The building itself is quaint, very well-kept, and brings a touch of nostalgia of happier simpler times. My studio in particular had lots of natural lighting and greenery outside which made it feel all the more homey. I stayed in Alex's apartments for 2.5 years and I had a great experience. The apartments themselves are beautiful. I always got a plethora of compliments from visitors on how cute the apartment itself was, especially the kitchen and bathroom which have that classic retro LA charm. Alex was extremely responsive and attentive the whole time. Whenever there was something wrong, we would immediately start getting someone dispatched over to support in the next day or so, and the repair and maintenance people were always professional, timely, and friendly. I lived at the Glendale classic apartments for about 2 and a half years. Alex was always very responsive when it came to anything I needed attending to, but I never had anything major happen. I really really loved living here and I would of continued to stay for a few more years if I didn't have to travel for work. When i was looking for an apartment during covid, my deciding factor always included looking for a space that feels peaceful, and that was the reason I moved here. He held the apartment for me for a month because I told him i loved it so much. Was so very thankful he did that. The apartment is charming and beautiful with stores like Walgreens, Trader Joes, and Coffee bean just around the block. I lived at the 1019 N. Louise Street apartment complex in Glendale for 11 1/2 years. Alex is a top-notch building manager. He was always responsive to my needs whenever my home needed minor repairs. He's very professional, kind and friendly. Aside from managing the complex, he has great interior design style and a wonderful architectural aesthetic. I enjoyed my home very much with its charm and character of the 50's as well as the newly, beautifully renovated exterior. I loved having a Murphy bed in the living room if I had an overnight guest. There's lots of storage and the kitchen was huge compared to the standard "galley" style kitchens in most apartments. I highly recommend these apartments which are affordable and nicely maintained. I am thankful to have had such a great living experience. I would probably still be there today however a great career opportunity relocated me to Virginia as well as being closer to my family. I lived in 1023 N. Louise St. for a little over a year. The landlord/property manager Alex is great and he made my stay there pleasant. Whenever anything broke, there was a repairperson on the job within at least a day and he is very easy to talk to and work with. The apartment was clean and pretty much free of pests except for a few silverfish. The rental price was decent given the local market. If I was looking to move to Glendale again, I would not hesitate to rent with Alex! read more

From the moment I contacted Alex to view the studio apartment until the last few hours I spent moving out of it, I had the best experience. The studio was in the perfect location and was the perfect size for me. Alex was professional, courteous and always timely with my requests for maintenance. I only had a few requests throughout my renting experience, and when I did, Alex made sure that everything was taken care of within 24 hours. My husband and I have lived at the W. Alameda Ave. apartment in Burbank for a little over 1.5 years. Alex has been such a great landlord to us, and takes care of any need that arises, as quickly as possible. He does an amazing job of keeping the premises clean and well-maintained. Alex is very fair with rates, and is an all-around great property manager. We loved everything about our apartment - clean, charming, great location, etc. - and are sad to go. Unfortunately, being forced to work from home due to the pandemic has led us to the difficult decision of looking for another apartment with more space (we lived in a 1bd). My wife and I lived in Alex's building for a year back around 2008/2009. The apartment was great- but that's not what makes it 5 stars. Alex was just a good property manager! We had a few little things happen (once with a water heater and once with some stuck windows) and Alex always had someone on the property to check it out and fix it the very next day. Other than that, he really stayed out of our hair...which is exactly what people want in a landlord, right? The landscaping was beautiful always. I hear he even hires ACTUAL arborists --from TreeCareLA ;) --to take care of the trees! We only moved because I got a job in Inglewood and the commute was too much. If you like the building/location, then go for it. You won't have to worry about the property management. read more

Alex is the best property manager I've ever rented from. Hands down! In 17 years of being a tenant, nobody holds a candle to him. We rented from Alex for nearly five years - and don't have a single complaint. He was there if we needed him - but otherwise gave us our space. He struck a perfect balance. He's incredibly fast, responsive and level. If we needed something fixed he responded immediately. When our water heater broke, he somehow knew before we did and had someone there to fix it within an hour of discovering the issue. When our roof sprung a leak in the middle of the night on Dec 23rd - he had someone there to fix it the next day (xmas eve). The property was well taken care of and communication was easy. I wish they all could be like Alex. Truly. It's weird to miss a landlord. If you have an opportunity to live in one of his properties - absolutely take it. While living at his Glendale property for over 5 years, Alex always responded to questions punctually and when the rare maintenance request happened it was always resolved promptly. The one-bedroom apartment has plenty of storage space for two people and it really felt like a home. The neighborhood is very walkable with a pharmacy, grocery store and coffee shop only one block away. Living in Alexander Bermudez' apartment has been by far the best apartment experience I have had yet. The landscaping surrounding the apartments are well maintained by a friendly weekly crew. In the event of any malfunction, (garbage disposal, leaky faucet, the usual..) he has sent his maintenance guys over promptly, usually within hours. The actual apartments are beautiful, with hardwood floors and some crown molding. The tenants around us are always friendly and polite, as if they have been handpicked for their amicable personalities. In direct contrast to the stereotype of the overbearing landlord or property manager, Alexander Bermudez is a dream. He does not micromanage his tenants; rather, he quietly creates a beautiful and peaceful atmosphere that his tenants a happy to preserve. I absolutely loved living in my studio on Louise!!! I was so lucky to have found Classic Apartments (here on yelp) and been put in contact with Alex. At the time I was desperately looking for a new place closer to work, and the second I was there for the walk through, I knew this was the fit for me. I ended up living there for three years. My neighbors were super quiet, and my studio was ridiculously spacious in comparison with other options. My unit had tons of storage and a full kitchen in another room (divided by a wall from my living area). It was super charming. I never had any issues with the unit (except a quick fix for my disposal), and Alex was super easy to get in touch with. He keeps all the units in excellent condition, and pays attention to making the facade look inviting. The next tenant will totally be lucky to have it! I'm going to miss this place. read more

I've been living in one of the apartment complexes that Alex manages for the past 2 years and it has been nothing but pleasant and hassle-free! The couple of times that I needed to get something fixed he was on it and the problem was fixed the same day. You can always get ahold of him - no leaving voice mail messages that get ignored....I even called him on Father's Day once because I was having a plumbing issue and he answered his phone and sent over the maintenance crew! Alex is very easy to work with - no drama, no hassle and very accommodating. This was my first apartment experience and I'm afraid I've been spoiled to the point that any other landlord/manager is going to have a hard time living up to my expectations! The grounds of the apartment that I rented were well maintained because Alex cares about what his property looks like and our perceptions about the our homes. He was able to adjust his schedule if something needed to be done at the apartment and that is something you won't find very often. Plus the added fact that he owned the building I rented from him, made it important to him to heed every need as well. I was transferred by my job to another town and is the reason why I had to relocate, but I will say that Alexander is the best landlord I have had, hands down. Alex Bermudez was an amazing property manager. We lived in an industrial loft downtown that he managed for just around 4 years and only have good things to say about him. Being that space was what I said, an industrial loft and not just a condo calling itself a loft because it had exposed brick there would occasionally be a problem here or there. Alex was always quick to get it sorted out and was super accommodating about our schedules if the fix necessitated someone getting inside the unit. Also he is just a really nice pleasant guy that I liked talking too.
