The dent classic collision gave my truck

Really surprised with my experience here. My younger sister got into a fender bender, so I immediately found this shop. It was local, had good reviews, and had photos of previous work. It checked all boxes, but once the repair was completed, is when it all went downhill. Classic Collision damaged my Tacoma and tried to hide the damage by buffing the marks off the dent. I noticed the dent immediately after driving home from pick-up. I drove back and noticed someone burned the clear coat off my truck and even damaged my paint in an attempt to hide damage on my 2025 Tacoma. I will give props that they immediately took responsibility and fixed the truck. But AGAIN, on pickup from the PDR for the dent Classic Collision caused and from the repaint due to them trying to hide the damage and causing more damage to my paint. There was overspray all over my hood, new scratches, and a big ol' nick in the paint on my passenger side door as a parting gift. It was a waste of time and constant back and forth. I didn't leave the truck again so they could just cause more damage while "fixing" the damage they caused. What a joke! BEWARE: look over your car, take pictures before drop-off, on pickup, and look at the vehicle in multiple lighting. The shop will try to hide damage.

I unfortunately got backed into when my car was parked and had to take it in for repair. Classic Collision is a Tesla Certified repair center and did an amazing job with the work. They are very communicative over email and really made the process as quick as possible for me. After going through the other person's insurance, Classic Collision offered that I pay a deposit, then they would order the parts, and had me wait to drop my car until the parts arrived. I didn't have to be without my own vehicle for too long- just a week! My car honestly looked like new upon getting it back. So impressed. This shop is located right next door to an Enterprise car rental, which was really convenient for getting a rental while my car was getting repaired.

My car was unfortunately hit whenever it was parked, and I was sent to classic collision through insurance and I absolutely loved the employees there as they were so friendly. I brought in my car in on a Wednesday and it was done on a Friday. It was so quickly done, but it was so efficiently done as well. When I got my car back, it was vacuumed and washed so it looked beautiful and that was no charge so I appreciated that. I also had a bolt unscrewed and they screwed that in for me for free so I also appreciated that too. Highly recommend this place.

I hadn't had a detail in a decade and it was just filthy inside and out. It's a NEW car, minus the dent I need to have vacuumed or sucked out and the driver's seat. Saab leather cracks sooner than other brands. My Nissan Pathfinder LE (1998) lasted much longer. I took a video but will get pictures later and upload to phone. I cannot believe the ceiling. Like no one ever smoked! It's shiny, shiny, shiny. They did the interior and exterior, plus engine. Elite detailing isn't cheap but if , like me, you paid cash for your used car and have no payments, who cares? It's like a couple months car payment or so. Do yourself a favor and call for a quote. The website has no prices but they also do ceramic coating, with several tiers of packages. You can do a mini-detail or just regular car wash but if you leave the car with them for a day, they will give you a NEW CAR back at the day's end. I'm still on Cloud 9. Floating! He wasn't on the list. My friend, Evan Schoolnik Berger, has a food tour company that didn't make the list. My chiropractor and gym made it. Barry Family Chiro and SBAC/SWELL are the best in town. I was stressed and looking for help when I happened to drive by Sunshine Auto Spa around 6:30 PM -- well after their normal closing time -- and saw them still hard at work. I stopped in and spoke to David, and he immediately stepped in to help me out. Not only did he take the time to assess the damage, but he and his team also went above and beyond by staying late to remove the scratches and also for the paintwork -- all on the spot, the same evening. I honestly couldn't believe how accommodating, professional, and kind they were. The work they did was flawless -- my rental looked like nothing had ever happened. And to top it off, the price was incredibly reasonable. It's rare to find service this good and people who genuinely care about helping others. Thank you again, David and team, for turning a stressful situation into such a positive experience.

Someone slammed there Car door recently into my left rear door denting it badly. Marsha (the owner's wife) at John Briggs Motorsports assured me that they could fix it like New. I dropped my truck off on Sept 4th and they called me on the 11th that my truck was done (8 days seems a bit excessive). I go there to pick up my truck at noon and right away I notice that I can still see the dent and ripples in the paint, it looked like a really bad job, also little chips of paint missing on the edge of the door and the inside of my truck smells really bad of glue, which I don't think is normal. Also the lower part of the door is pushed in where it seams with the front door. After pointing this out to Marsha she runs her hand all over the door and tells me that "You know Black is really hard to work with and most people that own trucks aren't as picky as you." I then said are telling me this is a professional job and that you can't get it any better because it's black. She says no I can see that it needs a sanding and repainting and it can be made better, and might have to replace the door. I said well how come you didn't replace the door in the beginning and she says it's because the insurance only pays a certain amount of money for these jobs and that we have to get them done in a set amount of time. She then shows me a classic corvette body in the back room they are working on that has a very nice paint job and how they are able to do great work on it cause it's a private customer who is paying by the hour. I then said are you saying my insurance didn't pay you enough because the $1,850 seems like a lot to fix this door, especially since State Farm's preferred body shop only quoted me $1,200. She says no it's plenty of money. She tells me since I'm not happy then to bring my truck in next Tuesday and leave it for at-least 4 more days and if they can't get it right then they will replace the door. I ask Ok well how long could that take she says maybe 7-10 days. And tells me to take my truck home until the 18th and put the truck in the Sun to let it dry more and maybe I'll be happy with it and tells me to leave the State Farm check and my deductible check with them in the mean time. I said Ok and drove away with my truck to Enterprise in Goleta. I showed my truck to 2 employees at Enterprise and without telling them which door John Briggs worked on, they both pointed out the same door. 2 complete strangers were able to see the damage. I set up a rental agreement with Enterprise for the 18th and called my insurance State Farm. My insurance told me to not leave the checks with John Briggs Motorsports until they were completely done fixing my truck. So I went back to the shop and asked for my checks back explaining to Marsha that my insurance is saying not to leave them it's not normal procedure. Marsha says Ok I'll give you back the Insurance check but not your deductible check unless you leave the truck here. I said Ok and followed her into the office, she hands me the State Farm check and as she's doing it this big guy walks around the corner and says and I quote "What's wrong, O shit! I could smell this happening, it's a Fucking Ford the whole things a Dent to start with." I then said excuse me who are you? Then he says "Don't Fucking ask me who I am". I immediately walked out of the office and back to my truck. Marsha comes out and apologizes to me over and over and I said I can't believe that just happened I'm not bringing my truck back here. She told me that was her husband and that he was upset that a painter didn't show up. I said that's no excuse for the way I've been treated and I want my deductible check back too. She gives it to me and I drive away. I immediately called the police and documented everything. Then I went to a State Farm preferred shop in goleta and had them look at it. They right away said they can see the dent still and saw ripples in the paint and pointed out the lower door was pushed in. They also looked over the State Farm original estimate paperwork and on the paperwork it lists off exactly what the body shop was paid for to do. John Briggs Motorsports body shop only painted the door and didn't feather into the front door or can corner or rear truck bed, they did not do what State Farm wrote a check for. This is proof they purposely did a bad job and tried to pocket the rest of the money for work that they never did. I'm reporting them to the bureau of automobile repair and I've already reported them to my insurance company. And I will be filing a complaint with the BBB. So now after wasting 8 days and paying $167 for my rental Car I have to start over with a State Farm "preferred" body shop to get the work done right. People only take your car to the insurance's preferred body shop or they will not back you up.

I took it to another reputable body shop, who immediately pointed out that the bumper was not prepped properly. The surface hadn't been sanded or treated with adhesion promoter before painting. When I brought this up to Mathew, he refused to take responsibility and wouldn't stand behind his work. Any professional shop knows that proper prep is the most basic step in refinishing a replacement bumper, so this was disappointing to hear. Now I'm left with a bumper that needs to be completely redone, at my expense, because of poor workmanship and a lack of accountability. I would strongly recommend taking your car elsewhere if you want the job done correctly and backed by a shop that honors its work.
