Needed a barn door to install at my new build house, paid for the door one year ago and at that time it was tols to be around 8 weeks. And that's why we chose them instead of other companies because their delivery time, even though they were not the chepeast. 8 weeks have passed and started to ask for install date monthly. Each time they would tell me different problems they are having. The first two times were like OK not a problem we can't wait. But after more than 6 months and more than a few type of excuse we think is a bit ridiculous. We had our swimming pool built in 3 months and this company can't even have a barn door made in over 10 months? Nothing but excuses after excuses, and did I mentioned I had to email them days before the appointment to make sure and they told me have to postpone. I highly recommend everyone to stay away from this company unless you are willing to wait..... Indefinitely. read more

I called them and they came out. He did not try to Up! sell me on building new doors (appreciated the sentimental value of something I built with my dad) and they built a custom track for my needs. To say I am satisfied with my new barn doors would be a huge understatement. I am in love with my new barn doors! I called Classic Barn Door Company and spoke to the owner Rick who came right out to my home to give me a quote. The area I had the doors installed is a large office space with a pony wall. This was definitely a custom job. Rick measured the area and gave me a fair quote and offered quite a few suggestions. He brought pictures of the barn doors they offer and explained in detail how they are different from other barn doors on the market. He explained the hardware is real barn hardware and the doors are thick and of great quality. These doors are everything and more. Rick suggested a custom shelf be built also, which I absolutely love. I highly recommend this company for good quality barn doors and friendly service. We reached out to 4 different local barn door companies, and had 2 come out to give us quotes. Rick was the most professional of the 4 (by a mile), and quite a bit less expensive than the other guy. We appreciated that he was down to earth and a straight shooter - he just talked real and was direct about pricing and what he could do for us for multiple doors price break. No monkey business. No suddenly being able to drop the price when we waited a few weeks to make a decision. He checked in after a few weeks, non-chalantly, with zero pressure. The door is great quality, really heavy, solidly installed. He even added some extra soundproofing for a reasonable add-on, which is extremely effective at blocking sound. He was super knowledgeable about different styling of the track and handles, and took extra time to find us a specific handle style. Install was quick and easy. Just a pleasure to have him in the house and get to know him a bit. He had a woman assisting him who was really friendly. And on top of it they were nice to my baby and dog. Come onnnnnn. I contacted several barn door installation companies to install new doors asap. Two days later Rick Segan - owner of Classic Barn Door Company arrived at my home and gave me a very expensive quote to install 2 doors that I already owned, claiming he was going to re-condition the rollers and tracks. I only agreed because he said he would be back in a few days and I needed the doors asap. I ended up sanding down the existing doors, prepping them for installation. He said he would be back that Friday to install the doors with his helper. Friday arrived and Rick showed up but only removed the rollers and took the tracks, which I was concerned, he could have done that when he was there days earlier. He then presented me with a contract and stated he needed 50% down of $750. (total of $1500) I then asked about the installation and he only then informed me he was several weeks out. I would have never hired him as I had guests coming in at the end of February and needed to secure my end of the house so I could safely leave town with my belongings locked up. He promised to return within 2 weeks. It has been almost a month, he took my check, and I have not heard a peep out of him, not a phone call nothing. My guests arrived and I have no doors to secure my office. I am extremely disappointed, I was lied to and now I'm out $750. read more
