On 5/24, I called Class Appliance on Clearwater Largo Rd in Largo to diagnose why my 2020 Samsung washer wouldn't drain. Their repairman arrived on 5/26 in an older Ford Focus wearing street clothes. After approximately 20 minutes and never moving the washer, unplugging, or shutting off the water supply, seeing the same error message I had seen that could have indicated several issues. His findings confirmed it needed a He handed me a quote, which included a new drain pump costing $119.99 that Class Appliance ordered on 5/24 and $289.00 for labor. ($437.58) I declined, paid a $99 service fee, went online, and purchased a new Samsung washer. While online, I learned the standing water problem is typically a drain issue. Like a lid switch, a kinked or twisted drain hose, a clogged drainpipe, or a clogged, broken drain pump. Things never diagnosed by Class Appliance's $99 service fee. I also found a YouTube video explaining by simply unplugging, shutting off the water, moving the washer a few inches, straightening the drain hose, and hooking my shop vac to the drain hose. Possibly, a fix or a will at least let you know if a new drain pump is needed. I did as instructed, and thirty minutes later, the washer worked perfectly. The next day I called Class Appliance and spoke to Tony, asking for an explanation for a $437.58 quote and a refund of my $99 service fee. I told him after using my shop vac, the washer worked perfectly. His reasons and excuses were so ridiculous. Telling me he wasn't allowed to do that and it would last. I remind him his quote sheet states a "30-day parts and labor warranty - no expectations"! I lost control and told him to keep my $99, and I'll spread the word. Class Appliance is a very good example of a very bad company. According to Internet articles, replacing the drain pump in a washing machine is surprisingly simple. Anyone who knows me would never consider me mechanically competent. However, having purchased a new washer. And finding similar used Samsung washers going for as much as $500, I gave it a try. On the 26th, I ordered a genuine replacement pump with a lifetime warranty delivered the next day that cost $30.00. On the 29th, using a screwdriver, a socket wrench, and long nose pliers. Mr. YouTube and I replaced the drain pump in 40 minutes of actual work time. Class Appliance charging $289.00 for labor to replace a drain pump is equivalent to $7.00 a minute! On the 30th, Tony called three times, hanging up on him twice. The third time I let him talk. Not aware I had already replaced the drain pump. I asked about the $119.99 drain pump cost and why it was so pricy, and the only option I tried to find out his hourly labor rate asked about the $99 service fee. His answers were nonsense and made-up excuses. Constantly saying he wasn't a criminal and was in business for 40 years. I told Tony to send me $50 bucks and have a wonderful life. They offer financing at 29.99%. So, if you buy a $3500 appliance financed over five years, you pay nearly $7,000 for an already overpriced $3500 appliance. Should you seek a remedy in a court of law, it will be your responsibility to pay their legal fees, governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. I had a great experience working with Tony. I was searching for a Frigidaire dishwasher that was local and called multiple places before finding Tony at Class. He sent me an email with links to the 4 models he had in the warehouse and I simply chose the one I wanted and he took my credit card over the phone. Very simple! He communicated with me about the delivery, but then the dishwasher wasn't delivered when it was supposed to and Tony wasn't aware of the issue. Then the delivery happened ABs the installer didn't have the mounting bracket for granite countertops. Seems like that would be standard stuff. I would not recommend using Class Appliance for repair work. I found the company on the LG website as a local repair service for LG Appliances. I had a burner that would only heat on the outside ring, not the center element. The technician did not do anything to diagnose the problem with my 4 year old stove top, he guessed that it needed a switch because that is a common problem. That was my mistake, I should have paid the service fee and sent him away, I knew it was a burner. After he replaced the switch and the same problem was present, he tried to convince me it was fine. He called into the store, spoke to Tony and their solution was to clean the stove with Bar Keepers Friend and try to use the burner. Needless to say, Bar Keepers Friend did not repair the burner. I called another local repair company, the technician came out meticulously took the stove apart, put a tester to the burner, confirmed it was not working, ordered the part and repaired it. My LG washer was leaking cold water (from inside) dripping down to bottom of the tub. The washer was off when this happened. Information from Google seemed to suggest that the water inlet valve was defective. I called Class appliance (Jen) on Friday (3 days ago) and relayed my issue. She said a technician would be available on Monday to look at the washer. I gave the model # of my washer and advised that I suspected that the water inlet value may be faulty. I gave her the LG washer model number and asked her if she could please check to see if they had the part in house. She did not confirm that the part was available and said that the technician might have that part in his truck. Sunday evening Darsh (the technician) called me to give me a time window. I explained my suspicions about the water intake valve and asked if he had the part in his vehicle. He was not sure. Monday morning I called Class Appliance and again talked to Jen. I told her that the part was available at Appliance Depot in Clearwater and that if Class Appliance did not have the part, I could buy it and have it available when the technician arrived. She said she would get back to me. She never returned my call. Darsh arrived at noon Monday. He told me that he sent an email to the store asking if the store had the part. He said that no one from the store responded to his request. After opening the housing, he said that he did not have the part. He called the store (Class Appliance) and they confirmed (finally) that they did not have the part. This was a 100% store (staff) communication (or lack of) breakdown - lack of accountability / followup. I could (and should) have purchased the part beforehand and had it available for the technician. Instead, I placed my trust in .the folks at Class Appliance. Darsh was extremely professional and courteous. It was not his fault. After he left, I purchased the part, brought it back and installed it myself. The handle on my refrigerator broke at the screws. I called Class Appliance Centers for a service call and part to replace it. I was expecting the part to need ordering, shipping, yada, yada, yada. Instead, after a brief phone call and follow-up call, I was told there would be no diagnostic fee because the problem was known. The part would be picked up by the tech at the warehouse on his way to my house THE NEXT MORNING. Wow. That was totally unexpected. Brian arrived during the time span scheduled, quickly fixed the problem and conducted the whole service call in a very professional manner. I called Class Appliance for my dishwasher repair. No issues with the communication and ease of making an appointment. Upon arrival of the technician I tried to explain the issue and what steps I had done and what I felt was the problem. The technician immediately went into his monologue of how he knew exactly what was wrong and how it was not a very good dishwasher. He would have to order the part and could replace it in a few days. I have had this dishwasher looked at before and it can be hooked up to a computer and have a diagnostic test run, I was surprised that he did not do this. Technician came back within the promised time frame but when the part was replaced the dishwasher still did not work. A call to the manufacturer was made and several other possibilities were discussed and I was now told not only was the original part bad I now needed an additional part for $150 more. How he knew the original was bad baffles me since he still opted to bypass any diagnostic test. At this point I have lost all confidence in his ability and asked that the old part be put back in and he could keep the service/trip/diagnostic fee. The attached pictures are how he left my dishwasher. He has drilled new holes in the side of my cabinet, did not level the dishwasher, replaced the kick plate at an angle and the door does not open smoothly. I called their office at 9am because my LG refrigerator was losing temp, melting ice, and needed a repair very soon. I explained my situation and was told that she would call me right back after speaking with the manager. After waiting 3 hours, I called the office again to inquire as to when we could schedule a repair and save my thawing food. I was informed that there were no technicians who could work on my refrigerator, and oh, I guess they had no intention of calling me back. Class appliance has NO CLASS! Called to schedule appt. spoke with Scott asked about the fees for service repair. The website clearly states 89.00 fee waived if you proceed with repair. However Scott said that's not their policy. I informed him that I was quoting the information on there website. He said I would need to talk to the manager placed me on forever hold and then said the manager was very busy in a meeting and would have to call me back. He was clearly so busy he never returned my call to schedule an appointment but found the time to change the policy listed on their website now stating the 89.00 is a required fee regardless whether you have them fix it or not. Bottom-line is someone messed up but as a matter of principle what initially showed on the website (which I snapped a screen shot of before they changed it ) is what should be honored. This store was extremely disappointing. I asked for service for my refrigerator. They sent someone out who did a couple of diagnostic tests and then called the manufacturer. From that phone call, I was told the repairs would be very expensive as I needed a new sensor board and circuit board. I was told that I would be called with an estimate and my $89 fee for the service call would be applied to the repair should I choose to get it. NOBODY called me with an estimate. And, ironically a friend was able to fix the problem without replacing ANY parts. (A $200 job versus the "expensive" repair this company said it would be. Our Samsung dryer stopped heating up so my husband and I decided we would try to troubleshoot the problem ourselves. After watching a few YouTube videos and doing some Google searches we determined that the problem was either one of the FOUR thermostats or possibly the heating element. We took the whole dryer apart and pulled out the four thermostats and brought them to Class Appliance. The gentleman was kind and courteous and genuinely interested in helping us to get our dryer back in action. He was nice enough to test out all four thermostats for us and determined that they were all working properly. He suggested we run home and grab the heating element coil so that he could test that for us. We ran home and back and had the coils tested where we learned that there was a break. At that point the store was supposed to be closing but the gentleman was kind enough to stay open, give us the part that we needed and give us back all of our parts. We were referred to Class Appliance through Lowe's to have our refrigerator repaired. Over a month later we are still waiting on the parts. After the repair man came out initially to look at a simple issue with our ice maker our entire refrigerator stopped working and we ended up loosing most of our food from both the fridge and freezer. We had a burner go out on our LG stove and we thought since they would be coming for that, we could have them look at our refrigerator that was making noises. They had serviced our stove previously and had all of our model information ahead of time. I called to schedule and it took them a week to be able to come out for a service call. Not sure why it was called a "service" call since they performed no service. The guy could not speak English. He struggled looking at the stove and as far as the refrigerator was concerned, my husband had to show him how to take it apart and find the part that needed replaced (defrost timer). It was after 5pm when he got there, so even though he said he had the part for the fridge on the truck, he couldn't replace it because he didn't know how much it cost and there was no one at the store that could tell him how much to charge. And I don't expect them to have every part for every appliance, but they knew what burner was out and had our model information and had a week before someone could come out, but they were not prepared. So we paid $139 for a service call for both appliances and rec'd NO SERVICE. When they called me the next day for repair quotes, I about fell over. I knew a burner would not be cheap, but their labor rates are RIDICULOUS! The part for the refrigerator was $55 and they wanted to charge another $150 to replace the part less the $60 we paid for the service call. To fix the refrigerator, all you had to do was take out 3 screws, pull the cover down, take the one part out, put the new one in and close it back up. It took my husband all of 5 minutes. I asked them how that could possibly cost $150 and they couldn't explain. We only ordered the part through them. The stove repair cost was a total of $270 less the service call fee of $79. So we waited a week for them to come out for a service call and then another week for the parts to come in or PART to come in. They had the stove burner come in and wanted to setup the time for the repair and when I asked them about the part for the refrigerator, they acted like they had no idea what I was talking about and had to call me back. Oh, that part would be in the next day (or they never ordered it to begin with, thinking we would forget about it since we weren't going to pay them an extra $150 for 5 minutes of work to install it). So i stressed to them the importance of having the appt early in the day as I work all day and my husband was only going to be home during the morning hours. They didn't seem to care about that either as they scheduled the appt between 1pm and 4pm. The repair guy showed up and it took him all of 20 minutes to replace the burner on the stove and it took my husband 5 minutes to replace the part on the fridge and we paid almost $400 for this! Was ridiculous and the only reason we used them to begin with was because they are an authorized LG appliance repair shop. UGH, never again! read more

I have a Samsung waterfall dish washer for 16 months. It was installed by a professional and it worked ok but the door did not seam to close properly. I asked at that time and was told that it was correct. 6 months later the door would not close properly and I called Samsung they sent out a service man and he worked on it for hours and changed the door latch and it was ok but still not what I thought to be right. and now just out of warrantee had the same problem. I called Samsung and they recommended Class apl. Darsh came out and in 5 min saw the problem and adjusted the legs on the machine and now it is correct. Darsh appeared to be very well trained and experienced. He then took time to tell me things about my other Samsung apl. and how to take care of them to keep them running longer. The service call fee was the same as others in the area (to high in my mind) but I am very satisfied that Darsh found what 2 others did not. I hope this helps someone in the future. read more
