I've REALLY tried to not write this review, but at this point in time, I just cannot recommend this…read morebuilding to new renters. The GOOD: 1) I love my actual apartment. My loft townhouse style apartment is exactly what I wanted, floor plan wise, and my neighbors have been absolutely the most respectful and quiet 2) THE LOCATION- feels like living in a small town while being a block away from the city. It's safe, clean and the neighbors are the nicest people. THE BAD 1) the management here is the worst management team I have ever dealt with in my 22 years of rental history. Let me elaborate: A) since moving in 6 months ago, we have been promised: a new toilet (ours was severely cracked upon move in) New fans in our bathrooms (they're both growing mold because there isn't proper ventilation), A second garage spot - which we were promised in our lease, and then had taken away from us because they actually gave us someone else's spot. Then we were told that there was an ongoing parking audit (apparently 6 months long at this point) so they don't actually know which spots are empty. Then they finally assigned us another garage spot, and guess what? It actually belongs to someone else. Again. So now still don't have our second spot 6 months through the lease B) the management team does not care about rule breakers. Once you move in you gain access to a community message board and let me tell you... WOW. There are posts nearly every single day about packages getting stolen (the complex refuses to put in the newer Amazon package lockers and also refuses to install security cameras! FUN!), our complex is supposed to restrict loud noise in the courtyard, as units face it, but on weekends people bring out legit DJ setups and the bass vibrates the entire complex and the managements response is "I mean... it's Saturday?". Cool, it's also a violation of the lease, so...? C) MOLD MOLD MOLD. That same message board has dozens of posts about mold in units. Ours also has a mold issue. We contacted the residents who lived in our unit previous to us and guess what? They also had mold that the office refused to do anything about. The management team doesn't think it's a cause for concern, and so their solution is to have the poor maintenance guy (who is wonderful) come in and wipe it off with bleach. Which works for about a week. D) single pane windows - I didn't think this would be a big deal, but these units haven't been properly updated and you can hear every bit of noise. Because of these windows, it's also insanely hot in the units. AC is required all day long E) just found out that, although our leases say we can't sublease, select renters are actually granted the ability to post "long term vacation rentals" through Air BnB. And on top of that, management told me that don't run credit OR check prior law convictions on these "vacation renters". That means we could all be living next to a pedophile, and no one would know. COOL. All said and done. I won't be leaving, specifically because moving sucks, and the location is amazing... but I would advise new renters to look elsewhere. For a similar ish price, the Village at Toluca Lake is a much better managed building, and more upgraded too. If you do choose to move here, you've been properly warned

I'm leaving this review because I wish someone had been this direct before I moved in…read more This place is marketed as "luxury," but the reality is an old building with persistent quality-of-life issues that management either can't or won't get ahead of. 1) Trash areas are disgusting and regularly overflow. I'm attaching a photo of the trash area near the elevators where garbage is piled up and spilling out. It's not a one-off. When the shared spaces look like this, it tells you everything you need to know about how the property is being run. 2) Roaches. I'm also attaching photos of a roach in/around the bathroom area (near the shower items). And no, this isn't just "a random bug." Neighboring tenants have confirmed it's been an ongoing issue in the building. 3) Old building + old elevators + constant disruptions. The elevators are old and the building feels dated across the board. Fire alarms have gone off at weird times at night, waking tenants and forcing people to vacate. On top of that, water shutoffs happen way too often (it felt nearly monthly) "for maintenance." That's not normal living--especially for what they charge. 4) "Security" feels like a marketing line. They claim security is on-site, but I've personally seen homeless individuals make their way into the parking garage and even into the elevators multiple times. That's a serious safety concern, and it didn't feel like access was controlled. 5) Front office is unprofessional. Interactions with the front office were consistently frustrating--unprofessional, and at times borderline rude. If you end up needing help from Jen or Will, don't expect clear answers or urgency. Bottom line: If you know what's best, look elsewhere. Between the overflowing trash, roach issue, safety concerns, and constant disruptions, this place isn't worth the stress.

I moved here for the park up the street so my dog could have some space to run around; I stayed for two years. The benefit of the complex is that it is centrally located. Freeway entrances are right across the street which is convenient for a morning commute. The cons of the complex are lengthy. I have experienced someone from the complex attempting to unlawfully enter my apartment at least twice. I have a big dog that prevented entry, but signs of attempt were clear. My apartment flooded within three or four months of my moving in. The complex told me they would provide me with a check to cover damage and expenses in having to relocate to a hotel for four nights with my dog. I did not receive any such check; instead they credited my rent $500 and called it a day. My expenses due to their negligence were closer to $1500. The area is extremely unsafe. The complex is aware of break-ins to cars in the garage almost monthly and does nothing to update security. There is an "emergency" maintenance line that is never answered. Any real emergencies will leave you feeling panicked, frantic, and forgotten. That's exactly what you are. When tenants unfortunately suffer evictions, notices are posted on the glass door for everyone to see. There is nothing "luxury" about broadcasting evictions. Jones & Jones are slum lords. If you are a single woman living alone, please consider literally any place else. Unless you have a big dog. And even then... please consider any place else.

From day one, the property management and maintenance teams have been nothing short of exceptional. They are incredibly kind, approachable, and genuinely create a personal connection with residents--which is rare to find. Every maintenance request I've submitted has been handled quickly and efficiently, but what really stands out is the follow-up. I'm never left wondering about the status of a ticket--they proactively keep me informed every step of the way, which makes such a difference. A special thank you to Dana, the property manager, who has been amazing since coming on board. She is attentive, organized, and truly cares about the residents and the overall experience in the building. And Leonard from maintenance deserves just as much recognition--he is fantastic. Professional, reliable, and always goes above and beyond. There's currently some minor construction happening on the first floor, and I initially thought it might be disruptive--but it's honestly been the complete opposite. It's so well-managed and unobtrusive that I barely even notice it. The construction team is also incredibly friendly and respectful, which just adds to the overall positive environment here. All in all, this has been such a seamless and enjoyable transition for us, and I truly couldn't recommend this building more. It feels like home--and that says everything.

Management has regressed year after year, with the initial manager (Silvia) being generally available and helpful to the best of her ability, but the current manager (Toyia) being one of the most unhelpful and un-poker-faced liars I've ever met. Phone goes unanswered despite multiple repeated calls, emails are unreturned despite copying the corporate supervisors, and even if you go in person to the office, chances are you'll run into a temp who has no clue what to do as the actual manager is frequently absent or better yet, they are on a unannounced break sitting in the office with the lights off. Resident concerns went unaddressed for months and it took an incident involving LAPD in full riot gear and the neighbors banding together before any action by management. The veneer of the building is that it's a beautiful, quiet, peaceful, and accessible place in Toluca Lake. The loft unit is what sold me. That's about where the good stuff ends. The walls are paper thin, the elevator has piss and sticky residue weekly, the garages are not secure, people come and go at all hours of the night, and there has been numerous security incidents of theft and vandalism. Doors are propped open faster than you can close them. Private security patrol is a recent addition after the October incident (google Toluca Lake shooting), however, it doesn't appear that they were informed of what/where concerns were as they walk around aimlessly and the same issues continue to occur. When it rains, the courtyard floods, leading to the pipes in the garage overflowing and leaking onto residents' cars. The loft rooftops leak water down to your living room, and if you're on a lower level, the rain comes in through the walls and through the courtyard floor. Overall, loud neighbors and thin walls are fairly standard and forgivable when renting, but the fact that management is simply unresponsive, irresponsible, and unaccountable for keeping the building secure and residents safe as a basic necessity makes this place truly terrifying.

Poor internal communication. Unreliable expectations. Staff is clueless. Don't bother.

The courtyard is always clean, has lounge seating, grills, and a spectacular view from the third floor! There are bike racks in the garage and a trashcan with poop baggies for the pups right outside. We've enjoyed decorating our apartment, and our friends rave about how it feels so much like a home. The location is amazing: down the street from the airport (we don't hear the planes), between two parks, a fire station, a storage center (with the first month free), a hotel, and several shopping centers. There's always plenty of street parking for guests, and the walk around the neighborhood is nice! I have no complaints. If you can snag an apartment here, jump on it!

We loved everything about the building it was always well kept and always clean. Denise, the building manager, was such a pleasure to deal with. She was always so pleasant and took care of any maintenance work we requested within 24 hours. She was always so understanding and accommodating. Another really cool feature of the building was the roof top! I had my birthday party there with all our friends and family. It's a huge entertaining area with the beautiful outdoor breeze. There are tables, chairs and bbq there ready for you to host a party or a small get together. The rent I also though was very competitive for the market. The building is situated in the heart of burbank adjacent to Toluca lake and just walking distance from many restaurants and shops. We would have stayed here longer but we are expecting a baby and needed the extra space. I would recommend this building to all my friends and family. Thank you Denise for being the best!!!

Nancy and Scott are the most sweetest human beings I've ever met, they care about the sky view terrace building as their home, the community here (it is always so clean! Notices and communication is always clear and accessible) and trouble shoot any issues that come up with such grace. Denise the building owner is really great about communicating with you if you have any questions, something is happening at the building or there are any issues with rent checks. There are large numbers of homeless individuals around the block, and I've personally been chased multiple times. It's incredibly stressful just coming and going from your own home. Another major issue is the trash collection. The city trash truck consistently comes before 7 AM, and the noise is extremely loud--it will wake you up whether you want it or not. I brought this up to management, but their response was essentially that there's nothing they can do. So you're stuck dealing with it every single morning. On top of that, the building itself is poorly managed. From noisy neighbors throwing parties and screaming at 4 AM to other ongoing issues, management never takes meaningful action. Their response is always the same generic script: "We are working on the issue. If you're not happy, we can review lease termination options with you." In other words, either tolerate the problems or pay more money to leave. The neighbors above me are extremely loud and seem to start their activity late at night, often around 1 AM. The noise is so intense that it wakes me up with a racing heart. It's not occasional--it's every single night. I haven't been able to sleep in my own bedroom for the past year because of this. Instead, I'm paying $3,400 a month just to sleep on my sofa. That's completely unacceptable and far beyond anything anyone should have to tolerate. Between the unsafe surroundings, constant noise, and lack of accountability from management, living here has been extremely frustrating. This place has seriously impacted my quality of life, and I regret signing a lease here.

The lobby smelled amazing and the entire vibe felt warm and inviting. They offered me coffee and had apples and bananas out which my son absolutely loved. Chelsea is the one who toured me and she was so kind so sweet and absolutely amazing. After seeing the rooftop, the gym and everything else I'm seriously considering this place. If there's one thing I noticed it's that they actually make you feel like a future resident not just a number based on when I needed to move in.
