm not sure I would go back too soon but I wouldn't deter anyone who may be interested, perhaps I just came on a bad day. read more

All the food was great, the red beer was wonderful, it was reasonably priced, service was on point, great atmosphere, and we left fulllllll! Horrible customer service. sat for 15 minutes without someone getting our drinks, advice that the toro eggs were cold they didn't bother to replace them or remove them from check. Asked for salsa roja and failed to bring it out. don't waste your money read more

Been here several times! The menu is awesome!!!! Super casual place to have great food at good prices the ambiance is always great for families or dinner and drinks with friends. Service is usually pretty good staff has always been super friendly.... and did I mention the food was awesome? On top of it all if you're hurting after a long of drinking this is definitely the place to go. The beers there will fix you right up!!! I always take people from out of town here and I've NEVER seen anyone leave disappointed! read more

Date Night. My girlfriend and I left the kids with their grandparents and it was adult dinner time I.e. no pizza or burger. We started with Nachos adding beef and beer while my girlfriend had a Mexican favorite set up Mango Miche. This place has a large number of similar set ups and beers. The nachos we plain not much of a kick with the added beef. Tacos were the focus of the night. I had al pastor and girlfriend had sirloin. Upon receiving the child's portion of tacos, I ordered another of tripitas. The sirloin tacos were good yet pastor needed more of the spices and rub on the meat. The Tacos come with salsa and beans or baked potato. The second order of tacos, tripitas, were well cooked (doraditas) for the first taco yet couldn't be said for the rest of them. The night was great due to my lovely girlfriend yet the food left much to be desired especially for the price ($66 + tip). I do not see myself going there soon. read more

Clasico was a serendipitous discovery after hearing several advertisements for it on a local radio station. All it took for my partner and I to be absolutely hooked on this place was a michelada and a plate of the super nachos. They are very generous with the michelada seasonings and the end product is icy flavorful. The super nachos come loaded with ingredients and we always get half chicken and half arrachera steak. They are absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the Mango Michelada after trying it during our second visit. I can imagine it gets extra busy during summer and it's a small establishment, so I would avoid during peak hours. Can't wait to try more of their fare and drinks! read more

Two years after my last review. Visited on Sunday afternoon. This place is still the same, the menu appears unchanged. However, the server staff is...well, just plain unfriendly. Maybe they don't like working on Sundays? Tough to be in the service business and not provide good customer service: several tables had to flag down a server to get help. read more

Great little michelada place. Part of a evolution of sorts where the michelada meets Bloody Mary meets shrimp cocktail. Very good and very great flavors. We tried the mango chamoy, tamarindo chamoy, and shrimp clamato. Place is small so be ready to wait on busy nights. Didn't try the food but did look good. read more

If you like cheap greasy food go there.! We would of been better off at taco cabana. I order sirloin tacos the sirloin was so cheap and it was mostly all fat I had to return them so I got the barbacoa and wow it was so so greasy I couldn't even eat it. the only good thing was the ice tea and the service . I would not recommend this place. P.s I got the charo beans and the bowl was broken so all the juice was spilling on my plate read more

I ordered the nachos, which used to be good in the past, but now they are horrible. I couldn't even find a tostada that had cheese on it as it was all mostly beans. Then when I actually did find the cheese it had no flavor. Completely tasteless nachos! And no I don't have Covid, these nachos just plain suck!!! read more

Been to this place every time I visit from LA, I love the Clamatos preparados. I told the Family who came down from LA for a funeral about this place and they loved it. Hopefully next they come down we can actually go and dine in. I'm sure they are good love the drinks too. read more

This is probably my favorite place to get tacos in El Paso. The nachos Classico with chicken was a great starter and the tacos pastor and arrachera are good to share! Not so great for kids who are picky eaters but our toddler was happy with a cheese burger. Overall the service was great and will go back again! read more

Only he thinks to himself, "Self, I should really go check this place out; if, for nothing else, than for their wings and fries. And pool." Well, 2 out of 3 of those things ended up checking out. And I also managed to try out even more at this contemporary bar (albeit mostly food). However, the best way to do each and every item justice would be to rate each individually and accordingly. Since Brew's menu both impressed and overwhelmed me in choices all at once, I decided to do a sampling of sorts. So the wife and I proceeded to order potato skins, buffalo wings, a 7 inch cheese pizza and fries. The rating scheme ranks as follows.. I would give the potato skins a 6 out of 10, the wings a 9 out of 10, the fries a solid 10, and the pizza a 5 out of 10. Now that I've got the boring number stats out of the way, onto the part you guys care about; how I came up with such diverse ratings. First off, the potato skins immediately reminded me of the ones I had at Hudson's. Decent enough, but they could have used a touch of salt. Also, these particular skins were inexplicably served with a side of ranch dressing as opposed to sour cream. I realize that some folks believe ranch goes with EVERYTHING, but...I don't get it. Whatever. Moving on.. Second, the pizza. Look, I gotta be as generously grateful as possible that this pizza didn't completely tank my expectations. But...*sigh*...what is the best way to put this? Brew's so-called "brick oven pizza" is like what school cafeteria pizza would taste like IF the school cooks actually gave a crap about making half-way edible pizza. If you don't understand that, then let's just say...it didn't suck by any means. It just wasn't anything close to brick oven style or even being remotely epic. Clearly, pizza isn't this bar's specialty. Third, their wings. Sweet mother of mercy! These bad boys have some true potential. Again, whilst ostensibly being served with ranch, I requested some blue cheese instead and let's just say...Heaven ropes parted. Their fries are phenomenally perfect! I only wish I had noticed they also serve fish n' chips before ordering what I ordered. Ah well. Next time. Unfortunately, we didn't shoot any pool due to the fact that they harbor one lonely pool table placed inconveniently inside another room which looks like a third dining room of sorts. One caveat I must toss out there: this place is loud. Like...hella loud! Though, to be fair, part of that has to do with their in-built digital Jukebox; which can conveniently be controlled by a remote app called "TouchTunes". Also, their free WiFi is surprisingly fast, considering how crowded this place can get on a Friday night. Check it out! I'm not completely sure what menu item I'll sample next. But I DO know this place will be a definite revisit for date night. BSPE is worthy of 4 spicy buffalo wings covered in chunky blue cheese out of 5.

I had just come down from a Tom Lea gallery event upstairs and the restaurant was packed. I figured it was a long shot, but they still found a way to seat me. Service stayed friendly even with the rush, which I always notice. The burger was easily one of the best I've had in El Paso. Clearly handcrafted, cooked right, super juicy, really flavorful. What impressed me most was the bun actually held everything together instead of falling apart halfway through like most gourmet burgers do. At about $20, it felt justified. One thing worth noting, especially if you're into spirits: they have one of the largest tequila and mezcal collections around. Definitely a destination spot if that's your thing. I tried their carajillo but found out they add Baileys, which made it sweeter than I usually prefer. Not bad at all, just more dessert-leaning than my taste. Live music from Jordan Taylor was happening that night too, which made the whole atmosphere feel elevated without being stuffy. Because that first visit stuck with me, I went back recently to try their lunch special with a friend. For $26 you get an appetizer, entrée, sides, guacamole, tostadas, and dessert. It's honestly a great way to try a range of dishes without committing to just one plate. Funny enough, it doesn't look like a huge amount of food at first... but we were completely stuffed by the end, so kudos to them for balancing portions well while still giving variety. Standouts: * The octopus cocktail appetizer was excellent. Bright, fresh, good texture. * Carne asada was cooked exactly right. Tender but still had bite like a proper steak. * Mushroom components in several dishes were surprisingly flavorful. * Desserts were a highlight. The arroz con leche arancini especially. Crispy outside, creamy inside, not overly sweet. Very well done. Some things were more middle-of-the-road: * Salmon dish leaned bland, lots of texture but not much flavor. * Guacamole tasted a bit acidic. * Goat cheese in the enchiladas was subtle to the point of disappearing. * Corn and mashed potatoes were fine but nothing memorable. Timing was reasonable. Food came out in about 20 minutes, but with a full meal you'll want to plan roughly an hour to an hour and a half total if you're not rushing. One practical perk: they validate parking at the Plaza garage next door, which downtown absolutely needs more of. Overall, beautiful space, solid service, some really strong dishes, and a few that could use more punch. Still very much worth checking out, especially if you're downtown already or want a nicer but still relaxed lunch or dinner spot. I was internally livid and exhausted but kept it to my self after seeing the owner or manager who we the guy with the white hair over at the bar enjoying a few alcoholic beverages meanwhile his restaurants service and waitstaff to the worst possible job they can. I saw the people who got the most attention and good service were all regulars sitting at the bar laughing it up with the manager/owner older guy. Why not make sure your restaurant is running smoothly and food is being delivered and prepared properly and stop trying to impress the regulars who most likely will show up either way. Any restaurant that is this unorganized and unmotivated is due to crappy management. All this and the waiter is like I'll comp you for the steak sandwich with a discount for the bad service and salmon which was a whopping $5. I don't want a discount I don't want free day old desserts I want good service and decent food. Discounts and free desserts will never fix the problem because it will always be a crutch for trashy customer service. How about stop drinking with the guests and whoop that staff into semi decent shape buy some high chairs and make sure your expo does a once over quality check on the food and time it takes to get to the table EVEN if that means stepping in and doing it yourself. The restaurant is dark the tables are sticky the whole place is very compact . Perfect and quite attractive after 5-6 wines for sure. I'm sure the food is outstanding after a few drinks as well . They gave us a $25 dollar gift card to return which if I could I'd give to the owner so he could experience the same horrible food and service we did. I wouldn't even give the gift card to someone I hated. This was one of the first times in a long time I didn't just let it slide because I understand all restaurants and people have bad days but this was exceptionally bad. If you are thinking it can't be that bad think again it absolutely can. The whole "I'm sorry we usually have awesome service and everyone loves our food it's probably just me and my family " is laughable . This isn't my first time here while visiting El Paso. The food is getting worse.
