I asked for a recommendation in the Facebook Group, What's happening in Paulding, and this shop was recommended. I called and spoke to Mike. Based on what I told him was happening, he diagnosed the problem as being the thermostat and said he can get this repaired the next day. So I dropped off my car a couple of hours later and literally less than 24 hours my car was repaired and ready for pick up. I had already called the dealer and other shops just to get an idea of the cost I could expect and I actually paid a couple of hundred less here at Maximum Auto. Kevin shared that he was at risk of losing his job and was a lead tech, although listed as the owner. 'Management' also contacted and asked that I take the review down and offered to refund the labor. At this point (2 days later) I had already taken the vehicle to the Toyota dealer, as his 'management' advised the vehicle was complex and initially declined looking at the vehicle without another charge. Toyota Diagnosis: improper fitting and installed spark plugs. Cost: 98$ inspection- which was deducted from repair cost. Repair cost total, including one day vehicle rental, 468.79$. I reached back out to Kevin and 'Management', via text and email, three consecutive days- excluding Sunday, explaining the outcome and requesting a partial refund (spark plugs, diagnosis, and labor). I have not received a response and am now seeking civil action. Receipts attached. Again, the purpose of this review is to bring awareness.

Be patient if you leave a couple voicemails with days in between a call back (or weeks). When you're good it means you're busy. Then stop worrying once you're booked because this will be a less expensive journey than usual. You'll get a legit assessment of what needs done, and no pressure to change those filters or wiper blades (or timing belt) if you don't want to. No frills means low overhead; gravel lots with a few cars like the windows-down 2-door Mercedes parked means you're not paying for all the marketing. It's just car-fixing like it should be. Last time I went in thinking I needed a complete wiper reservoir replacement. Nope, just a wiper fluid hose for pretty cheap. We'll keep coming back since cars don't fix themselves. Currently I'm not at all fretting about our teenager's car we just had towed in after stalling in an intersection. How bad could it be? And of course I'll continue wondering how much he'd charge to get that old Mercedes in his lot back on the road. Alysia on reception was amazing, professional and courteous she explained the procedure to check my transmission to me. The whole team of mechanics treated my vehicle impeccably and undertook a full car inspection as well as the transmission issue.
